  1. this suggests differently Sept 29, 2020 - 4th to the right https://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/northbrook/ct-nbr-northbrook-20200929-5pmxqdevrjbcdeob5brvkdzzc4-story.html
  2. and maybe a bigger impact than summer transfers.. https://www.hampshirelive.news/sport/football/football-news/joe-shields-manchester-city-southampton-7288169 Joe Shields sends Manchester City farewell message ahead of expected move to Southampton Joe Shields has moved one step closer to joining Southampton after posting a message about his exit from Manchester City. Shields is widely expected to join Saints as the club's new head of recruitment, having spent the past nine years with the current Premier League champions and playing a big part in their successful youth recruitment. He has developed a reputation as one of the best at identifying talented young players in European football, with City going on to enjoy sustained success at various levels in recent seasons during his time with the club.
  3. Good as time as any to start this up.. Saints summer transfer strategy appears to be buy young, unproven talent from the big boys, after last year's success with signing 18 y.o. Chelea's Tino Livramento. Spending for any individual player seems to be targeted to the £6m to £12m range. Saints appear to be methodically hitting their positional target needs, which are GK, CB, DCM, AM, and Striker In.. 20 y.o. Gavin Bazunu GK (Man City) £12.6m 18 y.o. Romeo Lavia DCM (Man City) £10.5m 20 y.o. Armel Bella-Kotchap CB (VfL Bochum) £9m getting close... 25 y.o. Joe Aribo AM (Rangers) £6m weird rumor of the day... 21 y.o. Neco Williams RB (Liverpool) £20m - this doesnt sound like Saints M.O. targets 24 y.o. Sasa Kalajdzic (Stuttgart) - would be a BIG pricetag.. £20m-ish 19 y.o. Liam Delap (Man City) 19 y.o. Levi Colwill (Hudderfield) OUT Fraser Forster to Spurs Shane Long to ?? may go.. Walcott, Redmond, Bednarek Djenepo Stephens
  4. the alien reveal in Mexico City was pretty fantastic moviemaking (Spielberg-esque).. but yeah.. his films leave me mostly flat.
  5. conjunction junction, what's your function?
  6. £50m?! so that is what a 10 goal a year striker from a 16th place team is going for these days?
  7. the absence of the usual shit flingers on the committee looking to deflect, distract, pontificate, and filibuster has been refreshing.
  8. Tin ear. who knew standing 1 ft in front of the Marshall stack in the 80s and 90s would do so much damage? oh, I knew.. I was just young and didn't care.
  9. mmmm, the abs on Bill Murray. 😋
  10. Damon nailed that North Oklahoma accent. His wardrobe was pretty spot on as well.
  11. in the attic. out of sight, out of mind. I ripped all of them to mp3s back when that was a thing (took forever) and are still on my 15 year old I-pod. The young kids in my office look at it in wonder. yes, i have all the files backed-up on an external drive.
  12. Don't forget the outrage upon reading on FoxNews a few weeks later this doesn't happen.
  13. yeah, isn't nice this guy wont be punished for his prayer? Do you think he will afford the same to his players who respectfully decline to participate in it? or would those players be looked at as not "team players"? Is it team building or a prayer? it can't be both right? It can't be required? a player cant be punished (lose playing time, not start, do extra laps) by not participating?
  14. Justice! i look forward to seeing this guy on the field next year!
  15. whaaa, no one likes my shitty takes.
  16. £39m!! Newcastle going to be competing for a Top 6 finish next year.
  17. The Onion nails it - every fucking time.
  18. Christ.. i hadn't even considered that. Not to mention a Senatorial advantage. We are are heading toward an America with 50% of it's populous living in 5 states leading to that populous only having 10% representation in the Senate.
