  1. Was happy with it. Went to bed thinking I could be getting under a 13.0. Woke up to realize I bumped two sub 90s off my card and am a 13.9. Ive got to do MAJOR work on my short game and irons. I hit about a mile of putts and really every fairway it seemed like. It is time to get into mid season form.
  2. Got in 36 today to punish myself for not playing yesterday. 96 and 90 136 slope. I’m happy with it. Driver fitting on Friday. Yardage lesson in the trackman Sunday. 2 rounds in between. That’s my week.
  3. Big hole by Ku. Baylor looking like they don’t want to win
  4. Kinda looks like a honey badger
  5. Yeah. Restructure. “I love you Shaka. I’ve been your biggest defender among admin and alum. I think you deserve an extension. I’ll give it to you but let’s make this buyout more reasonable and knock it to $5M in favor of 3 more years and a bigger salary.” you might pay him a million more next year but reduce the price of exit by 3-4. Just throwing shit against the wall since we all know he’s going to be mediocre at best next year too. We all know he’s a dumb coach maybe he’s an idiot in negotiations too
  6. Ku playing lazy in the second half. Need to nip this in the bud and move on. Tech will be a dangerous game and 2 losses to end the year means we’ll need to win the big12 tourney to keep a 1 seed.
  7. Shaka going to make a S16 run. Then act like it’s him against the entire UT fan base. CDC should use this as an opportunity to extend him but reduce the buyout. Then can his ass the second he slips next year.
  8. Had a short game lesson yesterday. I was so far off with everything from stance to ball placement to shaft lean that it was unbelievable. Simplified to two stock shots from 20 and in and then got an outside in swing grooves for 30-80. Got back to spinning the ball so now it’s time to practice like hell. next Sunday I’ve got an irons session to set my gapping on the trackman. Then a playing lesson the next week for course management. On the 7th I’m headed back to club champion for a new driver fitting. I’ve found I can hit a driver with a stiff shaft but don’t hit it any further than my 3 wood. The difference is I’m consistently at that 265 number. That’s with a buddy’s club. If I can get a got driver fit for me then maybe I can consistently touch 280. I’m pretty happy with the direction of things right now. Playing my 10th round of the year tomorrow morning. Playing a 136 slope. A low 90s or 80s score will drop me sub-13 I think.
  9. He was a great hire. Not sexy but great at owning a program.
  10. Mike Brey wouldn’t be the worst hire for UT. He’d probably be about 5-7 on my list though.
  11. And OU goes from bubble to in over the course of 4 days.
  12. Shaka going to mess around and get an extension
  13. I thought it would be close. I especially thought Doke would have a down game after his performance. He’s playing at an incredibly high level right now and it is at the perfect time. This team is ready for March and it’s only 1 game away.
  14. I’ve been told to plan for 1k a day. True or false?
  15. Looking at the updated Massey Ratings and OU's resume, I think they're going to need a minor miracle to get into the tourney field. They currently sit at 16-11, 6-8 in conference. If they don't get to .500 in conference they don't stand a chance. How are they going to do that? Their remaining schedule looks like this: Tech - 48% chance of winning. in 1000 simulations the most likely score is 70-69 in favor of tech. @WVU - 21% chance of winning. UT - 69% chance of winning. A win here helps their win total but doesn't really help the resume all that much. UT is likely to lose their next two games against Q1 teams. UT is sitting at #75 in the NET ratings, which if they drop any further then UT would become a Q3 win for OU should they win. @TCU - 48% chance of winning. In 1000 simulations the likely score is 67-66 in favor of TCU. OU is currently #55 in NET ratings. They are 3-9 in Q1 wins and 5-2 in Q2 wins Their most likely finish is going to be 3-11 in Q1 and probably 5-3 in Q2 wins. They'll probably be somewhere in the 60s in NET which has to be on the very low end of the bubble (if they lose the next 2 they might be in the 70s going into UT). They would probably be the 5 or 6 seed in the big12 tourney which means they'll have a chance at a Q1 win to finish the season. The rough part of their schedule is right now though, they're looking at 5 straight losses if they don't beat Tech or WVU this week. I'm going to go ahead and say that there isn't a chance they are in unless Tech or WVU absolutely shits they bed and they take care of business against UT and TCU. Then they'll need to take care of tech or WVU in their first game of the tourney. That's a tall order.
  16. I have been putting on them. The Bermuda grass is so tight right now you have to be really aggressive with the wedge to get it up. My short game was nails when in mid season forms I just haven’t gotten it close to coming back and now I’ve lost confidence. I picture blading or chili dipping every short shot over a bunker or from 30 out. I also have lost all spin on all clubs so I’m aiming 10 yards short depending on pin position when attacking a green. I’m just not confident unless I’m on the green or on the tee box right now. T is awesome to pipe drives and make 10-12 footers like it’s your job but frustrating as hell to shoot 90+ while doing it. I've got a lot of work to do before pinehurst at the end of May. That work starts on Thursday over lunch. Then another 2.5 rounds this weekend. *slight edit to my previous post. Just looked and I have 9 rounds recorded for 2020. Which is awesome. The new GHIN app is sweet. 13.1 handicap as of this morning.
  17. My tee and putting game are tight. Played 9 today hitting 6/7 fairways. Didn’t hit one green and shot 45 on 14 putts. Missed multiple greens chipping from 10-20 yards. Have a lesson on Thursday. Short game and then iron accuracy is on deck. I’m a short game away from low 80s. I’m hitting the green from175-100 out to high 70s. Short chips cost me about 6 strokes today.
  18. Did you watch one game where he played against equal or better athletes? He got boat raced. Did you even watch basketball during his term? He couldn’t compete with the top 3-4 in the conference which is what everyone wanted since Norm retired.
  19. OU flat on the bubble with 3 tough games left. Big 12 is getting 4 in unless something special happens for OU.
  20. That was just a great college basketball game. Doke can really dominate when he has it going. When Garrett wasn’t making good decisions we weren’t playing well. If everyone locks in then we are an easy title favorite. Awesome game.
  21. It will be fine at a mid major. Maybe even win a conference every few years. But never at a highly competitive level.
  22. The truth is that Patterson is the fuck up. Not Shaka. Shaka is the triple option offense of basketball. Albeit a very poorly run triple option. Nolan Richardson won because no one practiced against 40 minutes of hell and the athletes weren’t what they were today. Mike Anderson brought that shit to the big 12 and got stomped because of how athletic kids are these days. Shaka got a massive contract and knew he would get killed running that system. Kids have endurance these days because they LIVE basketball if they play P5 ball. He tried to learn on the job and it didn’t work. Now he’s going to be rich as fuck and unemployed. He has no approach. He just knows the checks keep cashing so he keeps being a motivational speaker.
  23. I didn’t include advertising that might be going out the door. LHN is probably suffering as well (how many games on lhn?). There is a big economic model that a business like the UT AD runs on and it’s got to be damn close to change time for them.
  24. It’s all about having a body and knowing how to use it. Big difference between a 22-23 year old and a 19 year old.
