  1. Oh noooooo he's so popular now!? Just stay on message and stop being whiners and the orange one loses again ...and 538's current electoral update There's time
  2. 1. survive attempt 2. pick a sneaker style 3. slap a logo on it 4. ???? 5. profit
  3. What sucks is that even if you hire a trimmer, it doesn't mean anything if the others don't trim. CP needs to get on it. I know that stretch of Woodway well. Unfortunately, what will happen is people along the way will fight back and not want their trees trimmed. Happened in Austin. Will be the usual mess which is partially on CP and partially on owners. Good luck.
  4. Our neighbors in Austin have a house in Port A. After Harvey, they went down and saw that the house looked relatively unscathed until they realized that the water had been forced through the siding and gotten inside. Water finds a way.
  5. Straight up? Cold hearted.
  6. Took my wife to a concert last week. It was... It was... The New Kids on the Block I'll be honest, it was not bad. I mean, it was entertaining... well put together show. To be honest, the worst part was that it was at COTA and our parking situation sucked. "I told her, three song left... we're out of here." Show was 95-98% women so bathroom lines were fantastic. DJ Jazzy Jeff and Paul Abdul opened. So, I will get an audio cleanse this weekend at all the free shows on Red River at Hot Summer Nights. Struts show coming up in two weeks. Don't be jealous...
  7. "fentanyl-laced water"
  8. Had a chance to visit Bariloche several years ago - beautiful but unfortunately we were there in May so weather was not ideal but, still, would love to go back in either summer or winter.
  9. So on new transplants, should you pluck any flowers or just see what happens and if they start setting fruit?
  10. But anyway, I need to hit up a few places before they jack up their prices.
  11. This thread has become so much hand-wringing... going to take a break
  12. WTF is Beshear... like I tend to pay attention to politics and have never heard that name. So you think those who don't pay attention will know that name?
  13. Kind of my point. Anyone can pull a poll out of their ass. What we've seen consistently in the past couple of years is polls tend to be wrong. And, while we're not in a great place right now, there are 3 1/2 months to go. Trump or JD can go on some crazy lunatic binge from now until the election that may impact voting, turnout, etc. And, again, if you think Trump is going to question the legitimacy of a Biden win (which he will question it), wait until someone like Harris or Newsom or whatever wins. Not saying they are winning - saying what would happen. It will be Trumpy to 11. Why not make Trump louder at 10? Because he goes to 11. Hillary Clinton has vaulted to a double-digit advantage in the inaugural ABC News 2016 election tracking poll, boosted by broad disapproval of Donald Trump on two controversial issues: His treatment of women and his reluctance to endorse the election’s legitimacy. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/clinton-vaults-double-digit-lead-boosted-broad-disapproval/story?id=42993821
  14. That was a great afternoon... We went to a winery outside of Castel Bolognese on two different occasions... we'd been there twice in 2022. The food... so good!? Great local wine, price reasonable... very chill. Seriously... I have great memories of our trips but sometimes the slow meals are the best ones.
  15. OK... I guess I was just trying to sort through where he would post something like that.
  16. I was just referring to that particular post
  17. Was that on his Twitter or IG?
  18. I mean, really? Cosplaying the SS???
  19. So 25% undecided... allegedly... seems like worthless data.
  20. I don't even think of 6th for music... to me it is Red River. Hope they won't screw it up but, that said, the scene will move and evolve. The east side scene is growing. It will shift. For now, I love Red River... go support live music this weekend.
  21. I didn't take many pictures of this specific meal but I wanted to share with you that not going to the touristy places yields big dividends... (this was what they brought us at the end... we bought the tiramisu' but the rest in the picture was complimentary) Anyway, we went to an agriturismo in the countryside for a Sunday afternoon lunch... maybe 20 minutes from our apartment. In 8 we ordered... 1 Tagliere (meat plate) 8 primi (pasta) 2 secondi (mixed grilled meats) 2 contorni (sides) 5 liter bottles of water 1 1/2 liters of local wine 1 dessert 4 coffees 4 soft drinks 8 coperti (the cover charge you see at Italian restaurants - totally standard) 177 Euro total. TOTAL! Talked to one of the owners while there and she was excited we were visiting from Texas. She left and came back and gave us some of their peach preserves as a gift to bring home. This was the view from the parking lot...
  22. Three nights of free music along Red River. Went last year - some hits and misses but lots of good bands mixed in. All free. https://redriverculturaldistrict.org/hot-summer-nights/ Depends of what you like... mix of rock, dark wave, metal, rap, everything... Ben Buck is great... (son of Mike Buck), The Past Lives is amazing live, Don't Say Lemon has a great Joy Division/Manchester sound, Chancla Fight Club is good (plus wins the band name contest), Club Coma should be good... trying to come up with a list of bands to see Friday night with a friend... Ghost Wolves, Figure Factor, Glass Mansions, Subpar Snatch, etc Obligatory...
  23. Speaking of dipshits, today I saw my friend's sister posting some QAnon crap about the sniper being told by SS not to take the shot. Her comment was "thank God he disobeyed orders". WTF. People are idiots although we already know this. https://apnews.com/article/fact-check-trump-shooting-secret-service-334166850448
  24. Hey, who's going to Hot Summer Nights this weekend?
