  1. That restaurant is walking distance from the train station in Borgo Panigale. Just check opening hours. Haven't been in a few years but Da Cesari in Bologna is good. We had friends who were based in Bologna and took the train out to Rimini. If you go there, I can bury you with recommendations.
  2. Good call. Iseo is great. We spent a week based in Sarnico and then putzed around that area. It was a few years ago but I'm sure the basics are still the same... Monte Isola, Franciacorta, drives deeper into the mountains to Ponte di Legno. Let me know if you need any ideas near Bologna. Depending on how long you are there, you can take side trips to Dozza, Imola, Ferrara, etc. May be host as balls. If you're by the airport/Borgo Panigale on your last night, this is recommended... https://g.co/kgs/M5UVPGs Doesn't look like much but, trust me, it doesn't matter
  3. ...and sometimes you'll try to pay the check and wonder if anyone is still there
  4. Man, one of my friends is running all over Italy right now and he is telling me all about how much he is paying for stuff... food, wine... as well as food quality. I'm pretty surprised by what I'm hearing. Like, where the f*** are y'all going? Y'all - please. I know you want to visit the monument or the city that everyone else has visited... "everyone has been to X so I need to go to X, too!" Expand your horizons... fewer people, better food, better experiences, better prices. Yes, I speak Italian and feel comfortable hopping just about anywhere in Italy (no, I'm not driving in Napoli) but I swear, Italians are nice... especially when you are not one of thousands of Americans flooding their streets. Like this sucks, y'all... (and mind you, I love Rome... my mom, aunts, uncles, cousins, brother... from Rome... I'm the smart one born in Bologna). Not worth it.
  5. ...and honestly, compared to last year? Easy. Beats last year
  6. I personally think Creepy or even Cringe (for the youts) would be good. That commercial someone posted earlier (the Congressman in the bedroom) was perfect. Run more of those. Seriously... those are perfect.
  7. LOL... they were both awesome. Barns felt a little more organic.
  8. A Latina call was held last week... there's been a series of these grassroots calls taking place to fundraise, organize volunteering and raise support. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/kamala-harris-grassroots-organizers-raise-millions-online-campaign-first-week/
  9. "He's going to talk about Hannibal Lecter and other weird shark shit or whatever" Line of the year
  10. White Dudes for Harris update... "50,000 of you have RSVP’d for tomorrow’s kickoff call and we wanted to take a moment to address this milestone with a bit of emotional honesty. When we started organizing on Friday, we could never have dreamed that so many of us would come together the way we have. We are a bit shocked. But also…grateful. We are grateful to be in this with you, and grateful to be starting something really special with you. Ninety nine days from now we have an opportunity to help Kamala Harris make some history, we also have the opportunity to change some minds, to have some tough but fair conversations, to meet other white dudes where they are and to address some things that, well frankly, just haven’t been addressed. We’re in this together, and a lot of people are taking notice. That’s why Governor Roy Cooper of North Carolina, Congressman Adam Schiff, Actor Misha Collins, Actor/Singer Josh Groban and Author Scott Galloway are joining our call tomorrow. They will be joining a lineup of other incredible folks like Pete Buttigeig, Ben Wikler, Josh Gad, Michael Kelly, Rory O’Malley, George Goehl and others."
  11. Good time to bring back up The Dead Milkmen and "Tiny Town" Hello, my name is Billy Bob and I don't give a damn I got myself some white sheets straight from the Ku Klux Klan I got myself a daughter and she's a Mongoloid Because I married my sister and our gene pool's been destroyed Let's do it This is a tiny town And we don't want you comin' round This is a tiny town And we don't want you comin' round We got ourself a sheriff and his name's Bobby Joe One day he said to me, "Them punk rockers gotta go" So we hopped into his pickup truck with a gun rack on the back And we beat up on them punks and we beat up on them blacks Because This is a tiny town And we don't want you comin' round This is a tiny town And we don't want you comin' round So if you should happen to come to our little town It might be wise if you didn't hang around 'Cause we hate blacks and we hate Jews And we hate punks but we love the F.U.s Let's do it This is a tiny town And we don't want you comin' round This is a tiny town And we don't want you comin' round
  12. It can be a tad bit distracting
  13. I don't know man. I didn't see you out there. I think you're lying
  14. I've said it before and I was reminded again this morning... Daniel at the Texas Rowing Dock (not to mention we have places like the Texas Rowing Dock) is a great example of why Austin kicks ass
  15. "The past decade has been really bad for the health of the church and caused incredible damage to any sense of its moral standing. It’s hard to preach the Gospel when “Christian” rightly becomes synonymous with wickedness." #Truth The evangelical church has destroyed it's witness. It has pushed away members and many who would be part of their community. They made their bed and are happy lying in it
  16. Likewise. Now bolverk, if you look at the soil around any large US city with a big underground homosexual population, des Moines Iowa, for example. Look at the soil around Des Moines, bolverk, you can't build on it, you can't grow anything in it, the government says it's due to poor farming, but I know what's really going on, bolverk ! I know it's the queers! They're in it with the aliens! They're building landing strips for gay Martians, I swear to God! You know what, bolverk? I like you You're not like the other people, here in the trailer park
  17. My neighbors wouldn't let their kids watch Saturday Night Live because they made fun of the Pope
  18. Completely agree. Our coverage sucks. Always has. Just like watching F1 and having them cut over for commercials.
