  1. Well I'll try not to have a catastrophic medical emergency in the next 4 weeks, you know, as long as I'm working on things I can control.
  2. I think you've got it backwards, dude. Now that he doesn't have to recruit young black kids from a demographic that mostly hates his fucking politics, he can tee off and be himself. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2805759-oklahoma-st-hc-mike-gundy-blames-liberalism-and-snowflakes-over-transfers Gundy calls the transfer portal "liberalism." Well, then you haven't followed recruiting. Because his politics are out there. Also, don't look too closely into the politics of Bruce Pearl (your next senator of Alabama).
  3. Park Gothic and Codaxx catching strays snipes in the latest CTJ post. And then 6th Street obliviously showing up to pile on unironically, like a sad, lispy kid alone at the lunch table with a glimmer of hope as a new kid sits down next to him. He's no longer alone. I look forward to that hope evaporating as he realizes the new kid is just there to give him yet another public wedgie.
  4. And you trust this line to execute those schemes? Well ok.
  5. Well, I don't know what to tell you other than I watched all the games last year, multiple times. Broughton and Collins may have been late bloomers, but they showed the fuck up all year with TFL after TFL in the biggest moments. I don't care where they were drafted, the fact that either of them were drafted, particularly Broughton, was a testament to how good they were last year as opposed to their previous seasons. We were all melting down before the season, and by OU weekend no one was sweating shit on the IDL. Maybe this year is the same, but I'm not sure. Sure, Brevard has looked fucking great in spots, Shaw seems fine so far, but it's early. Watson came on last week, to me, but seemed slow to get there. Kanu is steady eddie, but dude hasn't been making wow plays all over the place to my eyes. Kanu leads the team in snaps at IDL, but statistically they're all pretty similar at this point. Listen, I like the depth we've added, and they seem great, but it's Ohio State and three deflated testicle sacks for opponents. Get back to me in 3 weeks. I'm pretty sure that Bobby or Gerry or someone at OTF said that while Arch showed up at various greek houses last season, he's been all business this season.
  6. Lol. OU is going to beat Kent State by 40 points, and Venables will play Mateer late into the 4th quarter. They're a bunch of front-running shitbirds.
  7. I expect OU to do what they always try to do, sell out to stuff the box and pressure manning. I don't have much faith we're going to line up and run it on them, even if our OL magically gel's in the next 2.5 weeks. Venables will lean into his team strength, because it also is his best bet at diverting attention from his weak secondary. He's going to force Arch to beat him with his arm, which, lets be honest if we were a DC is exactly what we'd be doing right now as well. Plus we all know they'll get up, it's a rivalry game. I think the Auburn and Michigan games are fools gold, like most people here, but at the same time they'll be confident. We'll need Arch to make the reads and throws that will be available, or it could be a real long fucking day. I'm also not yet sold that our IDL is "so much better" than it was last year. We were pretty fucking good last year, and lots of our opponents so far have sucked. It's obvious Simmons hasn't settled down yet, and I'm not sure Burke doesn't have some warts on the other side as well. I expect the OU game to be more of a frustrating pain in the ass than it fucking should be, but here we are...
  8. I dunno man, you're a good poster, but so is Fondren & Main and I tend to lean towards his line of thinking. Can anyone know anything definitively? No. But I watch a LOT of college football games that aren't just Texas, and everyone has quite a few warts. I don't think I can remember a reason where all the top end teams have looked so weak and beatable. This feels like the most wide open season I can remember, and it's going to be whoever gets hot and gets their shit together by the latter third of the season.
  9. Bruh, you're forgetting that bad-ass skate and bike park that you can see from 45. It's not that I'm optimistic. It just seems like a pattern to me. I lived in Shady Acres at the end of the crime era around 2008-2012. It was not that fucking charming, and the homes were shitholes, and honestly, they've mostly been replaced by relatively soulless townhomes. Greenspoint has older homes that can be fixed up fine, not too differently than Spring Branch, and it's 20 minutes from downtown, much closer than the Woodlands and Katy. The schools do suck balls, though, no way around that. It's also close to the airport for frequent travelers, but not RIGHT next to the airport. I feel like there's opportunity there. Just, you know, an expensive one for whatever real estate developer wanted to make a move.
  10. There's some at my total wine and more. I assume they're generally speaking nice but not too hard to find? I mean it's $120, that isn't nothin'.
  11. Sometimes that's all it takes, though. Westbury was nice, then fucking sucked, and now is nice again. And that happened amidst the entire meyerland area flooding out, what, 2, 3 times in a decade? The neighborhoods are run down and rough, yes. But once upon a time, so was the Heights, Shady Acres, and Timbergrove. Washington avenue used to be a regular spot for gun violence 20 years ago. At the end of the day, the only thing that ever seems to win is proximity to downtown. Hell, at one time downtown was a complete shithole and no one wanted to live there. But eventually proximity always wins.
  12. "We" aren't. Only one dude is rubbing his vagina.
  13. I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of surprised Greenspoint hasn't started to gentrify up already. The location in regards to downtown has to be pretty attractive, at some point there's going to be development.
  14. Considering the season, and coaching, it's hard to argue that Lagway shouldn't fold it up. The guy can heal, transfer to somewhere medium to upper program, and have a chance to rehab his career from there. Hell, maybe he'd be next in line at Tennessee. Doesn't Penn State need a new QB next year because Allar is a senior, right? There will be options. Meanwhile playing on Florida seems like a recipe to get him murdered, and what is he really learning and growing from this experience? It seems more likely that the guy is legitimately just getting shell shocked.
  15. Assume the Tylenol thing.
  16. The entire site ethos is being a bunch of assholes.
  17. To be fair, for at least the last 40 years, if not more, it's always been Inside/Outside the loop, and not some other "imaginary boundary." Everything you said is true, but I also see plenty of people in Katy commuting into the city to work driving 130k fucking Escalades.
  18. So you're going to park it where, and then have to move the food to the tailgate? Or you'd just get a new tailgate spot by the parking lot?
  19. Is this a serious question? Probably the exact same way you feed 1 person, but for more. The real question you should be asking is if Imma is going to cook a fuck ton of gator.
  20. Everyone is going to say that until he fumbles again.
  21. I don't know, I don't have a fucking encyclopedic knowledge of Texas State football statistics for 2024. I do feel like it's safe to say that Shipley will consistently be playing taller, faster, more athletic players this season than he did last year, who can potentially do things like jump higher with longer arms.
  22. No. You're concerned about the kick trajectory. I'm concerned that his kicks are all low altitude off his foot, which could get them blocked.
