  1. This is absolutely my favorite show of all time. I am pretty much always in a loop of watching it going to bed at night. The comedy really works from Sorkin too. Like Josh talking about this building being a serious place for serious people, and then crashing to the floor as he tries to sit and his chair is missing. “I got the fuzzy end of that lollipop” is an underrated throw away line that I use all time.
  2. Somehow Bob worked with Dan. I don’t know if he was actually better back then and has gotten worse or I just ignored him more because Dan and Jake or previously Donny made it good. But this iteration of HL with Bob, Corby and extra Danny is unlistenable. I immediately shut it down after WTDS.
  3. I’m quite interested in the chili being served alongside a waffle.
  4. I miss Koko and more specifically fake Koko the caller. He was good.
  5. Yes. A poor man’s Matthew Broderick when he was younger. Another guy who I kinda thought would have a more successful career.
  6. The Hang Zone is the best show on the station and Dan is hilariously talented. Your opinion is wrong and you should feel bad about it.
  7. The queen ain’t no bitch, she got all the moves.
  8. Well, she was 21 in the Rocketeer and 39 to Scar Jo’s 25 in He’s Just Not That Into You. That’s just how time and younger pussy works. I think the moral of that movie is that is must be pretty fucking nice to be Bradley Cooper.
  9. It’s like we’re playing a game of chicken to see who can leave the least amount of toilet paper left on the roll, and if you change the roll you lose. Except, she’s the only one playing and I always lose.
  10. I’ve also found this to be extremely helpful when cooking to different temperatures. It’s pricey for temp probes, but I got it for Christmas and love it. Meater Block
  11. I recently heard her use the phrase “chester drawers” to refer to a dresser, or what a normal person might call a chest of drawers. Even after I lovingly explained how wrong and stupid that is, she persists in thinking that is an acceptable phrase to use in front of other adult human beings. Unbelievable.
  12. Just tried to order on the app and couldn’t get damn near anything. Even with just a standard burger I couldn’t even order a shake. What a bunch of bullshit.
  13. Seared the larger chunks of meat and browned the ground beef in a cast iron separately and browned the onions and garlic as well. It all goes into the big cast iron pot fully cooked with the tomatoes and spices to then smoke and meld all day.
  14. In the smoker at 250 for 8 hours. Damn good.
  15. Nothing to write home about from what I’ve been seeing lately. Every bourbon I saw was very pedestrian. I don’t drink much scotch so not sure if the quality was actually higher, but the selection seemed to be way better in that regard.
  16. Perfectly fair point. I’m out of the country for a few weeks and just happened to see it in that photo of potential employee gifts. I was bored and curious with no current ability to open it so I figured I’d see what you fine gentlemen thought of it.
  17. I was gifted a bottle of Stellum recently, but I’ve never heard of it. Any good or any notes on it?
  18. Picks with friends is my favorite segment of the week.
  19. At what age do the kids actually get into and appreciate this? I’ve tried it for my 2.5 year old and he could care less. I think maybe he doesn’t get it or has trouble understanding their accents. All he wants is Paw Patrol and it’s killing me. I’m trying to push some other stuff for variety but nothing else sticks.
  20. Yes, having the government be bound by Justice and the defense being bound by zealously representing the accused has worked just fine for a couple hundred years. It might not be perfect, but it’s the best system that exists.
  21. I actually have to agree with Sack here, begrudgingly so. Prosecutors take an oath that other lawyers do not. They are sworn to uphold that oath and "to see that justice is done." Having done that job for a decade and now being on the other side, I do know that "justice" is not always defined by everyone the same way...but the system is set up so that a prosecutor is not supposed to seek a conviction on every case and at all costs. Proving the case beyond a reasonable doubt is the job if that's what they believe justice demands, but dismissing the case or reducing it to a lesser charge is also the job if that's what they believe best serves the interest of justice on any given case.
  22. Are you saying its your understanding that in Texas the jury instructions are read after closing arguments are made? Because that is not the case. I only practice criminal law so I can't speak to civil jury trials, but the judge always reads the jury instructions after we have conferenced and agreed on them but right before closing arguments. The last thing the jury hears are the closings before they go back to to deliberate. The State gets to argue first and last while the defense argues second, but not last. The last the thing the jurors hear before they go back in the room is the last thing the prosecutor says.
