  1. I haven't seen it on the football board yet but one of the financial advisors testified that he paid football players at michigan, Penn State, Bama, and a handful of other schools (including UNC surprise surprise). Even if the schools didn't know about it then they played ineligible players and will need to vacate games. I highly doubt the NCAA will go in on that investigation though. They'll probably be happy to lay the boom on KU and then let everyone else go free.
  2. 2 more years with PG13. You keeping Donovan or dumping him? If the thunder are trying to get better the best way to do it is move on to the next coach. No real way to get better next year.
  3. That’s big. I didn’t think he’d leave but the prevailing thought among KU fans is that he would. De Sousa appeal has been filed and the indication is the NCAA has 7-10 business days to respond. Apparently 99% of appeals end in a reduced punishment. Maybe SDS gets off easy with time served after being out for effectively a year and a half.
  4. Finally got the lady served. Court on 5/6/19. She showed up to court this morning with an attorney so I asked for a continuance to hire counsel. Her argument that she isn’t insane is centered around the alleged fact that she was at a restaurant before I was and so she didn’t stalk me and follow me there. The protective order was for harassment though so even if she was at the restaurant first she still didn’t have to send hundreds (thousands?) of Texts to me after I asked her to stop. Regardless of winning the PO against her, the court has asked me to submit all evidence i’m bringing (the Texts) which is exactly what I want. I need it on record that she consented to our sexual encounter because she now describes the encounter as me making her uncomfortable. Basically, she’s a time bomb waiting to accuse me of rape.
  5. Exactly. Miller and wade should be defendants. Same with Self and Townsend if they actually had evidence that they were in on the scheme. Either that or the FBI should not claim that the universities were defrauded as the coaches clearly knew of the scheme.
  6. http://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/26554592/ncaa-comes-cal-poly-books-violation Cal-Poly vacating years of games in nearly every sport because they gave 30 students an average of $174 too much on their book stipends. Stipends which did not even cover the costs of the books. 2 years probation in most every sport they compete in. The NCAA seriously just needs to be abolished at this point.
  7. That sounds weird to me. Is this particular case about defrauding universities or some other charge? If it is about fraud then wouldn’t Miller, an agent of the university, knowing about the payments make it so there is no fraud since then the university would technically know about the payments? Further, if he isn’t an agent of the university then shouldn’t he be charged with fraud against the university if he knew about the payments?
  8. That is correct. I can't believe it. You break a law you break a law. There is no intent aspect to it. If trump broke a law he broke a law, regardless of intent. Same with lying under oath. If you do it you committed perjury. That is against the law. Let's apply the penalties of law. Our whole legal and judicial system is built on precedent. We are ignoring precedent for some and not for others. That is what they call..... a bad precedent to set.
  9. Oh so now you don't want justice equally applied?
  10. And if trump sat there for 11 hours and lied in front of congress at some points and refused to answer questions at other points while under oath would you be okay with him not being charged for perjury because of the amount of people who have lied before congress in recent years (holder, comey, etc..) have set the precedent that lying under oath isn't a punishable crime? You see, trump didn't create the banana republic, he is just part of it. These precedents have been set in motion long ago and we have a ruling class who is above the law and we have a ruled class who must be punished to the extent the law can require.
  11. So if the precedent of how Hilary was treated was cited in this case would you be pissed or happy?
  12. Pretty sure it only cost him $100M. Not a bad settlement given he could have lost something like $400 at the time.
  13. He will be the first billionaire professional golfer if he isn't already. Between 1996 and 2016 he earned approximately $1.37Billion on the course and through endorsements (source). That doesn't include two things... taxes and investments. He has numerous restaurants and likely many business ventures and has definitely put money in the stock market. So the compounding returns on those earnings years probably has him really close or just over the billionaire mark even after you adjust for his tax obligations on a yearly basis. If he isn't a billionaire or damn close then he has made some truly shitty decisions. If you just look at the $89M he made in 2006, chop off 40% for taxes, and adjust if for a 7% return yearly through 2019 you get $128.6M. Bump that rate of return to 10% and just that year of earnings becomes $184.25M. The guy is probably already a billionaire, even with his $100M divorce.
  14. Gonna need pics of your wife’s asshole to assess the damage.
  15. Question for @Armybrat.. at your age do you even have to fart to shart or does the rhea just kinda seep out?
  16. Barnes admits that if UCLA would have paid his buyout he would have left Tennessee. I don’t want to say UCLA is cheap because they have certainly gotten better than that reputation, but they clearly had a top dollar and stuck to it regardless of where that put them on their list for candidates who would accept.
  17. Fox said there is 54 acres of timber constructing the building.
  18. I’m shocked the scaffolding hasn’t collapsed yet.
  19. Yep. Reinstate him after the season and when the ncaa comes around you’ll have all the cause you need.
  20. The door is sooooo open.
  21. Cantlay cant buy a stroke.
  22. THe funny thing is the greens are probably rolling a 12 and these guys can’t convince themselves to hit it on a green us hacks would think of as lightning. What do do these greens typically roll?
  23. I can’t believe how many are flying the 15 green this week.
