  1. On a related note... https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=62864
  2. To be fair, the companies that service the majors... companies like Schlumberger, Halliburton, NOV, Baker Hughes are all expanding their efforts on hydrogen and other renewables like wind, solar, etc. Same goes for Saudi Arabian companies... https://www.reuters.com/business/sustainable-business/saudis-alfanar-build-35-bln-green-hydrogen-project-egypt-2022-08-29/
  3. To be fair, Ron Johnson was married in 1977 which was the 40th anniversary of the The Great Purge in Soviet Russia. Coincidence???
  4. He's almost pushing her to do that
  5. Seriously, I love that this guy is the Texas aggy AD. It is so fitting. He hated UT when he was at Nebraska and always whined about us when he was with ESPN. He and Mark May were an absolute beating.
  6. Right? And why is Houston so high since they have so much water (but maybe because it is all polluted)
  7. bUt thEy deFunDIng ThuH PoLIcE!!?! Sorry... had to point it out because idiots keep repeating this completely inaccurate line AUSTIN, Texas — Wednesday afternoon, Austin City Council heard public comments about the proposed $5.9 billion city budget. Earlier, members looked closer at what is in the budget – including the Austin police budget proposal, set at $496 million, an increase of about $18 million. This comes as the city narrows its search for a new permanent police chief.
  8. ITs hot as balls... more skiing vibes before the season starts...

  11. Quoting because it's perfect
  12. Not sure but 95% of those using the voucher system were not using the public school system before. Shocking... https://arktimes.com/arkansas-blog/2023/10/11/arkansas-learns-report-95-of-voucher-students-did-not-attend-public-school-last-year
  13. Everyone talks about the top restaurants in Italy... Michelin stars... yadda yadda. Visit countryside trattorie and osterie... the places were local workers go enjoy the daily menu. That's the food you want to enjoy in Emilia Romagna. Some will argue with me... that's 99.9% what we do in Italy. A few randoms... Within shouting distance of Imola... https://en.aziendalacasetta.it/ristorante https://relaismevigo.it/en/restaurant/ Also, go to Dozza to visit the regional enoteca and walk around the town Bar in Imola - https://www.instagram.com/bar_ai_giardini_imola/ If you're passing Santa Croce Near Santa Croce - https://trattoriasantacroce.it/ Outside Bologna... https://www.tasteatlas.com/osteriadalnonno
  14. Cool footage of Mt Hood. Trying to figure out if there's any way I can pull off a business trip/ski day there. Clearly not the same itinerary as this but something like Meadows or Snow Bowl...
  15. I used to see the occaional girl walking around the UT campus wearing a Chicana short or something about being a Chicana. That's the first time I really heard of the term, from what I remember. Also did a quick Google search and found this... https://www.preservationaustin.org/news/the-austin-chicano-huelga-making-east-austin-historic (way before my time)
  16. I'm sure they've tried calling me. I'm sure I haven't picked up that "Telemarketing" or "Spam suspected" call either. What an odd flex but not surprising
  17. Yeah, Front 242 going to be stuck in my head all day
  18. I swear man, Tesla fanbois...
  19. Poking around some of the guided freeriding options for our trip. Came across this which "seems" like it is based on staying in the Serre Chevalier area and then using that as the base since all the listed locations are within one hour of Briancon. Really solid pricing for guiding in some really epic locations. I will probably do a single guide for a couple of days rather than a group since you never know about varying levels. Even half a day freeriding within the immediate area with a private guide is only 193 Euros. Typically and what we found at Les Grands Montets is they don't count transportation time as part of your booked time. https://www.esi-generation.com/en/freeridesessions.php
  20. But slap tears and rabdo are so cool, bruh
  21. Beat me to it. We go to Barton Springs relatively regularly and we see lifeguards rescue people on a pretty frequent basis. That looks like a really, really hard job.
  22. Good year-round strength training makes such a difference when it comes to injury prevention, performance on the mountain, and recovery. Sounds like you'll be in a good place. I'm kind of the same way in that skiing other than something like hiking is where my biggest passion lies when it comes to physical activity. Sometimes I see people playing soccer at the nearby park and I think about going and playing with them. But then I'm like, "nah. I don't want to screw things up with my knee for ski season."
