  1. I know a few LSU boosters and only one was die-hard about getting Fisher. The rest, as you said, didn't like him from his time as OC there.
  2. Alleva never would have hired Fisher When LSU made the move to fire Les Miles during the 2016 season, a now-SEC coach was the name most commonly bandied about as Miles’ replacement with the Tigers. While current LSU coach Ed Orgeron took over as the interim coach following Miles’ firing on Sept. 25, 2016, there were many folks who thought Orgeron was only going to be a placeholder coach until the end of the season when the school found a guy like Jimbo Fisher to take over the program. On the surface, Fisher to LSU made a lot of sense. He was a former LSU assistant and was the team’s offensive coordinator when the Tigers won the national title over Notre Dame after the 2006 season before moving to Florida State. But according to former LSU athletic director Joe Alleva, Fisher was never an option. Not even at the end of the 2015 season, when Miles’ grip on his job was tenuous as the Tigers beat Texas A&M 19-7 to cap off a 9-3 regular season.
  3. 3 total as a head coach, only one of which was a 1st rounder (Kelvin Benjamin) His offense has an overly complicated route tree that makes is damn near impossible to see playing time as a freshman or sophomore.
  4. Tarp is posting that the Brewster situation is "not over with".....
  5. It is it you don't work for Jimbo. He pushes his offensive line strategy on his OL coaches. Did the same thing to Rick Trickett at FSU.
  6. "Agree with OP. We are letting our family down. The SEC is a brotherhood, a family. It's what separates us from Big Dumpster Fire 12. We cannot afford to lose to BDF, ever. We play Big Boy Football and frankly we just didn't want to be in this game." Ok which one of you assholes posted this. No fucking way these idiots actually think like this.....Yes, I'm aware these are Gomers.
  7. Correct. He oversold the condition the program was in and how long it would take to fix to the boosters. LLetting Taggart go before the end of his 2nd season with $20M of raised donor money doesn't look good but FSU is a top tier job, certainly more top shelf than Aggy, and it will attract interest from good candidates.
  8. Been a few years since I've had it but I was never impressed with Campisis
  9. Amazing she is sticking to her guns on those lies. Fisher had no intention of firing Kelly or Trickett. She doesn't know her ass from a hole in the ground.
  10. As tan as you can get living in Tuscaloosa
  11. I don't buy that. Even if Florida, Miami and FSU all had losing records, Aggy would still have trouble pulling a Miami kid vs those 3, especially a kid from Gulliver or Northwestern. Jimbo doesn't have James Coley anymore to build up that Miami recruiting pipeline like he did at FSU. Aggy is not a draw for Florida kids and never will be.
  12. That's bound to happen anyway. Jimbo Fisher doesn't admit to or acknowledge mistakes. They're always someone else's fault.
  13. Perhaps it slipped by these idiots that Jimbo has only had 3 WRs drafted his entire head coaching career.
  14. That's because they have 12 campuses which all count towards total enrollment I think. At least Aggy is quarantined to fewer campuses. Even being a massive commuter school, UCF has more to offer than Aggy.
  15. Aggy keeps claiming "hit piece" on the Matt Hayes article and I always respond, is it really a hit piece if everything said in it is true? Matt Hayes is a Gator so it's not like he wrote it on FSU's behalf.
  16. Hilarious that recruiting analyst is in quotations....
  17. and still have more national championships than we do It's not considered a hatchet piece when every word of it is true.
  18. Yep, they let Jimbo walk....after he tanked the program and overplayed his hand.
  19. Felipe Franks can barely read a coloring book so his hearing might not be the only issue.
