  1. Look, we all appreciate all you do with the website and NIL. But you have personal relationships that absolutely cloud your judgment and it's obvious in your posting at times. Barring injury, X is a first round pick or early 2nd at worst. Suggesting he should be benched is insanity.
  2. Even that drop, if it's the one I'm thinking about, was deflected I think, he had to adjust, and ended up behind him a bit. Could have made the catch but it wasn't a pure drop.
  3. WTF? I don't know X drop rate this year but it is miniscule by my eyes. He's been fantastic this season. JFC talking about benching probably the best WR in the country. If you want to talk about drops last year (with a broken hand) fine. But he's the best player on the field for us this year. And then another WTF not seeing MM's bad footwork. He threw off his back foot all game. He's exactly what I expected him to be. A high ceiling QB with virtually no experience playing like it. Some good some bad. Absolutely not reliable at this point with the stretch of games coming up and we're going to have to play really well around him to win. Particularly the OL. The pick he threw was one of the worst I've seen a Texas QB throw in a long time. I recall QE had a similar one against OSU last year. By the way, this isn't a knock on MM. Again, it's damn near impossible to be an above average college QB without more experience if you aren't dual threat.
  4. Time to make another drink and get ready for another night of October Baseball. Let's give em hell!
  5. All I know is every time I watch a few series of a game they are playing it's pure domination. Maybe it's just the sample size and shitty teams. BYU never looked as good as KSU has. I hope it is just the shitty competition but I think we'll have our hands full and need to play well to win.
  6. Good win. I'm not sure how we fix our redzone issues at this point. Especially with a backup QB we don't trust to throw into tight windows. But after being embarrassed in back to back games the Defense showed up. Imagine how dominating a performance that would have been if this shit conference actually called holding. Next week is another story though. KSU playing like a top 10 team right now. Going to absolutely have to bring our A game to win. Should be fun.
  7. If you are pro "cease fire" you are supporting Hamas. Full stop. You don't just get to start a war by invading another country and intentionally killing women and children civillians point blank and call a time out. That's not how the world works.
  8. Chanting or parroting shit like "from the river to the sea" either being so ignorant that they don't know what that means or knowing damn well what it means. Whatever it is. It's disgusting.
  9. Same plan for me this afternoon. Horns leading right into Game 2. Great sports day.
  10. I never had a big chunk of the "left" supporting Hamas (directly or indirectly, whatever, that's exactly what it is) and a big chunk of the "right" supporting Russia and Putin on my 2023 bingo card. What a weird fucking timeline we live in.
  11. Pretty sure there was a ceasefire dude. Then a bunch of subhuman scum crossed the border and indiscriminately shot unarmed men, women and children point blank. So here we are. I'm sure Hamas would LOVE a ceasefire so they can ramp up and do the same fucking thing again. Because a material portion of that populations sole goal in life is killing as many jews as they can. Period. That's it. That's what they live for. Fuck them.
  12. Good. You guys do your part. I was afraid I was going to have to fly back to Miami (where I was games 6 and 7) and watch scores from my phone the rest of the series but thankfully Seager and Adolis saved me from that.
  13. Agreed. Let's beat their ass but a fun team to watch.
  14. Holy fuck what a game. And what a job by the bullpen keeping us in the game. Now to go back and read reactions in this thread.
  15. This. Civillians have had 3 weeks to get out of the war zone. It seems like the terrorists are now in the FAFO phase. Good riddance to all those that shot women and children point blank. Hope they get them all.
  16. LOL. Look, I'm a BBQ snob in Dallas b/c we have a pretty garbage BBQ scene outside of a handful of places. But if I could pack a cooler of Shiner and drive 30 mins to eat average BBQ and drink in the Hill country I would do it at least 2X/year. Y'all are spoiled.
  17. I didn't even know there was a round rock location but good point.
  18. This. I have literally never taken an out of towner to Salt Lick and not gotten rave reviews. It's the entire experience including getting out of the city. Not everyone fucking lives in Austin/Hill Country.
  19. I don't care what anyone says, a perfect fall Saturday is long drinking lunch at Matt's + afternoon Tailgate + DKR a night. Haven't been able to do it once this year but that is the plan for Tech.
  20. Well it's your lucky week you are playing our defense who, without looking at a single stat to back up my assumption, seems to do decent at stopping 3rd and short. But we love to give up 3rd and long (at least we did last week). As for food recs, Matt's El Rancho is still my favorite in Austin when I come in for a game although I'm sure locals may have different opinions. BBQ - I'll let others chime in that know the current state of play better than I do but hard to go wrong in Austin.
  21. Not sure. Maybe I'm just used to paying pro sports prices. Because lower 20YL seats going for like $80 with seatgeak fees is insane to me. I've been traveling all week for work or I would be there. Was planning to sell my 4 and potentially use that to justify splurging for WS game 2 tomorrow (knowing I'll be paying out the ass for game 6 if it comes to that (fucking wife's brothers wedding for game 7). But as it stands now, may end up seeing if I have the energy to drive in with my son tomorrow and enjoying the extra space
  22. This. I'm absolutely disgusted with what is going on right now in this country. Especially after sitting with a jewish client and listening to his personal experiences in New York. I'll stop it there because otherwise will probably get too Cloak Roomy but it's really disappointing that there isn't more backlash. How the fuck did tacitly supporting fucking terrorists become "PC"?
  23. I don't think I ever came back and posted on this thread but I was (as a lawyer, albeit a finance attorney) selected as a juror on a family felony violence trial this summer. It was a pretty fascinating experience. Nobody wanted to be there obviously, but once seated, everyone took it seriously. The guilt/innocence phase was easy and we found him guilty in about 5 minutes. But sentencing phase was tough. We deliberated about 3.5 hours the first afternoon and again another 2 hours the next morning. Extremely diverse jury group with all different experiences that led to strong opinions but everyone was very respectful and listened to each others viewpoint. Actually a pretty refreshing experience in this era of polarization how people from all walks of life can be reasonable and change initial opinions if they just sit and respectfully discuss something. And more importantly it was pretty clear everyone took it home with them after we were deadlocked the first night, thought through counter arguments, and we found a compromise where I don't think anyone thought there would be one the day before. I was one of those that were swayed by strong arguments from others that the more I thought about it I agreed with. It sucked from a work standpoint and I was busy at night catching up on what I would have otherwise been doing during the day, but would honestly recommend it to anyone. It was also great talking to the prosecutors and defense attorneys after.
