  2. What kind of trouble does that create for the pilot?
  3. I bout ripped mine plum off on accident the other day, there not very secure at all.
  4. I worked at Steak and Ale in Amarillo, started out at the salad bar, finished there too.
  5. Sounds like you need to pony up more cash.
  6. Cavenders is average at best. NRS in Decatur is a much better store and has quadruple the selection, no to mention horse tack and other shit I like.
  7. I will do that this week, should be back in Amarillo tomorrow. I appreciate the help and the info. Have you been in Cavenders lately? Their AB selection is shit, very few AB boots and no exotics at all. I have been in multiple stores trying to find a replacement pair and they just don’t have any. will call TJ and see what he has to say. Thanks again for the help.
  8. No I didn’t, will call him in the morning. I wonder if AB expects the Cavenders sales person or manager to eat their part of this deal. I had a pair of the AB caiman belly boots. I noticed after having them a year or more that the inseam from the counter to the vamp was never sewn from the factory. I took them to Cavenders to see what needed to happen. They said they would send them to AB and get them fixed at no charge since it was a mfgr defect. They asked if I wanted soles and heels done while they had them, didn’t really think they needed replacing but figured who better to do it than AB and might as well let them do it while they had them. So AB sends my boots back with new soles and heels and a charge of $$$ whatever. But, they didn’t fix the vamp/counter stitching. So they send them back to AB and several weeks later I get them back. Now they have very small pin holes in the leather caiman part on the foot of the boot. I really thought some type of worm had eaten into the skin, was all over both boots. AB said it was faulty leather but they could fix them. After several weeks back at AB they send them to me. They looked great initially but after a few weeks the skin started tearing, looked way worse than the original pin holes. AB told me they glued them to try and repair the pin holes. They went on to eventually say the never should of tried gluing them, that just dried out the skins and made them tear worse. Asked me what I wanted to do, told them I would split a new pair with them. I said I didn’t feel like they owed me a new pair at no charge since I had worn them a year or more but did feel like a $600 pair of boots should last a lot longer than that. They said go order whatever I wanted at Cavenders and they would make it right. Been about 18 months or more and I am no closer to having this resolved. I really think I will just move on to Black Jack boots and be done with AB. BJ’s are better anyway
  9. Amarillo. Guy I’ve known and dealt with forever too. Said he ordered a new pair that should be in by last January. I call the guy at AB and he says they don’t see it but ask the Cavenders guy. Cavenders guys says he will “check”. Fuckin nada! Finally called into the store and asked to speak to whoever places custom AB boot orders, that person said they don’t have any on order for me. Fuck em!
  10. I have been a big fan of the AB boots, have several pair that have worn great. Kind of got bent, or so I feel like I did by AB on a pair of caiman belly. They admitted they fucked up and said they would fix it but they want to handle it through Cavenders where the boots were purchased. Cavenders manager pretty much been giving me the run around for 18 months. Long story short, I have about $1200 worth of Cavenders gift cards that will be spent on Black Jack boots at a different Cavenders location.
  11. Empress gin is pretty damn good too, has a funky purple color. Gin and tonic with lime is perfect in the summer.
  12. We used to own a burger place, it was a huge success when we added it to the menu.
  13. @NorthLoop I live west of Amarillo out in Bushland, that was a hell of a lightning storm we had Thursday night, did you get that too?
  14. Mac and cheese would of been a great addition to the burger.
  15. Fried spears are the suck. Chips have a way better ratio and the batter doesn’t come off like on spears. Chips and japs are the perfect combo.
  16. Would it be worth a shot to buy another magazine to see if it might be a freckle longer? Is the current mag OEM?
  17. Friend of mine goes back and forth pretty often, sent me this picture today.
  18. @milkman that’s a great looking set up, where are you? Curious on the frame for the kitchen, what did they build it out of? Do they cover the framing out of something similar to hardie backer?
  19. Not to mention you had a chance for a double meat hot dog and let it get away.
  20. What part of Colorado? I’m envious for sure.
  21. Bucket list trip for sure.
  22. Weller 12 is one of my favorites, be hard for me to make it into an OF. That being said, I bet it was a fantastic drink.
  23. I doubt they are going to go to that much trouble.
  24. @Brisketexan etouffee was delicious. Got to much color on my butter messing with the trinity but it didn’t matter. I needed a big ol chunk of bread to go with it. Thanks for sharing. Anybody else cook with a Magnalite pan?
  25. Had a breakfast burger this morning, it was damn good too.
