They have both German and English. When setting it, it will stay on the one you want skipping the other language. I keep mine on English. Might change it someday when I feel like marching into Poland. Regarding the bezel of the 104 & 103, it is what is called a countdown bezel. Slide it to when you are supposed to be there and it will tell you how many minutes left. Note: this doesn't work for wives. Still add 15 minutes to your planning.

In the hospital, I had a stroke.
Heck, it took two pages to get to some hot nurse pics (links, but close enough and hot enough). We will see what the morning shift brings in.

Bill Fralic died
Yea, he was pretty darn good too at Pitt/Skins, but I just can't throw him in with the props I give Hugh Green or Fralic or the others on my list above. Even doing that for the other Panthers hurts a bit somewhere inside. And he may not have had the pro career of the others, but Hugh Green was the best of them all imho.

Bill Fralic died
I just saw/read where Bill Fralic died. For those of y'all too young to remember, he was an OL for Pitt and then a great career in the NFL. He was only 56, and I don't believe it had anything to do with steroids or PEDs or CTE. I just read cancer so ugh for him and his family. He was an incredible football player and at Pitt when I was at WVU and just a beast to watch and go up against for our guys. PS: Talking about Pitt football, us old folks who like to hate on them struggle with the admiration for some of the talent that went thru there like: Dorsett, to Marino, to Fralic to Hugh Green to Larry Fitzgerald.

The good thing is that you can ask for a Valium and get it if the Cowboy/Colts game gets too bad.

Yea, the Frankfurt series comes with both a strap and a bracelet and I'll probably keep the bracelet oni it I think Sinn's Fine Link is much more attractive than their H link. I guess it depends upon the watch. i was thinking about going in another direction with either a copper or blue face model , but couldn't stop drooling on this series and think it is a good complement to my 104.......of course unless I add a MVMT .....lol.

The Downfall of Craig James
He didn't kill the hookers, just their Padres near the end of his career.

Should we have a page for surly owned and operated businesses?
What if I owned a drive thru Daiquiri or Margarita shop? Allowed or probably not?

The Watch Fanatic Thread
I had not realized this thread was here or at the other site until recently. I'm not a huge watch freak, but as a daily watch I wear a Sinn 104. It is to me just a great watch both mechanically and in style. I'm German and appreciate the German made (even with Sinn's Swiss movement in it). I had mentioned to another poster that I was getting the itch for a more formal watch and just recently I pulled the trigger on a new Sinn 6099 which is one of the Frankfurt models. I like how the 41 mm sits on my wrist and I like with most Sinns that the dial isn't too cluttered so that i can readily see the time. Below is my new piece, and then a picture of it playing with my 104. I told my kids it was their Christmas present to me. I enjoy looking at y'alls pictures. Hopefully some of you like and wear Sinns I much as I do. PS: Here is better picture of the 6099 I had found online without the glare from my phone camera for those looking at it. Really a pretty piece.

Texas District Court Strikes Down the Entire Affordable Care Act
One would think that maybe this will be the impetus to shit or get off the pot and we can decide whether or not to have Universal Single Payer health coverage and just pay for it thru taxation.

Who's going to be the first one banned from Surly?
- Mike Williams is leaving the team
Usually that doesn't happen to a thread until you show up.- Brett Kavanaugh Confirmation Thread
I tend to believe sadly that much talk/gnashing of teeth/hyperbole from Washington is simply theatre on issues like abortion or immigration. I also believe that you are correct on the serious nature of overreach by law enforcement into our lives, and as well would add in debt/pensions/SS (fiscal not monetary policy) as the big issues that should get the discussion over there inside the beltway.- Brett Kavanaugh Confirmation Thread
Because the intent is to mislead and down play the importance of abortion to PP's mission/existence/business model. The commentary and articles I talked about explain that, if you chose to look them up. I even saw a link to one from left leaning Slate Magazine delving into what is behind the numbers. Because your mother chose not to abort you.- Brett Kavanaugh Confirmation Thread
I was under the impression (for as little as :I have read about it), that this current ruling was more about whether lower courts should hear a certain case, not for the SC to be ruling one way or the other on funding or a federal involvement/legality of abortion. I think those are coming and the shitshow will be turned up to an 11 if one side overreaches.- Brett Kavanaugh Confirmation Thread
If that is the numbers from PP's statement then yes. As I mentioned, when the numbers are examined (not just by pro-life groups) they are misleading in what PP does. The Washington Post did a good article about this as have others. An example is when someone comes into a PP office to get an abortion, PP counts everything they do for this person (exam, STD testing, consultation, etc) as a separate service. That can add up to calling it 6-10 services for 1 abortion. That's misleading and number playing just to make a point on paper. It's like the NRA saying they exist for hunter safety training. The current issue with PP is just as much about funding as it is with actual abortion. Again, PP is disingenuous when they say no federal funds (i think they get about $500 million from fed?) are used for abortion, when federal funds are used for other things like the buildings and staff and overhead that wouldn't be there without it. The idea or talking point of they are there and exist as a "women's health provider" is as disingenuous as the "medical marijuana card" some states have had. It might have a few cases where it's true, but that's not the real picture.- Brett Kavanaugh Confirmation Thread
That statement is demonstrably false just by reading their own annual report and what PP calls a service. Commentary on the numbers from multiple news sources (both left and right) delve into this.- WELL I CA'NT GO TO ARBY NO MOREW
And no thread about Arby's here is complete without the Hope Solo pic.- MNF: Vikings @ Seahawks
The over/under on this game was something like 45. Pretty confident this one won't make it over. PS: I don't, but for those that gamble, Thurs night games are a complete crap shoot.- Time Magazine 2018 Person of the Year Shortlist
Probably next year if the shit hits the fan. So far, not enough has come out/gone down/etc. I would think it has to be Trump.- MNF: Vikings @ Seahawks
Damn I wish I still had a black and white TV. Seriously, don't look directly at the Seahawks. You will go blind.- NFL week 14
