  1. You've never actually watched a football game have you? On a related note, I'm glad they finally stopped having Bijan return punts.
  2. Here's the play. There was plenty of fail, but Brockermeyer is the worst offender. Richardson is blitzing... well, let's call it running aimlessly up field. The fact that Richardson bit so hard on the WR moving like there was going to be a screen suggests he at least thinks he's responsible for that receiver/area. Meanwhile, Brockermeyer just stands there for a second or two, plays patty-cake with the o-lineman, then misses the tackle.
  3. Bama isn't the same team on the road as they are at home. Last year they only had 4 road games: a 2 point win at Florida, a 3 point loss to aggy, a 40 point win at Miss St, and a 2 point win in 4OT at Auburn. Other than Miss St, they were +1 in three true road games.
  4. Brockermeyer was really bad. He was responsible for most of the yards on their TD drive. I.e. about a third of their yards on the day. Poor instincts and limited athleticism are a bad combo. Unfortunately, Ford isn't that much better. I'm not sure how he is ahead of Richardson, who looked pretty good. Hell, Jett Bush looked better than Ford. Ford was often in the right spot and just couldn't finish the tackle (as opposed to Brockermeyer being completely out of the play).
  5. PFF went full retard. Majors was MUCH better than Robertson. Majors' worst play was missing a stunt, but the ball was out before the defender could get to Ewers. He also ended up on his face when he reached for a defender and the guy side-stepped him while yanking his pads. He basically did a belly flop on the field, but he was 15 yards from the ball. He looked lost at the second level at times, but that was 10 yards down field. Otherwise he had a good game. Robertson went back and forth between looking great and getting beat.
  6. Watching it again, the o-line was better than I thought. Helm struggled on several plays and the sack on Ewers looked like his guy. Sanders let a guy run right by him and stop Bijan at the line. Another stop on Bijan was just a good play by a db. In real time it seemed like there were more busted assignments.
  7. The o-line looked like we had three new starters. Our per-rush numbers ended up pretty good, but there was a lot of feast or famine. We'd lose a yard and then gain 15. We got a third of our yards on three carries. Against ULM, that's not a good look. On a positive note, for the most part it seemed to be busted assignments rather than guys getting beat one-on-one. That's easier to fix than physical limitations.
  8. Ewers wasn't great, but he didn't panic after a really bad start and his decision-making got better as the game went on. It would have been nice to see him connect on a couple of deep throws, but otherwise he did well for his first start.
  9. Seeing Card struggle and Brockermeyer give up an easy touchdown game me hope. Those guys looked just as bad as last year while everyone else looked improved. Quinn had his struggles and Bama is going to do obscene things to the o-line, but at least we seem to be improving.
  10. We also had a special teams score and a pick six which reduced the number of drives.
  11. UH receivers have stone hands.
  12. UNC/App St. was crazy. Meanwhile, Iowa beat South Dakota St. 7-3 with a field goal and two safeties.
  13. They are 5-5 against Miss. St. since joining the SEC. They need to aim lower if they want an easy win.
  14. In his defense, Jimbo is stealing millions in public funds meant for stupid people and no one is talking about criminal charges against him. Still, fuck Brett Favre.
  15. Bryant was actually there for four years, but I agree. I think most people would also argue that Moses won his bowl game pretty convincingly.
  16. I didn't realize until I was today years old that Tom Herman had a higher winning percentage at Texas than Bear Bryant did at aggy. That was Bryant's lowest winning percentage of any school he coached at and he lost the only bowl game he coached at a&m. And he's their "Moses."
  17. I doubt he's the coach they need, but he's definitely the coach they deserve.
  18. Sling is really easy to pause for extended periods. I restarted my service this weekend after cancelling it last fall and didn't even have to re-enter my payment info. It took all of about a minute to get LHN again.
  19. Rice had some iffy looking cheerleaders, but they were probably all going to be doctors or physicists. Something tells me there are no physicists in that bunch.
  20. Lane Kiffin has surpassed Leach as my favorite coach who I hope never coaches at Texas.
  21. Somehow he was credited with 10 tackles. I didn't notice him make a single play.
