  1. While Deadwood may not be the greatest show of all time, it is definitely up there and it is probably my favorite to watch. I try and make a point of rewatching it once a year or so.
  2. Finally got caught up tonight (after watching my daughter bulldoze her team's way into first place in a soccer tournament nonetheless), and this is one of the best executed series/season finales I've seen. One thing I didn't see mentioned, however, was Coach Beard's shirt in the intro. We got a lot of talk about Crimm wearing a Midland shirt in that other episode, but Coach Beard had on a The Darkness shirt. Take a moment and watch this music video. It is pretty much the most Coach Beard thing you can imagine.
  3. If France knows how to do anything, it's to throw a good riot. Marie Antoinette out front should have told you.
  4. Centro Vacational El Salto near San Jose Iturbide, Gaunajuato has pretty much this, but it is made of concrete and at least has one landing.
  5. The titanium end caps were in there also, which looked relatively intact.
  6. Yeah, we stayed in Polanco in a three bedroom apartment with parking for something pretty cheap this past winter as well. Unfortunately, we all took turns spraying out of both ends and my wife got to spend her birthday trekking back and forth to the bathroom.
  7. Did you even read the first reply to this thread?
  8. AirBnB is the way to go when traveling in Mexico, especially if you are off the beaten path. We've stayed at some pretty nice places for cheap that way. In smaller towns, it may very well be the only way to find a place unless you already know somewhere to stay.
  9. You trying to call me loose? What's next, are you going to start calling me "mother?"
  10. I generally wear a watch everyday because I'm not a loser who is constantly on their phone or always pulling it out. It's much easier to glance at a watch to check the time anyhow. I'm pretty rough on watches. They might last a year before the crystal gets completely scratched up, so I usually don't wear anything super nice.
  11. So, I decided to rewatch The Clone Wars (also keeping track of which episodes are the most skippable, as most guides filter out some 30% of the content, when I'd prefer to watch all but the most worthless episodes), and I'm at season 2 episode 12, the start of the Deathwatch Arc. Interestingly, the helmets used by the Deathwatch are essentially the same form as the one Din Djarin has in The Mandalorian. It's one of those things that makes you appreciate how much Dave Filoni pays attention to keeping small details consistent.
  12. Lots of people are cross dominant. He is probably left eye dominant but right handed. It works fine for handguns. Shooting a rifle or shotgun, it is better to learn on whichever side your dominant eye is on.
  13. We lost power Friday night and were out of town all Saturday. When we came back that evening the power was still out (it had come back on at some point during the day before going out again, so luckily the freezer didn't defrost. Anyhow, I loaded up some coolers full of frozen meat and the kids to head to the inlaws and stick it in their freezer. Before we left I told my wife I was going to go to the bathroom. "The power is out. Are you sure you will be able to flush it?"
  14. And let's not forget the text Monday morning..."you didn't put gas in the car?!?!?"
  15. Unless you've been before, I wouldn't combine Yellowstone with anything. You can fill a week in there without getting out of your car to do any real hiking. If you want to do some hiking, then a week probably isn't enough. There is just so much to see there it is unreal. I would look at combining it maybe with the Grand Tetons, as that is a good park to just go and relax by the lake without feeling like there is so much to see that you are missing out on. Plus it has one of my favorite ever dispersed camping spots and there are showers you can pay to use by one of the visitor centers, which happens to take care of one of the biggest disadvantages of dispersed camping if you don't have a way to heat up shower water.
  16. It's not that they used a controller so much as that they used a Bluetooth controller. Edit: I should refresh the thread before replying.
  17. Meh, memespeak and texting language is invading normal language. How many times have you heard somebody say LOL or lulz? This is how language evolves. It's not exactly formal, but if we required all business communications to speak with formal language, we would still be speaking like the King James Bible.
  18. Surely nobody with a brain. But it's nice in the shade and there is a whole lot of cool stuff you can explore in the dessert if you know where you are going. It's the knowing where you are going part that gets tricky.
  19. Reserving campsites is a rookie move. Especially if you have a camper van.
  20. If they could pinpoint it within five miles in 1968, imagine how good they are now.
  21. If water at that pressure suddenly drops to atmospheric pressure, would it immediatly turn into little tiny ice crystals?
  22. I didn't realize @Helobious was a journalist.
