  1. definitely have them reach out to ASCF. They have housing near the medical center available, as well as cancer navigators. Missy Bellinger Trent, the Exec. Director, knows MD Anderson better than anyone. They are a wonderful organization. I am happy to help with an introduction off-line
  2. man, this is terrible. Sorry to hear. Is your niece local to Houston? www.cancerfamilies.org is a good resource here
  3. the crepe myrtle can be topped. They're very hard to kill. It's less than ideal to do so, but if you're plan is to top it, and then work the new growth going forward, it won't present the same issues as repetitive crepe murder year after year. When we bought our house in 06, there was a crepe in the front that had been allowed to grow more or less straight up for 20 feet. I cut it back to about 4 feet. It's now back to about 20, but I've been pruning and shaping every year since, and it's really filled out nicely. No idea on vitex
  4. go see Boom Chicago at the Leidesplein Theater. https://boomchicago.nl/ Ton of funny people have come out of that troupe
  5. I will just throw whatever earthworms I find while I'm doing other gardening into the compost pile. I've always been hesitant about buying worms because they'll be red wigglers, and I don't know about introducing them into the system. Other than that, sounds like you've got it handled.
  6. In other words you are in the market for a Toyota or a Toyota with different branding that costs $20,000 more
  7. este. Uber on the way there shouldn't be more of a hassle than any other outing, with more traffic. Uber on the way out would be a beating - designated p/u location, 1000 people trying at once, etc. Train will be a shitshow, but it's a short ride. Another tip: if the northbound line is too bananas, you can get on the train southbound and stay on. It's only one stop south before the train comes back north
  8. Just ask people on the street to take your picture and hand them your unlocked phone. Tripod too cumbersome
  9. As has been noted, ZaZa is the closest nice hotel to the stadium, and is convenient to the train. You may be a little crowded going southbound, depending on the time. You will definitely be packed in when leaving, but you will appreciate that ZaZa is only about three or four stops from the stadium going. MF Sushi is nearby and is extraordinary.
  10. Hire Errol to take you to Mayfield Falls. Avoid land pirates. Don't miss the launch point http://www.barrettadventures.com/mayfield-falls.html
  11. the interviewer is Julie or the interviewer is in league with the evil chicken empire and is playing Purple Hayes to find Julie possibly because he found her in 1990 and got her set up somewhere else but forgot where he put her
  12. The cage is under the bed
  13. I have a buddy who used to live down in Clear Lake and raved about this place all the time. Apparently they ate dinner there with Paul McCartney's mother or somesuch /csb

  15. last night we made egg
  16. Cardi B because the tickets were free and it will be bananas
  17. last week was a good week. Buck's Tuesday, Truth Wednesday, Valentina's Saturday. Feet were a little heavy this morning.
  18. The Great White Hype drinking tang through a fruit rollup straw
  19. Truth BBQ at high noon today and the wait took an hour. I would say that it was worth it, as the brisket and ribs were outstanding and the sausage was serviceable, but with Feges next door to the office, and the precision-machine efficiency of their line, it isn't reasonable as a regular lunch option. I'm sure they will trim the wait time as they get their sea legs, because they've only got one cutting station running, and by the looks of it, they are equipped for three. All in all I'd say it's an 8-9/10, and will almost certainly break the curse on that location. And that pit room. MOG
  20. $18 enchiladas is the new $16 burger
  21. did you put it on the stove
  22. Got some buddies egging me out of retirement to run the Marine Corps marathon this year. Any of y'all done it before? I've heard good things. I'm supposed to train for a century ride in September, so that could make things interesting.
