  1. But seriously... With the 2020 class mostly locked up before the season even starts, the $9.95ers are going to have to manufacture some drama somehow.
  2. I am absolutely, positively certain that Aggy hasn't played any role in attempts to buy Demas. Not because they are above paying players in general or Demas in particular. But they could fuck up something as simple as toast. This would actually require some thought and planning - that's not really aggy's strong suit. If the school were involved, there'd be way more stupidity involved. There's something going on under the table, but it's way over aggy's head.
  3. Did I black out a miss a good year for the Big 10? Other than OSU, they were all somewhere between mediocre and bad. When's the last time Michigan or Penn State beat a good team?
  4. Didn't one of the USC defenders have a helmet-to-helmet hit on Ehlinger that wasn't called?
  5. Comparing top 10/top 20 wins is misleading early in the season. Or with any SEC team. LSU beat #8 Miami in week 1. The same Miami that went 7-6 and kinda sucked. They had no business being ranked in the top 10. Auburn was ranked #7 when they played LSU, but went 8-5 including a win over Washington and a loss to Tennessee. They weren't terrible, but they weren't great either. LSU played three good teams - Alabama, Georgia, and Florida - and won one. (I don't count UCF because their best win was against Cincinnati, the only ranked team they played.) Texas played two good teams (Oklahoma twice and Georgia) and won two. LSU had more "top 10" wins, but I'd argue that Texas had better quality wins.
  6. It's just a little labor dispute, there's nothing to see here. LSU didn't meet this month's payroll so some of the guys are a little less motivated than usual. Once the checks clear they'll be back in business.
  7. It doesn't really seem like he cares about arbitrary distinctions like "offense" or "defense." It doesn't matter why the ball ISN'T in the other team's end zone or who happens to have "possession" at any given moment. His job is to make sure the ball IS in the other team's end zone at the end of every play.
  8. Umm, what in the hell is going on in this picture?
  9. Johnson was the best, but Malcom Brown has to be high on the list.
  10. There's been a lot of criticism of the d-line. They weren't the problem today. The linebackers were terrible, as were the safeties. The d-line is supposed to eat up blocks and allow the line backers to make plays. But they are doubling the tackle and end to the play side and our linebackers and safeties consistently take themselves out of the play or miss tackles. Our scheme is designed to funnel plays to the weakest unit on the team. I'm sure Tech and ISU will build off of what OSU and WVU ran against us. I not at all sure that Orlando will have a response.
  11. We don't need a big name staff. We need coaches that recognize when something isn't working and adjust. Orlando is stubbornly sticking with a 3-2-6 that is being easily exploited. He's been badly out coached two weeks in a row. If Orlando won't adjust, Herman needs to step in and make him adjust. That's his job.
  12. Yep. The one benefit of firing him mid-season is now they have a ready-made excuse for the defense sucking the rest of the season. It'll be Stoops' fault that their defense is soft, their secondary is undersized, etc.
  13. Their defense didn't look poorly coordinated, they were just soft. Our receivers weren't running wide open in the secondary. They weren't doing crazy Manny Diaz stunts that left huge running lanes. They knew what was coming, they just couldn't stop it.
