  1. Is that before or after you have a heart attack from running up and down the court?
  2. The Meow Wolf in Vegas is filled with shit like this.
  3. He didn't post earlier, so I assume he was on the phone with bizzle finding out where exactly in Canada internet access doesn't exist, just in case Tech lost.
  4. Go fuck yourself. You hope Texas misses the tournament?
  5. To be fair, he just got elbowed and no one gave a shit.
  6. On the plus side, from the color of his face, it looks like Ric Flair might actually have a heart attack.
  7. I think it's more about him playing scared. He makes a solid move, beats his man, and then clearly has no idea what to do.
  8. This is a fucking terrible idea. They'll breed more like themselves.
  9. "Oh, shit, someone passed me the ball and I have an open look. I should probably look around frantically for half a second, then make a half-hearted pass." -our entire team, probably
  10. We've also had some decent-ish looks that haven't gone in, but that - and some predictably meh officiating - is your game summary.
  11. Can you just say "Ballgame" and take your miserable schtick to another thread?
  12. Kansas? These guys sound like they went to the Dave South School of Broadcast Journalism.
  13. Right. I, for one, welcome the TJ Ford version of Carr. He'll pair really well with the Kevin Durant version of Disu.
  14. I've been interested in trying Sleeping Gods, but the idea of another long campaign fills me with "meh." About how many hours until an adventure/campaign is finished? Also, for those into extremely fucking hard co-ops, Assault on Doomrock is getting a new edition that is about to start funding. If you follow the campaign now, you get some free add ons. It's got an outstanding combat system and it's funny in an extremely stupid way. Previous editions had 2-3 hour playtimes, but this edition is supposed to be able to split into 3 one hour sessions, so I'm excited to try it out.
  15. Please don't. This is solid entertainment. I'm setting the O/U for posts until he tells you his dad can beat up your dad at 3.5.
  16. I see that BWG attended the Kirk Bohl's Journalism Summer Camp after Shaka got fired.
  17. Not sure where you're located, but I run a board game Meetup group in Dallas. PM me for details if you're local. Even if you're not, it's possible to play most of that stuff via Tabletop Simulator on a computer, and there a number of sites like Tabletopia that let you play online. I'm happy to teach anything on this list, and I'll play almost anything at least once, so drop me a line on the Surly Discord.
  18. I just looked back a page, and he's got a pretty sizable collection of games, so I imagine he's aware of the broader scope; I suspect that's why he called it "old timey." I, too, have spent a ridiculous amount on board games, so far be it from me to judge.1 If it's getting people together, it's worth it - I just didn't realize you were aware of other games. That said, I don't think I'd pull out Nemesis or Tainted Grail for kids (or anyone who might not be very into board games). If you're looking for the "good with kids" and "toy factor" crossover: dexterity games. Men at Work and Rhino Hero Super Battle are fun with anyone. Junk Art, Catacombs, and Seal Team Flix also fit, and are a bit more "gamey." You might also consider some of the Exit game series, if you and your kids enjoy escape rooms.
  19. Toy factor and table presence are absolutely a thing, but $240-$300 for Catan seems like a lot. For less than that price, you could pick up one of the giant CMON or Awaken Realms Kickstarters that have buckets of plastic and have a game that would more easily justify "event" status, albeit with more rules overhead.
  20. I understand fans feeling like something needs to be done to the defensive scheme, and there does seem to be some low-hanging fruit there. But I'm curious: what would you like changed on offense? It seems like most of the really obvious points we're leaving behind are due to QBs missing wide open passes and WRs dropping them when they do manage to arrive. We can quibble about blocking schemes and rotations, but it's not like this offensive scheme isn't putting players in a position to score.
  21. I'm generally sympathetic to this view, and there have been plenty of coaching fails this season, but the reality is that there's only so much a coach can do in a regulated amount of practice time. Our best teams had enough self motivated/enforcer players to establish a culture that pulled everyone up. You think the same person who sent this video out to his friends for the lolz is doing voluntary workouts and prep work?
