  2. Eight Restaurants and Bars Still on Their Way to Resorts World This Fall and Winter (Eater Vegas): Bar Zazu, Carversteak, Eight Lounge, Zouk Nightclub, and more will open at the new resort this year Resorts World opened on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, and it still has so much more on the way. Already diners are finding their way to chef Nicole Brisson’s Italian restaurant Brezza, chef Ray Garcia’s Mexican ¡Viva!, and Famous Foods Street Eats with its bevy of stalls that primarily focus on Asian cuisine. Beginning this fall, a number of new dining and drinking outlets start to open, mainly on the resort’s 70,000-square-foot shopping esplanade dubbed the District that runs along Las Vegas Boulevard. Here, a look at what’s to come. Bar Zazu Estimated Opening: Opens this fall. The second restaurant from chef Nicole Brisson, who opened Brezza at the resort, offers a European café serving hot and cold tapas, cheese and charcuterie, and sweet and savory pastries. The 140-seat restaurant next to Brezza promises wines from around the world served by the glass, bottle, and flights, along with European beers and cocktails. Eight Lounge Estimated Opening: Opens this winter. John Pettei and Clique Hospitality bring the cigar bar Eight Lounge, which plans to offer more than 150 cigars, showcased in a custom-built walk-in humidor. Eight Lounge specializes in limited-edition cigars for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to smoke these rare puros. The lounge incorporates the number eight throughout the venue, even dividing the space into eight rooms with deep tufted couches and dark wood trimming for a masculine touch. A bar-length chandelier and subtle pops of color give a feminine feel for balance. A filtration system refreshes air every four minutes to keep air clean, fresh, and constantly flowing. The cigar bar also plans to have a 2,300-square-foot outdoor patio overlooking the Strip with a fireplace and a misting and heating trellis. Carversteak Estimated Opening: December Carver Road Hospitality, the new hospitality company from nightlife impressario Sean Christie, plans to open Carversteak at the resort in December. The 14,500-square-foot restaurant stakes a claim as the city’s largest steakhouse and the resort’s only steak-focused restaurant. The steakhouse specializes in thick dry-aged American cuts, global artisan beef producers, and Japanese-certified wagyu cuts. Two private dining rooms — dubbed The Knife Shop and Scotch Room — a 70-foot honed quartzite stone bar, and 3,500-square-foot terrace complete with a bar, dining, and lounge gardens overlooking the Las Vegas Strip make up the desert landscape space. Carversteak already tapped Daniel Ontiveros, the former executive chef at Scotch 80 Prime at the Palms and T-Bones Chophouse at Red Rock Resort, as the executive chef and Gianni Toffanello, the former general manager of Cut by Wolfgang Puck at the Palazzo, as the general manager. Caviar Bar Estimated Opening: Opens this winter. Caviar Bar from chef Shaun Hergatt plans to open on the north end of the District with caviar and cocktails. Diners can order Russian Osetra, beluga, Kaluga gold, and more, or turn to the warm section of the tight menu for savory baby waffles with crème fraiche and caviar, smoked salmon lavoche and caviar, sea urchin with bonito gelee and caviar, and other caviar-centric dishes. Zouk Nightclub Estimated Opening: September 17 The highly anticipated nightclub opens on Friday, September 17, with Tiësto on the decks. The 26,060-square-foot Zouk will become the Las Vegas resort’s nightlife focal point, building on its almost three-decade dominance as a state-of-the-art destination in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Malaysia. The club offers the Capital Bar and Empire, which can operate as an addition to the main club or separate venues on specific nights and seasons. Zouk, with room for 2,160, plans to be open Thursday through Saturday from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Mulberry Street Pizza Richie Palmer’s Mulberry Street Pizzeria of Beverly Hills, which originally opened in 1991, serves pizzas about as thick as a piece of paper by the slice and in pies with specialty toppings such as chicken ranch, eggplant Parmesan, and rigatoni. Tacos El Cabron San Diego’s Tacos El Cabron, which opened across from UNLV and has a second location in the works at the intersection of Decatur Boulevard and Meadows Lane, plans to serve Tijuana-inspired Mexican cuisine such as street tacos, elote, burritos, bowls, and specialty dishes such as birria. Tiger Sugar Announced as an original tenant for Resorts World’s Famous Foods Street Eats, Tiger Sugar is officially listed as coming soon to the globally inspired food hall. The creamy drinks will be served from a prefabricated food cart. https://vegas.eater.com/2021/8/25/22639989/restaurants-bars-opening-soon-resorts-world-fall-winter-2021

  4. Check airfares now and see what they look like. March is busy time with spring break and March Madness. If you see roundtrip from Dallas less than $250 or $300 on American or Southwest I would consider booking it now.
  5. (LAS VEGAS, NV) – The Las Vegas Raiders will require all attendees at home games to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination through CLEAR’s free mobile app and Health Pass feature, allowing fans to attend games without wearing a mask. The policy will take effect for the first regular season home game, September 13 against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. The Raiders are the first team in the National Football League to announce a vaccine/no mask policy. The Raiders implemented the change in accord with a new Emergency Directive from Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak regarding large events. “Health and safety has always been our number one priority,” said Raiders owner Mark Davis. “After consultation with Governor Sisolak and other community leaders, this policy ensures that we will be able to operate at full capacity without masks for fully vaccinated fans for the entire season,” Davis explained. The Raiders will offer the opportunity for fans to receive vaccinations on site at Allegiant Stadium prior to Raiders home games, permitting newly vaccinated fans to enter wearing a mask. The Raiders announced a policy requiring all full-time employees on the business and football staffs of the organization to be vaccinated in May. Stadium management company ASM and stadium concessionaire Levy also have implemented mandatory vaccinations for all full-time staff at Allegiant Stadium. The Raiders will hold a press conference at 12:00 noon on August 17th at Allegiant Stadium to announce details of the program and introduce CLEAR representatives who will discuss the verification process. Raiders season ticketholders will receive an email with additional information and instructions. https://www.allegiantstadium.com/news/detail/las-vegas-raiders-to-require-proof-of-covid-19-vaccination-for-raiders-games-at-allegiant-stadium
  6. They aren’t really enforcing the laws on the books regarding weed smoking on the sidewalks of the Strip but that could change soon when the smoking lounges open. They just passed some ordinances to allow for the new lounges as places for tourists to smoke their weed. Then we might see some improvement in the smell on the Strip, or not.
