  1. I've always had good group meals at Yellowtail in Bellagio just telling the waiter to load us up on his favorites.
  2. I feel "ok" (not great) about Leclerc rested but certainly not a back to back. Astros have a massive BP advantage. Frankly I was pretty shocked we didn't blow the lead yesterday with all 3 pitching back to back.
  3. I don't give a damn what the odds say. I still feel like we're 50/50 at best to win this series. Hope the squad has the same mindset - still playing with house money! Really need the bats to wake up and have a couple of big games. I would be pretty shocked if we hold them to 4 or less again.
  4. Playoff 'bits' are the best. And Creed is a good one. I remember being secretly super jealous of "Gloria" becoming the St. Louis Blues anthem during their '19 cup run for some similarly odd reason.
  5. Have sitter lined up to watch kids, telling clients I'm out Friday afternoon, etc. Would be ecstatic to have to cancel all that.
  6. Quality pitching and D has been a really nice surprise this postseason. But at this point, Houston has seen the reliable pitching Rangers can throw at them (including same BP arms 2X). Rangers bats are going to have to have a couple of big games to take the series IMO. I'm not sure 5 runs wins another game for the Rangers.
  7. Shit. Dusty actually making a smart move for once. Semien was about to crush his soul.
  8. Isn't that supposed to be the PBP? Driving home soon and planned to tune in obviously.
  9. Love it. Umps can't even slow this train down
  10. I'm betting that means the 6 day window. Which is odd, because looking at list of games that week, I'm not sure what matchups possibly move the needle based on game outcomes. It's clear Texas and OU are picks 1 and 2. The other matchup won't draw a meaningful audience.
  11. That's 1. Going to be a tough series but anytime you get a W off of Verlander that's big!
  12. I'll add, to the extent player buy-in was an issue as we've speculated, I can't imagine anything worse than a HC that has kneeled out the clock with all TO's in his pocket in back to back games to close out the half (and then losing close) in modern college football. Who in the world would want to play for that guy.
  13. At some point no matter how rich you are, pissing away $$ for the same results year after year has to take it's toll one would think. This season is already a lost cause from their perspective. And it would be a minor miracle for Johnson to stay healthy the rest of the way through with that OL. If they get blown out by Lane Kiffin, which is a distinct possibility given matchup problems they will have in that game, these theories may get tested.
  14. Yeah, I don't see how this can continue. I know they have some big boosters but surely the same guys funding player payroll would have to fund the buyout. Are these guys sick of throwing good money after bad on the players? Is there really enough money to buy out Jimbo and staff, pay a buyout for a new coach then fund a new crop of players? I get Texas coming to the SEC and the fear that brings is a good way to bring the $$ to the table but at some point the math just doesn't work. And I'm pretty sure the AD itself has a ton of future SEC income already committed to payments on all the facilities from the past decade. Would love to read anyone that has insight into actual A&M finances explain how this math problem can be solved.
  15. Easier to say from the comfort of a high rise office in Austin when you don't have neighboring citizens with this philosophy on life: "The Israelis are known to love life. We, on the other hand, sacrifice ourselves. We consider our dead to be martyrs. The thing any Palestinian desires the most is to be martyred for the sake of Allah, defending his land,"
  16. About what I figured. Good luck reforming that. Case and point why this shit will never end.
  17. Rangers are one of the streakiest teams I've every seen. Particularly 2nd half of the season. I feel like this ends in 5 one way or the other. Of course, considering you never know what you are going to get with the Rangers, and Stros play better on the road than at home, a 7 game series would also be fitting. So yeah, who the F knows. But it's going to be fun.
