  1. I read on here or somewhere that when you think they are done, cook them for another hour. Pretty good advice when cooking beef ribs.
  2. I always enjoy trying to age deer, mostly for learning purposes. My initial guess was 4.5 or 5.5 too. Be hard to give him a pass but would be cool to see what he could be next year.
  3. That’s a great looking deer, how old you think he is?
  4. Slick Tricks are my broadhead of choice, they group right with my field points, and they are wicked sharp.
  5. Coyote Bluff in Amarillo, Randall County.
  6. We have a pretty nice meat locker outside of Amarillo, need to get him to grind me up some fresh sirloin and make my own. Thanks for the link Judge!
  7. Elk is the best game animal I have eaten, love elk tenders and chicken fried steak elk. If an Axis is ever in bow or rifle range I’m letting the air out of it. Wouldnt mind going on an Axis doe meat hunt. My wife’s family has a ranch in Mills County And there are tons of deer but no Axis.
  8. Doesn’t appear to be rude, I still want to see em though.
  9. Is Medina County the only one making it now?
  10. Congrats on the Axis, never had any of that meat but I hear it’s fantastic.
  11. I used the one above by Tony Texas and used buttermilk for the liquid. I also used about 1/8C sugar, not the 1/4 listed. I used canola oil at 350° and fried them for about 3.5 minutes. I did them two at a time so I could manage them better and not drop the temp of the oil as much. Yes, I dried the raw weenie with a paper towel and very lightly dusted them with AP flour. They really did turn out damn good. Let me know if you make them and what you think.
  12. Made mine today, used regular hot dogs and they were great. My twins said they wanted them every weekend.
  13. Because our next coach has heart and brain conditions, we have to think ahead.
  14. Because we are obviously so good at it?
  15. Thanks for the heads up! Need to show this to him and see what his thoughts are. I know there are lots of upgrades he and I need to do that are more important than this but none more popular.
  16. So do you have one of the factory radios already in place and will replace that with the refurb updated cat daddy new unit? Curious what that will run, my son has a 65 stang with original equipment. Might need to do this exact upgrade.
  17. Yeah I didn’t think about them being juicy/greasy. Might try to cook the hotlink first then batter and fry it. Thinking I might mince up a bunch of green chiles and let them sit in the batter overnight to help infuse the flavor. Anxious to see how yours turn out if you do make them.
  18. That is great he’s gonna try and shoot one with his bow, I love hunting with a bow. Post up the success pics.
  19. Great looking rifle, does the brake make it loud?
  20. This is a cool looking Master Craft, I would think that black interior would be hot as shit though, not to mention the water spots.
  21. Great looking Super Air Nautique 230 on eBay, road trip to Hotlanta. 2015 boat but looks damn clean, asking 80K, didn’t read to see if hours were posted.
  22. Curious about an Earl Campbell hotlink dipped in a hatch green chile batter, might have me a project this weekend.
  23. I think one of the pro tips is to coat the dog in flour before you dip it in the batter. This helps the batter stick to the dog. We tried making them several years ago without much success, the batter wanted to come loose from the dog.
  24. Freakin love the wood stock rifles. I get the benefits of the synthetic stocks but they just don’t have it.
  25. Should we email the Fox Sports link to CDC?
