  1. I dunno - sounds kind of mainstream and harder to coordinate outfits for. And "From the River to the Sea Donald Trump shall not go free" probably isn't edgy enough.
  2. Just a bunch of good kids peacefully protesting.
  3. 6:30 start Weds. That's almost too early but I'll take it over the late start for sure. Particularly with Mavs playing the late game. Obviously a pretty huge fucking game tonight.
  4. Go to post 1042. More than 1 tent although still incredibly lame. My favorite is what looks like a couch cushion to reinforce their barrier protecting said tents.
  5. If I were personally in charge, I probably would have done what Brisket suggested which is let them fucking cook in the sun all day in their masks then clear them out after sundown.
  6. Look at the picture from today dude. They made a lame little tent city and encircled it locking arms. They could have easily protested within the stated parameters and chose not to. It was a fucking strategy. At least see it for what it is.
  7. Well that wasn't actually the rule. That was Brisket's interpretation of what a reasonable rule would be. The actual rule (dating back to at least 2012 apparently) is no tents. So the rule WAS violated. Intentionally of course. So they could escalate this shit for media attention.
  8. Guess they just wanted to find another rule to violate. So edgy.
  9. Right and let's not pretend if the rule was Brisket's "reasonable rule" of 10PM cut-off, then this same thing wouldn't be happening at 10PM. They got what they wanted.
  10. The entire offseason for the Cowboys has been laughable and this is the icing. Back to Zeke?? LOL. Can't make this up. I can't fathom how anyone manages to be a die hard Cowboys fan. Jerry just steals your time and money laughing all the way to the bank. It's truly such a unique blend of incompetence and DGAF (because the $$ will roll in regardless) that it's pretty fascinating to watch.
  11. Did Kidd talk about this at all post-game? I did not understand strategy there at all. I listened to a pre-playoff interview with Cuban and he specifically talked about how rim protection from Gafford and Lively was a huge part of what turned this season around, and then we just abandon it in the 4th quarter. I'm still at a loss for how we didn't make an adjustment by the 3rd or 4th time Harden drove to the basket without resistance.
  12. I was extremely close to pulling the trigger on tix this morning. Thank goodness I didn't. Really no excuse for coming out this flat with an opportunity to put a stranglehold on this series. Not good.
  13. Maybe the game winner will start a trend of elevating the fucking puck when we're right on him. What a goal. We deserved to win that damn game. Now win another on Monday.
  14. Back in this fucking series. Let's go!!!
  15. Missing the wide open net leading to the shorty was pretty much the only time I've noticed him all series.
  16. I still can't believe Roope didn't finish which led to the shorty. He's probably 90% in that situation and on a cold streak we haven't seen from him. I was convinced he had been injured but certainly not there. Just unbelievable. We would have a 3 or 4 goal lead if Thompson wasn't playing great OR we just fucking finish like we have all damn season. But fuck it. A 1 goal win is the same as a 6 goal win. Get composed, play your game, and just fucking win.
  17. This game is fucking maddening. Thompson just dominating us. And we absolutely refuse to elevate the puck. JFC.
  18. That was such a fun game last night. Didn't even play well offensively but completely dismantled them. The Clippers looked lost in the 2nd half. They made that one run to cut it to 6 or 7 then Kyrie, who hadn't done anything all game with foul trouble, puts up 8 straight. Great W.
  19. That's what it boils down to. It's a great station owned by a garbage corporation and managed by morons. They are going to milk it for all it's worth a few more years then that's that. Decent shows on Middays are almost certainly gone for good. Once the Musers decide to retire and Bob and Corby get through the contract they just signed, the station itself is probably done. The station absolutely should swallow their pride, hire Sirois back at a fair salary and pair him with Donny, but that aint the Cumulus way.
  20. Yall need to go back and read @immamac's post about actually attempting to interject some humor instead of constant outrage posting. Maybe someone else will get it.
  21. Their revolution is over. Condolences! My advice to them is to do what their parents did - get a job! The bums will always lose!
  22. You are a really productive and articulate poster and a great value add to every discussion. Always bringing up new, unique and non-inflammatory talking points to drive intelligent discourse. Keep on being great.
  23. Agreed with this. I think a lot of people are in an absolute state of denial about their State of residence. I have zero idea about Hartzel's personal politics or how much he likes this job, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if he walks away from it. If he does, good luck finding a replacement that is better if you are a liberal. Who would want to step into a situation juggling a heavy liberal leaning faculty student body that happens to be a public institution in a MAGA state with MAGA politicians?
  24. It's not just state politics. It's internal politics as well. He's getting heat for what happened but imagine the heat from those cutting the checks that actually matter if he would have let UT campus turn into Columbia. Just like the Eyes of Texas nonsense that threatened millions in funding he had to navigate. Nobody on this board cares about or likes to consider that reality but it's a fact. A lot easier to have hot takes and play Monday AM QB on a message board where all that is hanging in the balance is internet rep
  25. Pretty sure I saw that Bourque played last night so not sure if we can read anything into that or not. Maybe they wouldn't use him in any event but if he would have been pulled that was probably a sign. Listened to replays of the Deboer and Duchene interviews on the Ticket this AM while walking dog. They are clearly frustrated. The general sense (that I agree with for the most part after taking a step back) is that they haven't necessarily played poorly. They just aren't getting results. This level of play probably has us up 2-0 against most teams or a split at a minimum. Advanced stats show both games have pretty much been 50/50 but the Knights are just making one more play that matters. I think we all felt worse after Weds game mainly because of the way they completely suffocated us down the stretch in the 3rd (and of course the reality of what going down 2-0 means for series changes). It was a masterpiece of a close out. Just need to somehow get game 3 tomorrow.
