  1. My favorite part is that I've had a couple different buddies, over the years, who know the story, have drinks with different Aggies who still claim they absolutely know the aTm boosters behind the billboard. I laugh every time, but it's not hard to believe considering that GameDay whatever weekend they visited college station that year had kids with Aggie Nation big billboard signs. Strangely, he did not. I guess they didn't think they would get far asking for a signature sending for a Post Office box. I did hear the recipient got those letters every month for like year, though, well after the billboard went down because it was just a month lease. Weird.
  2. It’s still pretty snarky. Tremendous stuff. I think everyone understands what you’re attempting to say, but it is weird that you’d not characterize underwear and socks as “necessities” or “massive needs.”
  3. How the fuck can someone think any information he gets from here is legit?
  4. I did everyone a favor and followed the www.BeyondTexas.com URL that is displayed on that London bus advertisement. And everyone here should be glad I did, because it redirects to the least surprising and yet most aggy thing possible: https://www.tamu.edu/beyondtexas/index.html I'll save you the trouble of actually clicking: Much like mocking Tech for their billboard, I'm sure any Brit will head to this link and think "I know exactly who/what Reveille is" right after they see the giant "PAGE NOT FOUND" message. Advertising dollars well spent, right there. Meanwhile, this is how marketing genius gets shit done.
  5. Listen, Rex Grossman stole The Sex Cannon right out from under me.
  6. We should all take our our cues from someone who posts on Reddit as "TheEnviedPenis." Because folks carrying the goods always feel the need to shout it unprompted from the rooftops of the internet.
  7. It's not just Stroh's body they have to step over. It's also the center and left tackle after his falling tree trunk of a body take out the entire left side of our line. Real impediment to the DL there.
  8. I'm not sure why you're including me in here, sir, other than the fact we've met. I didn't do shit this morning except get called a meanie in a drive by shot by a poster with terrible football takes and a penchant to lash out at people like they've got a persecution complex or something. And before you say anything, yes, I know who that poster is as well.
  9. Harris is confident he's getting everyone he's targeting. That's pretty inside. If you're a WR testing the market, I would think it's pretty stupid to remove yourself from the market when Texas has money to spend at the position. Yes, if there's one thing for sure, I feel like no one here ever criticizes seven win steven.
  10. It's amazing how stupid some of you motherfuckers are being, including some generally good posters, whining about the fucking "all-in" bullshit. Since this is something that isn't perfectly obvious to all of you (I assume) grown adults, I'll spell it out for you. It doesn't take a fucking navigator the level of Magellan to realize that at some point after we got left out of the playoffs, Bobby and company spoke to staff members who said "We're all in on winning a title in 2026." Great soundbite, so Bobby and company used it. Letting PK go, while giving him his payout as a thanks out the door, and bringing in Will Muschamp to run the defense? Guess what got recycled? "This is just another sign that the staff is all in on Arch and 2026." Pretty normal shit. 995ers talk to sources and ask how we're going to approach the portal? "We going to be aggressive, we're going to be very aggressive." Now, hardly a stretch for a normal person who covers a sport to go with "Again, the Texas staff is going to go all-in the portal to build the best team." Does this mean that Texas is going to get everyone? No. Does it mean that Texas's own coaching staff and support staff aren't capable of being wrong, or royally fucking things up? No. Can they misjudge the market? You bet your ass. Does it mean other schools can't retain their star players? Nope, not at all. Does it mean Texas, over the past many years, hasn't reached agreements with players and then have them not enter the portal? Nope. That's all on the table. But the fact that the people who have fucking latched onto the "Going All In" turn of phrase like a fucking dog with a bone as somehow illustrative of the 995ers failing at their jobs, or being idiots, or as any kind of mockery of them is fucking bizarre to me. They're basically repeating what coaches and sources told them, and honestly, I fully believe the staff thinks they ARE all in on 2026, and have every intention of doing their best. Now, whether they fuck it all up and fail, that's the question. But folks here should address their mockery and derision towards the football staff after the portal closes, not the 995ers (except the obvious buffoons and grifters). And I'll stress "after the portal closes" because we've seen a half dozen meltdowns at least in the last 3-4 years about high school and portal recruiting, hell, even the hiring of Sark's first DC, where shit was quiet and shitty for weeks/months and then lo and behold multiple rabbits get pulled out of hats, and we get PK, and we sign a half dozen portal DT's, and we close on Colin Simmons and Tyler Atkinson and Kade Phillips at the 11th hour.
  11. It's like 85-90%, so lets just simplify things, IMO.
  12. and Hugh Freeze still had cred for being a good coach, just an amoral one, at the time.
  13. I see other schools 995ers are now throwing out the Texas make their collectives feel good, to go along with players using the Texas name to drive up prices and sound important. This is the first time I've heard this guy's name from anyone. Of course, he's not in the portal and still in the playoffs, so maybe that's it...
