  1. i'd take him over any of the others being mentioned (brodge, martinez and potter).
  2. this was our concern dude. but does this loss feel better or worse without jose?
  3. he was sacked before he had the opportunity.
  4. gold also mentioned nagelsmann and rodgers in his report. no mention of NES.
  5. most of those reports are just the sun, mirror and daily mail citing each other. not to say he isnt a possibility but those arent the best sources and there is nothing in their reporting that indicates anything beyond random speculation at this point.
  6. the defense being broken is partially on jose. when it became clear last season that toby had lost a bit and jan was not coming back, jose decided to roll with dier rather than upgrade at centre back. maybe there was no better option given needs elsewhere, but if you know that position is gonna be a liability maybe try playing a style that doesn’t rely on them having to protect one goal leads for long stretches of games. trouble is i think he actually rated dier when it’s been obvious to anyone following spurs for the past four seasons that he is not a top-tier premier league centre back. i’ve also defended sanchez numerous times on this board but he has completely lost the plot and needs to move on.
  7. nagelsmann and brendan rodgers have been the top two targets for the past month. hard pass on klinsmann. his last non-international managerial stop lasted three months.
  8. bookmakers have brodge at even odds to be next manager, nagelsmann at 3/1. not sure why brodge would leave leicester for spurs at this juncture though. man that was sad to type.
  9. the other positive is there is now one less opportunity for jose to win a trophy this season and one less opportunity for levy to justify keeping him around.
  10. that's my point. it's a tactical issue, not personnel.
  11. we really don't know about the second statement because of the first.
  12. as he should. thiago should have seen yellow for the flying challenge that caused the first injury.
  13. good results all around today. taking all three points tomorrow would be massive, so i fully expect 'pool to break out of their EPL goal scoring drought.
  14. and how accessible is the full slate of nfl games in england without a paid subscription?
  15. providing a robust slate of matches via non-premium network tv isn’t going to magically draw a critical mass of fans to drive the premium on ad space up, especially since most of the matches take place during non-primetime viewing. how many posting in this thread became a premier league fan because nbc suddenly made it easier to see the majority of the matches on a weekly basis? with the premium that the EPL charges for their broadcast rights, networks in the US will likely continue to find ways to monetize the hell out of their programming via subscriptions from current fans until such time that the USMNT does enough on the international stage (collectively and individually) to generate more interest from the casual american sports fan.
  16. dont disagree on needing more creativity but ndombele is capable of providing this from a defensive position. the “problem” is further up the pitch, but i think tactics have as much to do with talent.
