  1. Wealthy people should not get the bulk of the tax cuts since they already have plenty of money. Did you pay attention to what the Texas legislature wasted the last session on? It was where a transgendered person can pee. Also in the last few sessions Republicans in Texas have done their best to prevent women from deciding what they can do with their bodies.
  2. Your post is stupid, it is a big issue and you are bragging that 44% of Republicans now support it. That is nothing to brag about.
  3. I grew up in rural east Texas and I've heard that line plenty of times. The town I grew up in had no blacks and there is a reason why. Racism.
  4. Agree, but I have hope that more people are voting for Beto in Red counties than voted for Clinton. She didn't go to all 254 counties.
  5. Lots of poor rural white folks who vote red have these conditions. I know, I know, people on both sides of the political spectrum have these conditions but being a Democrat that is the first group I thought of.
  6. I am under that impression. I know one person who is disabled who got insurance through the ACA and another who has money and not working and she gets her insurance through the ACA. She is close to getting Medicare as she is in her 60's. The article I read stated : At the time of the interview (May 22, 2018), 9.9 million people, or 3.7 percent, obtained health coverage through the Affordable Care Act marketplaces or state-based exchanges. 3.7 3.7% is a small part of the country. What am I missing?
  7. My guess is the biggest increase we pay since 2010 is the amount in property taxes.
  8. What is the point? Healthcare costs have been very high for decades, both before and after 2010. I assume most on here have never been on the ACA since we have college degrees and thus our healthcare is through our employers.
  9. Voted at the Old Quarry Library on Village Center off Far West Blvd this morning at 9. the line was about 20 people. Excited that the turnout in Texas is breaking all the records. Good news for Dems.
  10. From Bruce Elfant's First Day Voting the number of in person voters is 32,302 and the number of mail in is 12,668 and his total is 47,405 but should be 44,970 unless one of the numbers for in person or mail in votes is incorrect.
  11. Boom! Love it especially after the way I was treated in Columbus in '05.
  12. Doesn't change the fact that the Republican Party is a party of the ends justify the means.
  13. You are exactly like Trump, projecting your and your party's sins onto others.
  14. Got a robo call from Ted C asking me to pray and donate to his reelection. I don't pray but if I did I'd pray for his defeat.
  15. I would like to see the exams given in that class. And who gets a plaque for completing such a class? Waste of taxpayer money in many ways.
  16. You can't judge a political base by one crazy person.
  17. Rural white Texans eat this shit up.

Right. He'd like some of the answers I get on my college math exams too. Independent thought and all. In this day and time these stupid responses are called alternative facts, I call them wrong.
  19. Some believe Republican gerrymandering discourages potential Democratic voters from going to the polls.
  20. You have proof that President Obama wiretapped Trump Tower? Cite it. As for as me keeping my doctor and my plan, I have never been on the ACA so no I didn't lose my doctor; however it is estimated that only 2% of people had to change doctors and it was because some doctors wouldn't accept people using the ACA. Some doctors didn't meet the basic standards, which were good standards, so patients had to find new doctors, which again, was good for those patients. Your reasoning in your post makes no sense.
