  1. My personal "preference" is to rotate ONE of the dice by one side before I throw and whatever is topside is whatever it is. It takes 0.2 seconds and I'm not sure how many people even notice. I don't care what's showing but if I "stumble" on the rotation...meaning the dice fall funny in my hands or something while I pick them up...I start the whole sequence over. It's like when someone takes a cell phone picture of Tiger in his backswing. Now, I really don't care for the shooters that go through those meticulous 30-40 second "adjustments" before they throw the dice...but at the table I described a few posts up from back in April...the awesome shooter guy next to me had a solid 5-10 second routine each time before he threw the dice and clearly I'm a fan of his work.

  3. Took the plunge today and put a deposit down on a Monaco package for next year. I feel like a little kid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. The announcers said a couple things about it in passing like it was a "tough race" but yeah, he seemed ready to collapse.
  5. So, anyone happen to take Ocon at 300-1 odds or Seb at 250-1?
  6. Lewis is such a bitch.
  7. Both Williams' drivers currently in the points. When did that last happen?
  8. Anyone know of a stream for the coverage that might work for me here in Europe?

  10. I had a motherfucker try that shit on me in Delta One back in April when I went from Atlanta to Vegas of all places...after four beers he takes on the tone like my wife "another one?"
  11. I’m taking the CDC return-travel approved at-home Abbott test when I head over…after seeing an article a few weeks ago that said the Italian airports may close their on-site testing soon. We would probably be safe but I was a little concerned we may get to FCO and not be able to get a test. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. 4th of July party yesterday at a buddy's house, who lives 40 minutes across town. We go every year, and have for over a decade. And EVERY year, when we leave our house, the wife says, "you aren't going to stop to buy beer at the store right next to our house?" And EVERY year, I say "no, I won't want hot beer by the time we get there, we will stop at the store right next to his house."

  15. Text exchange with my wife earlier: Her: "You locked me out of my car" Me: "Well, that's impossible, you were literally driving it when I left." (She had to move her car because she had blocked the driveway) Her: "Well my keys are somehow locked inside." Me: "I really don't know what you tell you other than I'll be home in a couple hours." Her: "Nevermind, all the doors were locked except the driver door."
  16. Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle……..Constanza?!?!?
  17. Agree and that was my bad in fucking up what I said...I didn't mean to suggest we'd see the entire country in two weeks but we do have flexibility to really go anywhere outside of Rome and I figured a couple of stays would be very enjoyable. Venice is high on my list since I've never been although my wife has and she thinks 2-3 nights will be plenty there, which leaves roughly a week for somewhere else. Thanks for all the feedback...when y'all are hitting some of these regions like Tuscany...is a car rental an absolute must or can you get around moderately well enough between trains and cabs? When I looked at a car rental outside of Florence the rates were just absurd.
  18. Do y'all mind if I dust this thread off? Taking the family on a COVID tested flight in July for 14-15 nights. Have pretty much carte blanche as an itinerary so planning to show the kids Rome for a few days (have a killer AirBNB lined up) and then explore the rest of the country in the rest of the allotted time. Trying to finalize everything in the next week or two so I can stop worrying about it. I don't think I've ever been more excited to GTFO of the states for a vacation, though part of me really wonders what we're walking into.
  19. Look Manny, Kramer put mousse in his hair!
  20. That's kooky talk.
  21. And these fucking Gumps have me rolled up…the live music act is replacing lyrics with “Alabama” for whatever state it should be, and the locals here are predictably electrified over it. Is this the most insecure, retarded state ever? So far we’ve gone through Country Roads and I just heard “corner of Winslow, Alabama.” Fucking kill me.
  22. From now on, I’m not wearing anything unless it’s straight out of the dryer.
  23. Vegas report: Spent a few days playing at Caesars, Bellagio, and Aria. Tables all allowed 8 players total, but unlike in prior years and with pretty hefty crowds in town I didn't have a problem ever finding my preferred spot at the end. With maybe an exception for a few hours on Thursday and early Friday, I never saw anything lower than a $25 minimum table at Caesars. Bellagio and Aria had $15 minimums every morning. The action was mostly down for the first two days, and then yesterday afternoon happened. I was down around $1,000 for the trip at this point and figured if I lost another $1,000 the afternoon/evening before I left, whatever, it was well within my budget for the trip. My wife wanted to go shopping after lunch so I walked up to an empty $25 table at Caesars and cashed in $500, a little more than my typical $200-$300 limit per session. I'd roll a point, crap out, roll a point, crap out, and finally on about my fourth roll had a point of 8 established, $25 on my odds, $30 on the 6, and only about $3 left in my stack. Basically down to my last $80 bucks for this go-around and what happened next is why I love this game so much. I proceeded to roll 3-4 points, hit various numbers and hard-ways along the way, and built my bankroll back up to about $700 or $800 before crapping out. The table was now full at this point, and I hovered right around $800-$1000 in my stack for the next 3 shooters when the dice finally got back to my end of the table to a quiet gentleman standing in the "slot" just left of the stick man. The dude then goes on one of the best rolls I've ever seen or been a part of in my life. One of my favorite plays as I've mentioned in the past on this thread is starting out rolls with $5 hard-ways, and either press or parlay them up each time they hit. On the hard 8 alone I hit at $25 once, $100 twice, and then at $150 once. I hit the hard six at $100 once and hit a hard ten at $100 twice. By the end of the roll, I had over $7,000 in my stack which was by far more than I've ever won on a single roll. I was next to shoot so figured what the hell, but crapped out within about 3 rolls and cashed in my chips for a little over $6,800. I'm sure it's not much for the Surly 1%er's but that's a damn good weekend for me.
  24. I'll be hitting up Old Homestead this week...was torn between there and Prime. Really looking forward to getting back out there and hopefully the tables are easier to play now since the tournament is over.
