  1. That's hilarious and not really surprising. Louisiana is like an entire state of 2 year old's - there's nothing they won't put in their mouths.
  2. Easy now. There are plenty of things about Louisiana that you can make fun of, but the food isn't one of them. (I'm excluding muskrat and anything that would generally be considered roadkill.)
  3. Defensive back, too small. Little guy. Boom! Are those your friends? Boom! Boom!
  4. Be honest. Did you pick 4 because that's as high as you can count?
  5. Holton Hill is probably taking a bong hit as we speak, but he's also on a roster. He's just not allowed to play for the next half season.
  6. This is simply false in every way. Burrow craved up a very good pass defense of Georgia Southern. Did you know that in 2018 Georgia Southern was #54 in pass defense nationally? That’s better than Texas at #112. But Texas plays in the wide-open pass happy Big12, so the comparison is not fair.... Georgia Southern also ranked ahead of Auburn and Texas A&M. Georgia Southern has 2 Senior CBs that played in huge games (Clemson last year for example), and yet Burrow craved them up like a Thanksgiving turkey. Perhaps we are under appreciating the work that LSU did on offense this week? How does one crave up a pass defense? Or a turkey? Did he want them too much?
  7. I'm not sure you understood my point above about an amateur vs a professional. Sure, he made a nice pass. That doesn't mean he's a good quarterback. Did he make any comparable throws against Alabama? Florida? We had a few years where every running back we played looked like a heisman candidate. It didn't mean they were good. It meant we sucked. We know from experience what bad offense looks like. We also know what superficial transitions to a new offensive system look like. So when we see a highlight reel against Georgia Southern (or is it State, I can't remember) we're gonna go ahead and chalk it up to them sucking as opposed to you being good.
  8. They say the difference between a professional and an amateur is that a professional can repeat their success. Joe Burrow completed 57% of his passes last year (a redshirt Junior) for 2500 yards. Ehlinger completed 64% for 3292 as a true sophomore.
  9. This was a perfect first game. It was a blowout with plenty of mistakes that the coaches can harp on. It's also nice to not have to rationalize areas of poor performance. For like 10 years, the OL would struggle against a less-than-stellar d-line and then we'd hear about how well coached the other unit was or how they were really better than you'd expect for Rice, or Wyoming, or whoever. Our d-line would get gashed and we'd hear that these were just minor run-fit issues or that the no-name running back was sneaky good. There was none of that this game. Folks can rightfully point out that LA Tech is a decent team with some legitimately good players who didn't really do much against us.
  10. Losing sucks. For Muschamp, losing to Mack Brown has to be devastating.
  11. And then fumbled his flotation device.
  12. But seriously... With the 2020 class mostly locked up before the season even starts, the $9.95ers are going to have to manufacture some drama somehow.
  13. I am absolutely, positively certain that Aggy hasn't played any role in attempts to buy Demas. Not because they are above paying players in general or Demas in particular. But they could fuck up something as simple as toast. This would actually require some thought and planning - that's not really aggy's strong suit. If the school were involved, there'd be way more stupidity involved. There's something going on under the table, but it's way over aggy's head.
  14. Did I black out a miss a good year for the Big 10? Other than OSU, they were all somewhere between mediocre and bad. When's the last time Michigan or Penn State beat a good team?
  15. Didn't one of the USC defenders have a helmet-to-helmet hit on Ehlinger that wasn't called?
  16. Comparing top 10/top 20 wins is misleading early in the season. Or with any SEC team. LSU beat #8 Miami in week 1. The same Miami that went 7-6 and kinda sucked. They had no business being ranked in the top 10. Auburn was ranked #7 when they played LSU, but went 8-5 including a win over Washington and a loss to Tennessee. They weren't terrible, but they weren't great either. LSU played three good teams - Alabama, Georgia, and Florida - and won one. (I don't count UCF because their best win was against Cincinnati, the only ranked team they played.) Texas played two good teams (Oklahoma twice and Georgia) and won two. LSU had more "top 10" wins, but I'd argue that Texas had better quality wins.
  17. It's just a little labor dispute, there's nothing to see here. LSU didn't meet this month's payroll so some of the guys are a little less motivated than usual. Once the checks clear they'll be back in business.
  18. It doesn't really seem like he cares about arbitrary distinctions like "offense" or "defense." It doesn't matter why the ball ISN'T in the other team's end zone or who happens to have "possession" at any given moment. His job is to make sure the ball IS in the other team's end zone at the end of every play.
  19. Umm, what in the hell is going on in this picture?
  20. Johnson was the best, but Malcom Brown has to be high on the list.
