  1. If true, it's going to become apparent sooner rather than later. The real question to ask might be, even if it's true, if NC has built the proper kind of infrastructure to immediately handle that kind of thing.
  2. So, I mean, why don't ya' read?
  3. LSU 3, ATM 5, and Michigan 6. Oklahoma at 10. GTFO
  4. I know that whenever I hear someone go out of their way to tell me just how straight they are, they're absolutely, never ever overcompensating or trying to misdirect people. That being said, I've never seen someone follow up in the next sentence by "offering to do more than just give out handjobs." The ole' "I'm straighter than the equator, but I could suck the chrome off a trailer hitch and spit it back on as a disco ball" dynamic, eh? If you want to throw in some mouth work or even spread your cheeks for some truly talented roster beef, no one here is going to stop you. We're going to fucking cheer you on, man. You're the absolutely-no-joke-super-straight-handjob-hero we need right now. God bless.
  5. This feels like revisionist history. I don't remember any of those guys being flagged as "big risks" whatsoever when they came out. Some folks weren't as high on Ross becuase of concerns, but "big risk" seems like a stretch. Everyone assumed a kid on a college S&C and nutrition program would be able to gain 20-25 pounds on a college nutrition and S&C program. Instead the fucking guy came in and lost 10. I feel like that's a pretty rare occurrence. Mitchell was coveted by everyone at the time, including GA, and he was a big win. Yes, he was a big body, but everyone was high on that guy, and he still has great qualities. His problem is his head. I don't remember ANY large segment of guys saying he was a Finch from wildcats style fatbody who would never amount to anything. This shit is what's happening in retrospect. I don't really remember any of Bryant's recruitment either way. Odd that no one is mentioning Jaray Beldooe here, who basically enrolled academically by the skin of his teeth, and succesfully doing that was a shock to many. People threw around terms like "learning disability" at the time, yet we never hear that mentioned as part of his bust factor.
  6. I think there's a non zero chance that some cleaning might come on it's own. Nothing insider here. I don't see Arch's boy leaving, but Spencer Shannon could be a casualty.
  7. So just postulating here... But if Texas signs a pretty good DL haul from the portal, it pretty much has to be taken as fact that it's because Helobious really fucking knows his way around other men's shafts, right? Like a once in a generation dong director kind of skillset. A real boss of the hog. A succesful portal outcome makes this fait accompli. Or his skillset makes a succesful portal outcome fait accompli, however you guys like to view it.
  8. So you're saying I should feel good about this investment?
  9. Yes. Who on here would have imagined you’d go for bland, white female pop stars? It’s a stereotype no one would have imagined and your protestations are now in no way etching it into permanence. Let’s get this thread back on track, Tex:
  10. Sometimes a simple infinitive makes all the difference.
  11. Yeah I lol’d at that. Just pure, weaponized ignorance.
  12. As amazing as this is, Jesus these people are our neighbors. That’s terrifying. That guy just made up shit from whole cloth, and the rest of his bullshit is just his own bad opinions parading as fact. And calling them “opinions” is a pretty big stretch to the legitimacy of the word. Sark isn’t a program builder because he never won 8 games before he got here guys. Don’t tell them about Nick Saban at Michigan State.
  13. I’m now of the belief that Hayes Fawcett is the Mr Hyde to Texifornia’s Dr. Jekyl. They’re the same person. Hayes appears after Tex consumes a Mt. Dew Code Red. Tex returns when he hears a snippet of Sabrina Carpenter. First, this explains a lot. Second, it sounds like you’re the one trying to solve a problem here. Which, cool. But I don’t think this group would stop at a finger for a finger. “Asian woman mauled by pack of cargo-short wearing social misfits” is a hell of a headline.
  14. Coin Operated businesses, or a Self-Serve Car Wash are popular real-estate investments, particularly for people betting on the appreciation of the real-estate. I've seen some of those for sale over the years, and bring in like 20-30k a year. Or lots used for paid public parking. It wouldn't be surly is someone didn't mention an Eskimo Hutt franchise.
  15. "stealing players from the teams that beat us is a guaranteed way to improve in the SEC" - A&M fan, absolutely.
  16. Fortuntely for you, you have such a tremendous track record of being right. Does this disease manifest in selective memory?
  17. Yeah, like that Auburn board. That's legit. If you were Quinn Ewers, would you transfer to somplace with shittier complementary talent than Texas to try and rehab your regressing career, when you're already a millionaire, or would you just get drafted and work on your craft professionally? I mean, it's an obvious answer to me but apparently not to lots of folks on the internet.
  18. Hindsight is 20/20. We all understand that, including Ewers, which is probably why he's willing to leave for a mid grade as opposed to testing transfer portal waters or risk Sark saying "This spring is an open competition for the starter spot." It's quite possible he's learned his lesson and figures going pro and being a full time QB with full time support is probably the best thing he can do for his career long-term.
  19. I would've thought having a GM would have further triggered you about the...and let me see if I can get your tone just right...the current state of <sniffle> today's college football </sniffle>.
  20. Which is weird, becuase I don't want either of them.
  21. We seem to have quite a few of those around here. It makes me shudder to think how many must be lurking on Texags and SEC Rant and Tigerdroppings. Oh wait, I was recently told that all alumni networks, and thus all alumni, are created equal. I think most people who run, or are invovled in running small businesses, laugh at the idea that we'd want to hire the most competent people for the job we can find, as opposed to filling an empty seet to be able to give a former athlete attaboys. I sure as hell don't see former players who run their own businesses hiring anyone other than the people they think can help them make money. Weird.
  22. Good thing we have South Austin's mom.
  23. Since this is an internet message board, sewing someone's mouth shut is functaionally worthless. Think you can sew together all the fingers of some posters, though?
  24. The fact that you don't think advertising and public relations are massive fucking businesses, much the Film and Television industry, and don't churn of billions and tons of cash for hundreds of thousands of people, if not more, every single year, and consider the "outliers" says pretty much everything we need to know about your ignorance. Guys, only degrees from Harvard matter for anonymous people. Everyone and your kids just pack it up and go home. Guess we missed the memo. Which is weird, I got my first job, which set me down my current path (which is not bad) by applying for a job on the UT job board with my measly communication degree. Almost like the quality of an alumni network matters because of the quality of the alumni.
