  1. I think there is 4 hours of debate before witness vote so prob not until later this afternoon.
  2. Hey guys, maybe Ted Cruz will do the right thing.
  3. Alexander and Collins to release statements tonight.
  4. Keep an eye out for drones.
  5. The 130 widening is overseen by Txdot so I don't know how that is going. CTRMA is just doing to the 3 elevated ramps connecting 290 and 130. CTRMA changed it's philosophy after the Mopac debacle to offer financial incentives for finishing early instead of penalties for being late. They learned that the contractor will just be late and let you sue them. They also changed the requirements for reporting from their contractors to make sure they are staying on schedule which is why 45 SW, 183 South and the 290/130 direct connectors have gone so well. TxDot is not going to offer the same incentives for finishing early unless it's a high profile project. Also, they can only widen 130 so much because the median is reserved for future high speed rail connecting Dallas,Ft. Worth, Hillsboro, Waco, Temple, Taylor, Austin, San Antonio with the Valley. Time from Dallas to San Antonio would be 2 hours. There is no funding for that but the ROW is there. The goal is for the high speed rail line to connect to regular diesel trains running up to Oklahoma City and down to Monterrey Mexico.
  6. The south section should be open by September. The last major pieces that they are currently all working on are the rebuild of the SB frontage bridge over the Colorado, overpass bridge by the strip club, and new mainlane bridge over Boggy Creek. The boggy creek bridge is what could possibly hold them up since they are still demolishing the old one. That being said, I don't think the work will be done on the 71 section until the end of the year because they have a lot of bridge work still to do. I know a lot of you guys aren't this Far East but if you do checkout 183 South I hope you realize that CTRMA has learned how to build highways after the mopac mess and Austin is in good hands if they are handling the project. I forgot to mention that one of the 290/130 ramps opened 6 months ahead of schedule.
  7. That's a bummer. Their last 2 projects, 45 SW and 183 South have gone really well.
  8. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.buzzfeednews.com/amphtml/briannasacks/kobe-bryant-helicopter-nearly-cleared-hill “The helicopter carrying Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and seven others was trying to ascend above a fog-shrouded hill when it slammed into the ravine and dropped 2,000 feet per minute to the ground below, federal investigators said Tuesday. Shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday, the Sikorsky S-76 chopper with nine people aboard climbed to about 2,300 feet seemingly in an attempt to clearthe thick cloud layer. It hit part of a ravine in the Calabasas and fell, crashing in an area on the hillside 1,085 feet above sea level, National Transportation Safety Board member Jennifer Homendy said. The helicopter plunged into a steep descent with a rate of "over 2,000 feet per minute," making it a "high-energy impact crash." "This is a pretty steep descent at high speed," Homendy said. "It wouldn't be a normal landing speed." The time from descent to impact was about a minute, she added. The helicopter was navigating a canyon with multiple hills and peaks, NTSB investigator Bill English noted, describing the area as a "ravine with undulating terrain." "The main impact was about 20 to 30 feet from that small hill, but there were other higher hills surrounding it…it’s in a canyon with small hills within it," he said.....”
  9. Just wait and see the flood damage it causes.
  10. I hope he goes after Feinstein's senate seat when she dies any second now.
  11. This just makes me want to vote for Joe Biden.
  12. It'll be worse when the senate starts investigating Biden and Burisma because Lindsay thinks it's the dem's turn to get investigated.
  13. One of many reasons we won't show up to a debate against the dem candidate.
  14. I think it'll just be Romney that votes for witnesses.
  15. NTSB investigators said the helicopter, which crashed into a hillside, also lacked a terrain avoidance warning system, something the transportation safety agency also has long recommended be standard. The pilot missed clearing the hill by 20 to 30 feet, investigators said Tuesday. In 2017, the FAA told the NTSB it was seeking to perform a cost-benefit analysis. But the agency said it was required to demonstrate to the White House budget office that the safety benefits of new regulations outweigh their costs and that it was unable “to justify a recorder mandate because the benefits of recorders are difficult to identify and quantify because the absence of a recorder will never cause an accident.” Last year, Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) joined the NTSB’s call after a helicopter crashed into a New York skyscraper, telling the Associated Press the FAA’s failure to act was a “serious concern.”
  16. anyone know how the question days will work?
  17. I didn’t say it would. Again, the only way to reduce congestion is to reduce the amount of single occupant cars.
  18. Thanks but we all know who the real hero is.
  19. It was on camera. That should be in DNC ads this summer.
  20. Why even pay the bill to keep that site up?
  21. Did someone forget to add Hilary?

Q&A * What is flight following? radar assistance for the flight. * Debris field about 500-600 ft. Fuselage, main rotor, tail in separate places * No black box, no CVR, no FDR. (not required) * Only an ipad for flight planning. * Impact crater is 1085 ft above sea level
