  1. Your friend's post is good, excepting the lart where he forgot that the US annexed Texas as well as getting land from Spain and Mexico. As a white guy with a Latina wife, I can relate to a lot of that. She's taken to carrying around her passport to be able to prove that she belongs here.
  2. My torque converter on my truck bit the dust a couple weeks ago, so I've been spending a bit of time getting the Sportster back into proper shape. Had to pull the starter to clean up/rebuild the starter solenoid. To get to the bolts that mount the starter you have to pull the primary cover. The get the starter out you have to pull the rear exhaust. So I got all that done...and transmission fluid is leaking out of the adjustment on the clutch cable. The adjustment is well above the primary, which means there is pressure building up in there when it heats up, driving oil up the clutch cable. Some sort of bug must have decided to make nest inside my vent tube. Which is wedged between the starter and the rear cylinder, so you have to pull the starter to get to it...
  3. Seems like this quote is just ran across yesterday from Notes on the Settlement and Indian Wars Of the Western Parts of Virginia and Pennsylvania from 1763 to 1783, inclusive, together with a Review of the State of Society and Manners of the First Settlers of the Western Country by Joseph Doddridge seems appropriate.
  4. Dem titties is great.
  5. I guess we're not calling any of the handballs? That's two obvious ones.
  6. Make a run to the goal...and then take yourself out of play by being offside by a mile
  7. Ninety days from signing was what I originally heard. Would make it October 2 I think. Did that get changed?
  8. If trusts are still taking longer, just transfer it as an individual and move it to your trust later since it doesn't cost $200 to do so anymore.
  9. Ochoa with a yellow from the bench
  10. Whatever you decide, get them now while you still can.
  11. I mean, I don't disagree with the sentiment, but maybe you should go back and read the comment he was responding to a little more closely.
  12. Yep, Filoni can craft great stories. Clone Wars and Rebels have poor animation and worse dialog, but are almost universally loved by the folks who spend the time to watch them because the stories they weave are done so well.
  13. I think we've established in a previous thread that bollards are effective at preventing things from being run over. Do we really want that?
  14. It was just always called a bar.
  15. The US actually tried to send minesweepers to Russia as part of the lend lease program in WWII, but Stalin refused them because that's what troops are for.
  16. I haven't seen it mentioned, but Northrop Grumman says the B-2 has a capacity of >40,000lbs. Apparently six of them dropped 12 30,000lb bombs. I guess the >40,000lbs is accurate, but now our adversaries are probably wondering about the true capabilities of all our other assets.
  17. There's nothing unreasonable about this at all.
  18. The fuck you saying about me?
  19. That happened to me the first time I tried to start it. It is a bit of an adjustment, but it does get better, otherwise there wouldn't be so many people recommending it.
  20. My only nitpick is not getting to see The Ghost landing as Cassian was walking off the landing pad in Yavin.
  21. Putin doesn't care about what's good for Russia. Putin cares about what's good for Putin.
  22. With all this drone stuff, I would think it wise to develope something like the SR-71 but for bombs. And stealthier, and with enough range to get halfway around the world. Keep them in the continental United States out in the desert where they are isolated. Then again, that would require something massive just to have the fuel, and it wouldn't do anything an ICBM wouldn't. 23. Rebels and several arcs of Clone Wars for sure. Those last few episodes of Clone Wars in particular. Of course you have to have been invested in the characters already for the full impact.
