  1. Bellichick: Sweep the leg. Do you have a problem with that?
  2. I kinda-sorta-but-not-really see why Flood plays Jones. It's like me and golf. I've only played a handful of times, don't particularly enjoy it, and suck at it. But I made just enough good shots that my competitiveness kicked in and I wanted to play again because I knew I could do better. In reality, I probably would have sucked just as much no matter how much I played. Flood has to look at Jones and think the same thing. Jones has all the tools and does just enough that Flood wants another shot at making Jones better. So far, I'm better at golf than Jones is at left tackle.
  3. He had a brutal start to the game. He missed the tackle on the first TD (though Cook missed first). Then on one of Evans' long runs early in the game, he sprinted to the left while Evans ran right up the middle. I have no idea where he was going.
  4. I don't know about the Cotton Bowl, but it helps with analytics. I'm sure CDC is paying attention to who shows up and who doesn't.
  5. This game really highlighted the difference between Bijan and RoJo. RoJo is really good, but he needs some space to get going. Bijan just pulls yards out of thin air.
  6. There was a play just like this against Rice. Flood has to get these guys to communicate with each other.
  7. You keep using that word "relationship." I do not think it means what you think it means.
  8. Mizzou seems really, really bad
  9. There were stupid penalties, it just wasn't the players' fault. That roughing penalty on Cook was awful as was the call on Overshown.
  10. That wasn't fake. It was Joey Freshwater and and Ole Miss cheerleader.
  11. Saban: Let me tell you all this shit about Sark. The Mannings: You mean the guy you hired? Twice?
  12. He would have been run into the ground and injured.
  13. My wife had to go to Philly for a meeting a few years ago so we decided to make a weekend of it. Turns out Philly has a naked bike ride every year. We were walking out of a restaurant when a hundred or so naked people biked by. That made for some awkward conversations with the kids.
  14. I'm pretty sure 19 is possessed.
  15. Wow - there are some strange rankings. Iowa St. at 15 and Iowa at 28. Clemson at 7 and Wiscy at 11? Aggy at 12 with the 52nd ranked offense? They need to phase out the preseason rankings much faster.
  16. Have we started an over/under on the number of times the announcers mention that Casey's dad played QB for OU during the game? Whatever it is, I'm taking the over.
  17. Bijan - 70 carries, 436 yards, 6.2 average Hall - 87 carries, 436 yards, 4.9 average Smith - 57 carries, 413 yards, 7.2 average Smith has some crazy numbers, but they were primarily against Kansas, Texas State, and Texas Southern. I'll be curious if he keeps that up against better competition. Rice, Tech, and ULL aren't exactly murderer's row, but a definitely better than what Smith has faced.
  18. So we're just pretending OU and Ohio State don't exist now?
  19. This is a weird season where no outcome is shocking. Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Clemson have all been regular playoff participants and are struggling so far, at least by their standards. NC State beating Clemson was an upset, but was it really all that surprising given how they've played? Would anyone be shocked if OSU lost to Indiana? I could see OU losing 3 or 4 games (or having a crazy series of fluke plays that allow them to pull out every game despite sucking). Bama looks like the best team, but they don't look like the soul crushing machine they were last year. Saban has only had two undefeated seasons and I wouldn't bet on a third this year. Though he'll probably win the championship. Again. Georgia has an amazing defense and who knows on offense. Plus Kirby Smart is contractually required to lose a game he shouldn't. Then there's a cluster of 10 or 12 teams who I wouldn't be surprised if they beat anyone in the top 10 or lost to anyone in the top 30. I could see Arkansas beating Georgia and losing to Auburn.
  20. I suspect O'Neal is going pro in something other than sports. He'll explore his "options" and realize they are all located in College Station.
  21. It would be a shame if there were some weird issue behind the scenes that resulted in Ohio State players quitting during the game and others saying they want to transfer out. And by 'shame' I mean "Dear eight pound, six ounce new born baby Jesus, please make this happen!"
  22. Did Sark mention Card after the game? Card got pulled pretty quickly after the clock management issues, but I haven't seen any reference to Sark discussing it.
