  1. We just got back from a long ass weekend. I'll let @closetojumping give his own thoughts, but in general...meh. The food, was fucking fantastic, as always. Piero's still has it's fastball, although who knows how long that will last. Dan's in the Fontainebleau was fucking exceptional. And the Casino was nice, I'd consider staying there over the Aria, because it's new and nice and you take a ride everywhere you're going anyway. The Aria...it's fine, but it needs a fucking facelift. The plates around the window buttons and lights literally fell off and was unattached. The sports book needs new, fully digital TV screens. It's clean, and all, but it's dated. One of the higher end casino's should never look dated for long, imo. Wizard of Oz at the Sphere was expensive, but worth the price of admission. Real cool. Other than that, our group might be done with Vegas. We'll see. When I got in, I ordered a double jack and diet coke, a double makers, and a red bull, from the bar by the Aria sports book. 92 dollars, before gratuity. The service by the hostess at the Aria book where we paid for seats, was shitty and inconsistent with the information we got from our concierge host. Just expensive and stale and inept from a city and hotel that are supposed to be built on hospitality, there certainly didn't seem to be a lot of fucking hospitality. Everyone else's complaints about vegas Ive read here and elsewhere seem pretty accurate. EDIT: Also, everyone should be sure to ask CloseToJumping on his experience with a cab driver who gaslit the fuck out of him.
  2. Welp. See you guys next season.
  3. Look like a walking penis and suck every one you come into contact with until you’ve got the job you wanted?
  4. Not specifically, but it’s heart and soul Spencer Hall is a Florida guy, so it had a ton of that flavor.
  5. That is sooooo much better. And at least is the first or last portion of his name. No one is lining up to calm Sarkisian by “kisi”
  6. Ok, it took me about 10 seconds to figure out Duzz was Narduzzi. Stop that shit.
  7. Or, like The Joker, are you just ahead of the curve?
  8. I'm questioning whether you know the difference between "schematic advantage" and just "advantage."
  9. It was a great spot for watching sports. We used to go there for games all the time. Sadly, it was never more than half full, hardly ever. I think they just got too big a spot for that part of town. I dunno. We were sad when it closed.
  10. For fuck's sake, Park. Don't threaten this board with a good time.
  11. This is irritating. If we're dealing with multiple weather delays while trying to enjoy this game in a Las Vegas sports book, we'll likely lose the game coverage and never get it back on a TV once it's gone. I like the under. And I *think* I also like Texas to cover the spread.
  12. I mean, I just want to understand the thinking. Derka probably would have whipped you up some Derka Dogs.
  13. I'm going to ignore the obvious joke that y'all have correctly highlighted, and instead I'm going to go with the gem bolded above.
  14. This entire line of argument came from some people insisting that an entire state be categorized as "deep south", simply because "parts" of it were "deep south." I reject that notion, out of hand, regardless of whether there are parts of it. Do you disagree or agree with the premise that having a small segment of a state which culturally, economically, or however you want to designate it that aligns accurately with "the deep south" means the entire state qualifies as the "deep south?"
  15. Does that make Texas the deep south?
  16. I'd posit that aggie fans are the softest, most charmin like snowflakes in all the land. I can make a case there is nothing hard 'bout those 'tards.
  17. So this knob is going to donate a bunch of money to someone, bribe, whatever, to basically leverage the AAU to admit Tech. Because I've got to say, there's no way Tech is actually fixing their academics enough to qualify.
  18. Mississippi has to be in the bottom 5 for median income, and Lane and company have managed to put together an NIL program that creatively allows them to be very good at the portal and a few blue chips every year. It's possible... As another poster said, it would take one grandkid from one branch of one family. Alice Walton is the richest woman in the world in 2025. She also has 3 brothers who were all Sam Walton's direct offspring. She doesn't have any kids, but her 3 brothers have 8 between them.
  19. Your work there definitely fits into what I assume is the definition of a Hard Retard, Red.
  20. I feel like we can't go any further down this path until he gives us a firm definition of "hard retard."
  21. This sentence could really benefit from a comma. Who do you think has the hardest retarded fanbase in the SEC?
  22. You wanted to try something new, and your first thought was "lets give this place that looks like a pluckers a shot?" You know what I really fucking miss? SRO.
  23. Isn't this a reversal of sorts? I thought the dad wasn't pushing Texas and was only pushing his kid to maximize the NIL deal out of HS? Did the motherfucker see Jesus in the form of hey, pissing off a bunch of Texas people in Texas might have some adverse effects on my career?
