  1. Last week was such at beat down that aggy beat them twice. They'll update their record and have a commemorative cup next home game.
  2. I thought Ryan Day was Mack Brown 2.0, but Mack may have a slight advantage.
  3. Come on, Frost. Win today and you might make it to the end of the season.
  4. I'm a t-shirt fan, but my paternal grandparents met at UT. We have a ranch in the hill country and spent every Thanksgiving there. There was no TV so my grandfather would listen to the aggy game on AM radio. I was probably 8 or 9 when I started listening too and became a lifelong UT fan. I went to Trinity, which was division 3, so continuing to follow UT was pretty easy.
  5. I can't remember if it was Confucius or Ghandi who said, "if you don't know who the lazy fucktard is, you're the lazy fucktard."
  6. If only there were some mysterious, yet ubiquitous technology that allowed one to find the answers to this and other pressing questions of our time. An oracle of sorts that you could literally ask, "who won the Louisiana/Ohio game" and they would respond along the lines of, "Louisiana won 49-14, you lazy fucktard." If only.
  7. I don't know the answer on VY, Colt, or Sam. Being vocal is something Card can work out. Getting rattled is more difficult. Both of those are probably typical for redshirt freshmen. Hopefully he gets to play a lot of second half snaps and work out the kinks.
  8. I forgot about Richardson. He was supposed to be pretty good at New Mexico (or wherever he was) wasn't he?
  9. How many of those A&M/Colorado were watching it against their will? I wasn't watching that game so much as yelling obscenities at the TV for switching.
  10. Look at how many dashes that fucker used! Why is he YELLING Sark's name? Quit being a pussy and go kick that guy's ass just on principal.
  11. No one is talking about how Helm walks on water and Sanders kicks puppies, so we've got that going for us.
  12. In a rare moment of clarity, the Surly folks did something really wise and sponsored the entire TE room. Or it was an elaborate plot to use the only bbq pun they could come up with. Either way, it was a good idea. IT, on the other hand, took a gamble, lost, and now are acting like morons.
  13. For all the shit Giles got around here, he's a good coach. Bo Davis is too so something is off with the DL.
  14. It's hard to believe that BON was the best Texas site for a chunk of time. That chunk of time ended abruptly when Peter Bean left.
  15. They also trailed at half to Rice. At home. And were tied at the end of the third quarter. Rice dreams of winning 4 games a season.
  16. Someone tell Boyd your NOT supposed to go full retard.
  17. Offense: We support both QBs. Defense: Casey looked better.
  18. I wouldn't mind taking lumps with Card if he had vastly superior talent. He definitely has a higher ceiling, but Card isn't Vince Young to Casey's Chance Mock.
  19. The one knock on Ohio State (and Notre Dame for that matter) is that it doesn't have the local talent that Texas, Florida, and Georgia have access to. Ohio is definitely second tier for blue-chip recruits. It's not Nebraska, but it isn't Texas or Florida either who have a ton of talent within a reasonable driving distance. The same coach recruiting the same recruit would probably have an easier time convincing them to stay close to home. On the other hand, Ohio State has no in-state competitors, which off-sets the geographic disadvantage.
  20. This is the right answer. LSU lucked into Saban and the prior decades of mediocrity magically disappeared. The same thing happened with Alabama. OU lucked into Stoops. Hire the right guy and all the rest works itself out. Hire the wrong guy and facilities, boosters, etc. aren't going to help you.
  21. You have to make Todd Orlando tell you no. Amiright? If not, they just aren't the USC I've come to know and love.
  22. There's also a difference between a QB who immediately runs when he sees his first option is covered and one who goes through his progressions and then runs. IT seems to be selling the narrative that Card stayed in the pocket because that's what he is supposed to do. Sark doesn't call many QB runs, but I imagine he's perfectly happy to see his QB pick up what he can if no one is open. Casey only has 1 game of experience, but he hasn't shown any signs of happy feet.
  23. When Boyd sells out, he REALLY sells out.
  24. Spent all our money on tight ends. Wait, that sounded bad...
  25. I'm team Casey at this point. That said, I don't get the "Card sucks, Casey rules" takes. I still have high hopes for Card. He's just not ready yet. Most red-shirt freshman aren't. As good as Casey has played when given the chance, he only has one game of experience to date - a half against Colorado, a quarter against ULL, and a quarter plus against Arkansas. I don't know if he's the answer, but I'd like to find out. Casey should start, but we still need to get Card snaps. I suspect both guys will get better with actual game experience.
