Django is kind of WTF. I watched the first and about half of the second episode. It's a bunch of European actors who don't speak English as a primary language trying and failing to sound American, much less Texan. And their whole concept of the West is just completely addled. It's like a bunch of Surly posters decided to make a movie about the war in Ukraine based solely on what has been posted in the thread and without any basic knowledge of the geography.
I'll probably keep watching because I am a sucker for westerns.
This show needs its own topic. If you grew up watching Spiderman on Saturday mornings or reading the comic books or trading the cards with your friends in grade school, then you should be watching this show if you aren't already. I know a lot of you have comic book movie fatigue, but this is very much a throwback to those good old days and worth watching.

I apologize for not posting as plain text. Apparently that's no longer a thing that works properly.
And reflecting back on this sentence, it is a wonder why we wonder why immigrant communities tend to prefer to speak their native language instead of mastering the English language.
Yeah, the Comanche were the ultimate boogeyman of the west and not a true barometer for native Americans as a whole. Pretty much everything the white man did they did as well, but worse. That's not to say that there hasn't been a shift towards James Fennimore Cooper's "noble savage" in recent years, but only that the Comanches are a definite outlier.
