  1. FIFY. I get it. Welcome to ‘daddy brain.’
  2. I said new gadget. He’s got plenty of butt plugs already.
  3. He’s had it for a couple of years. Yes, learning your pit before turning it over to a computer is a moral imperative, but I think his inquiry is part looking for convenience and part just looking to play with a new gadget.
  4. Post 2/2 Second, originally posted in the “Ranting Man Arrested After Repeatedly Crashing Truck Into Dallas TV News Station (Fox-KDFW)” thread over in Daily Texan, re-posted here at @MNLonghornFUKM ‘s request, with additional photos, also at his request along with @Beau Vine's request. I present Hanna Battah, currently of KDFW Fox 4:
  5. Post 1/2 First, I must pay tribute to the thread's namesake. This is from the 24/7 coverage of Hurricane Harvey last year, originally posted on TOS. I LOVE the glasses.
  6. Following up on dad’s question above... my FIL is asking about a computer for a WSM. I use a DigiQ on my BGE, and that’s great for my BGE, but is there a favorite among the WSM faithful? Are there considerations that need to be made for WSM, say any difference between what’s needed on an 18” vs. 22”? I would think not, but just trying to be thorough. Secondarily, for those of you with computers, do you wish your computer had functionality and/or features that it doesn’t already, and if so, what would you buy instead? For example, though I like my DigiQ, the model I have doesn’t have connectivity / app to monitor remotely, so I’d like to have that on my next purchase. TIA
  7. Needed me a Hatch green chile cheese burger and some crinkle fries. Sliders for the wife and kids
  8. I wish. Just left my local DFW area Albertson’s and they’ve stopped carrying cotija. Dammit. HEB, please get your asses up here. More on topic, El Gallito de Jalisco on Wurzbach in San Antonio... haven’t been in years, but they were the opposite of thread title. They would only speak Spanish and would just enjoy the awkwardness if you couldn’t speak Spanish. I think it was the 2002 World Cup when we’d watch games there over breakfast. Great food. Dammit again, now I’m hungry.
  9. I haz a confused. You ate them raw? If not, why pre-slice? Also, nice boat shoes.
  10. Legos have nothing on this fucking thing: blends in with the rugs and floors and my (bare) feet find it every fucking time.
  11. Am I doing this right? late breakfast of eggs with bacon, cheese, onions, bell pepper, japs. cholula, mgd, .357 mag.
  12. Ha, I was coming here to post that pools are totally worth it when you have little kids. I’ve got 2 and 4 y/o boys. When it’s 100+ degrees out and it’s too hot for the park, the pool is critical for wearing them out, er, I mean, letting them expend their endless energy. Our ‘tanning ledge’ has never been used for tanning, but the kids love to have the ‘shallows’ as a place of their own, so to speak, where they can easily play, splash etc.
  13. https://www.amazon.com/Sun-Joe-SPX3000-Pressure-14-5-Amp/dp/B00CPGMUXW?ref=ast_p_ep $149 Prime, 2030psi electric. Use it all the time on the decks, planters wall, outdoor kitchen, walkways, etc. Very useful to deep-clean a high chair, too.
  14. Exactly. <=5 minutes to edit now? That’s ridiculous. Didn’t we have 20 min on TOS? Even 10 would be better than what we have now.
  15. So, I went to an Academy in the DFW area. Their in-store promo was free supercombo with purchase of Mossberg/Axis/PSE Fang crossbow at the higher prices. I showed them, on my phone, what I pulled up at the link above: Though they think I’m pulling up an out-of-state weekly ad, they honored both the lower prices and free super combo promotions, and they were great about it. $280 crossbow + $28 Federal Waterfowl Stamp + 18 Tax = $326 out the door. Sweet deal.
  16. What are y’all doing for Hatch season? I’ve only seen it mentioned in passing in various threads. We love those chiles and enjoy trying all the stuff that you can find available at this time of year. I like to roast my own (10-20lbs total, selected from whichever market has the best selection, about 50-50 “mild” and “hot”) and then freeze them to use throughout the year. First batch of “hot” this year: CM makes killer Hatch-marinated chicken and fresh hot Hatch sausages: Mrs. Sola (no pics) makes decadent quesadillas with the Hatch chicken: And the Hatch tamale stuffed chicken is amazing when roasted over oak: Any other Hatch fans out there?
  17. Agree - were spectacular. From CM in Southlake. True story, I’ve been teaching Mrs. Sola (no pics) how to select steaks so that she can do well when shopping solo. She was with me at the time and I asked her to select the steaks. She selected those, and I was all like:
  18. https://www.academy.com/shop/store/WeeklyAd OK the weekly ad (link above) for Aug 15-21 lists prices even lower than BabaYaga’s link. $10/$40/$50 lower for the Mossberg/Axis/PSE Fang crossbow. Really eyeing that crossbow at net $212 (after supercombo). However, I have zero experience with crossbows. Seems like a good entry level crossbow for hunting.
  19. I speared your mom’s yellowtail last night.
  20. I use Spectrum VoIP (note - different from Spectrum cable) and their service includes conference call / bridge line capability. They are based in DFW, and when researching VoIP solutions for my company, they provided the best value prop of all the VoIP providers I looked at. If you’re currently using VoIP, your provider may already offer the capability - just check with them. If not using VoIP... why not? edit: Wait, when you say your company do you mean the one you own of the one you work for? I assumed own.
