  2. exactly.. why stick Floridians with $205 million worth of stormwater and wastewater projects when you can get every American to pay for it in disaster relief and recovery funds.
  3. not exactly downtown.. but... 17 stories.
  4. so let me get this straight... a) 2022: 25% of Americans (70 million people) admitted they use illicit drugs, according to the most recent National Survey on Drug Use. b) 2020: Pew and Harvard and Northeastern surveys found that 22% of individuals, or about 72 million people, reported owning a gun. The DOJ has a lot of work ahead of them.
  5. MAGA Senate Candidate's 'Crime Map' Only Shows Drinking Fountains Minnesota Republican Senate candidate Royce White set himself up for mega-mockery on Tuesday after making a social media post that supposedly showed serious crime in Minneapolis. Sadly for the MAGA-supporting White (but great for people who like social media schadenfreude), the “crime map” only showed the location of Minneapolis drinking fountains https://www.yahoo.com/news/maga-senate-candidates-crime-map-180457575.html

  14. while i often think Jon makes cogent insightful points, his interview style (if you can call it that, grates me sometimes). He often interrupts with a non-sequitur to get a laugh. derailing the argument/train of thought the person he is interviewing is trying to make. He does usually get back on track and says "continue":, but you can see the guest struggle to get back to the point he/she was trying to make.
  15. Well this seems appropriate to the media/news discussion. starts at around 14:30 and the loses it at about 16:20 sdgsdg
  16. https://www.yahoo.com/news/fauci-testifies-before-congress-for-first-time-since-leaving-government-5-takeaways-from-the-hearing-183418709.html During the five minutes she was allotted questions, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Republican from Georgia, informed Fauci that she was refusing to call him a doctor because she said she believes he “does not deserve to have a license” and should be “in prison.” The remarks drew objections from Democrats on the committee and from Wenstrup, who instructed Greene to refer to Fauci — who received a doctorate in medicine from Cornell University in 1966 before joining the National Institutes of Health — by his earned title. “The gentle lady should recognize the doctor as a doctor,” Wenstrup said. “I'm not addressing him as a doctor,” Greene replied. Later in the hearing, Rep. Jared Moskowitz, a Democrat from Florida, apologized to Fauci for Greene’s behavior. "I saw a member of this committee question whether you represent science," Moskowitz said. “I just want you to know most Americans don't think she represents Congress.”
  17. The 2 original founders got SO screwed. Pushed out of the company after years and years of building it up. They left with tens of millions of dollars worth of stock (yay!) only then to helplessly watched the guys that pushed them out totally run the company into the ground in a year's time; leaving the value of the stock virtually worthless (oh no!).
  18. yeah, real moral of him to object to his behavior now after silent for 3 years.
