  1. harry's not missing the NLD.
  2. lots of discussion about arsenal's issues in the epl thread too. it's the north london derby so anything can happen, but as long as they don't decide that a headbutt doesn't warrant a straight red i think we'll be alright. i am guessing mou will heavily rotate the squad for the euro match and we'll be pretty fresh as well. they're gonna have to hit some balls over the top to auba or laca and hope that dier or rodon/sanchez switch off and they can get in behind, otherwise i think it'll be tough for them to navigate through sissoko and hjobjerg with their midfield. and don't forget, they still have david luiz...
  3. as long as wilshere doesn't come out of his forced hiatus even though he could totally, like really, still play dominant top flight football retirement, we should be good.
  4. bob’s gone. he stole his car.
  5. where are you from anyway man?
  6. this is the harshest penalty in sports - i'd prefer it if the standard for what requires a direct and public apology to fans, teammates, coaches and club be a bit higher than it is at times, such as in the case of Pepe's headbutt yesterday.
  7. this feels like a succinct version of what you've been trying to say. sounds like arteta needs to work on the mental aptitude of the squad (when to not headbutt and when to embellish reactions so clearcut reds and yellows are called in your favor) as much as he needs to fix the midfield.
  8. this wasn't red. but to be fair, mike dean likely had tears of laughter obscuring his vision and there was no VAR to help him out. "suckle little man. suckle!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EYUtdSW42Q

  11. great result, especially given what happened elsewhere this weekend.
  12. will be surprised to see much of aurier moving forward.
  13. come on. that was a world class goal at the last gasp. if you can’t be happy with what they’ve shown in terms of organization and tactics the past few games i dunno what to tell you. the squad now has quality depth and we wont be forced to continue to play the players that made individual mistakes today if they continue to make them.
  14. southgate saying he'll play the next game.

  18. levy as brent gave me a good laugh.
  19. i mean, the first three episodes take place immediately after the sacking of a fairly well-loved manager and the hiring of a guy who has a completely opposite philosophy. not to mention a nearly 12-month run of terrible away form, multiple aging players in the last year of their contract and a superstar “leader” who had been vocal about wanting out for six months. if anything i thought it was pretty anesthetized in terms of what was really going on behind closed doors.
  20. tottenham 2020-21: half-cocked
  21. while technically true, arsenal have been finishing below spurs since before that.
