  1. Except literally no rain in Austin since the Leon Fuller coached at UT
  2. Honestly, not too hard to go to Italy and find remnants like this that were "removed" but you can still read them some 80 years later. (took this picture in a small town in Maremma). Also not too hard to find Italians who are totes cool with this, too. I know a few. Credere Obbedire Combattere Believe Obey Fight
  3. We already know they are spending a lot of time in the battleground states... I don't see any concern with her hitting shows, podcasts, interviews... siphon off as many votes a possible. Make it an ugly overwhelming win, one vote at a time. Make his numbers drop nationwide across all states. It is the only way. Make the GQP realize that he is a drag on their shambles of a sycophantic party.
  4. Are you a woman? Because if not, maybe you're not the target audience and that's why you haven't heard it.
  5. They're awesome. They'll be playing Levitation this year. And, yeah, she's got "it"
  6. Could've run a special on Royal Crown and Moon Pies
  7. First Spoon plays then Texas beats Georgia? This is giving me Hot thoughts in my mind, all of the time!
  8. Of all the people on Fox News, Bret Baier is not bad. He has moments of sanity.
  9. ...she knows how to do Austin
  10. Swung by Stiles Switch in Belterra last night for the first time. These ribs... they are fantastic. Love the peppery rub
  11. Hook it up to my veins
  12. An hour ago... BALTHVS at Waterloo PXL_20241011_221152376.mp4
  13. Got a wristband for more tomfoolery tomorrow. May need to work in The Beaches this time and some other bands I missed. Maybe maybe will go Sunday. We'll see. Dust is going to be killer.
  14. It's just not much parking honestly. About 15 spots per block.
  15. I wonder if it might attract something cool... I think that's the point. I could see it turning into another entertainment district. Lincoln Road in Miami Beach pre-1960... "If you visit Lincoln Road in Miami Beach today, it’s a street lined with shops, restaurants, and art. We didn’t get a chance to walk its entirety, but we did break to have lunch and admire the surroundings. Being there, you could tell that at one point in time, it was a centerpiece for the city. It’s closed to cars and trucks now, but that wasn’t the case when it was originally built. Today, it’s one of the most well-known pedestrian outdoor malls in the country and is even used as a model by other developers looking to replicate the success. "
  16. I kind of love the idea and it makes me think of Lincoln Avenue in Miami Beach or Calle Floridita in Buenos Aires which are thriving with people... a lot you could do with those areas including making it more friendly to live music. I'm down. As for the parking spots, how many spots would you lose? If Google Street view is correct, it looks like you lose... - 15 spots between 7th and 8th - 6 parking spots between 8th and 9th - 13-15 parking spots between 9th and 10th (hard to tell with construction) - 18ish between 10th and 11th Not a massive amount
  17. Bruh... he's totally reliable...
  18. Yeah, tell me about it. I got on a call with a customer and then saw a notification about a red card and a goal. WTF. No clue what happened...
  19. Been very pleasantly surprised by Italy's gradual improvement under Spalletti. Had France easily handled. 24' and we're up 2-0 on Belgium. I'm still shell-shocked from our post-Euro collapse and the WC misses but its progress.
  20. Friend in Naples confirmed that while he is without power, they are mostly fine. No update on friend in Bradenton. Need to check on someone who lives on Marco Island. He took it on the chin after Ian - hope he's OK.
  21. Yup... and I lived in Houston during Harvey, Memorial Day Floods, assorted deluges... what they got is a ton of rain. I had a chance to witness 5" of rain in one hour first hand which apparently happened in some spots in FL during this storm. No drains can handle it. Water rises immediately. Friends had cars and houses flooded in that quick burst of rain. I was standing outside literally yelling "JUST STOP!" Stop being a-holes. Just because someone's house burned down to the foundation doesn't mean they're cooler than the house that burned down but has a chimney left standing. Idiots.
  22. So funny. We were cracking up at that guy. Must have been high as a kite.
