  1. Haha I turned it off when they were down 22. Turned it back on as the final shot was in the air. UCLA is the worst. Just hire Rick Pitino and be done with this rubbish.
  2. Thinking about watching UCLA v. Utah. How severe will my eye cancer be if exposed to pac12 basketball for 2 hours?
  3. Fucking 90 points in a conference game. Jesus.
  4. Every team in this conference is an abortion.
  5. ISU going with the “leave them so open they miss” defense. Haven’t seen this since every KU game this year.
  6. Jesus isu. Where is the crowd? If KU was winning by 17 they would still be boooing as loud as ever.
  7. I want to be clear that I agree with you 100%. That’s just a method that the ncaa has been trying to go away from when judging teams. Dumb, but how it’s being done.
  8. When we were 10-0 we were arguably the best team in the nation so we would be a 1 seed. 3 seed shows we are worse. Two of your criteria are very true in the roster. However the committee is going away from that because it is too subjective so they aren’t going to judge based on that. The end of the season is all that really matters. I expect KU to land as a low 4 seed but if we somehow win 13-14 and take the conference crown then we might end up being the last 2 seed because of our schedule.
  9. Haha yep. ISU kinda sucks. This is why I say we suck as a conference. We aren’t a bunch of A-B level teams beating each other up. We are a bunch of B-D level teams that don’t know how to play actual basketball. I do think we get 7 in but I would be surprised is more than 1 makes the sweet 16.
  10. LOL. After trying to give up on the reverse jinx you’re right back on the wagon huh?
  11. Isu is so weird. Have a bunch of great players but just don’t show as a great team. Almost like they don’t know their roles every time down the floor.
  12. KU holds serve. Now needs help from Baylor and TCU today. UT isn’t making the tourney are they? I figured they’d get to 19 wins and be in but I’m not sure. 8 games left. 4 against the top half of the league and @OU and @WVU. They might not get to 17 wins. Lot of work to be a bubble team and for the first time I’m thinking that Shaka might be gone after this year regardless of buyout.
  13. The stopped doing special exceptions a year or two ago. That’s the idea of the team sheets, quadrants, and NET ratings. To get away from “teamX has a 10 game resume because their pg got hurt”. Also, they aren’t going to say “we think KU will get worse so we’ll give them a lower seed.” KU very well could get worse and our ranking will reflect it, but right now we’re losing the right games and winning the right ones.
  14. That’s a bad foul on mcgriff. Shouldn’t have risked that. I don’t think KU can even screw up this closing.
  15. I thought they were at 7 but I am probably wrong. Both teams have a short bench though. It isn’t like KU is doing hockey shifts. Both teams are going to we tired this last 4 minutes could get sloppy.
  16. You’re right. I was looking at Monday games, not big Monday. We do have a guaranteed 24 games on national television through espn. We are one of their most valuable properties so the point remains.
  17. KU only has 8 healthy scholarship guys playing but if you’re talking about talent disparity in that comment as well as depth then you’re right.
  18. I thought white privilege was an inherent benefit. So her privilege to use other cultures in her resumes is definitely beneficial because she got to show that she was the best kind of white...minority white. All the privilege of white and all the benefit of minority. Can’t benefit much more than that. Regardless of that, she takes another step in showing how tone deaf to political strategy she is by announcing her official run while her name is still being slung through the media for lying on her forms. At least wait a week you idiot.
  19. This KU team just is so lumbering and slow. It just isn’t a free flowing offense like the last several years. We’ve won playing two bigs but damn it’s ugly to play this way.
  20. You were attacking his political motives when Hillary was in the crosshairs. Repubs we’re attacking his political motives when trump was in the crosshairs (under his watch). Literally 80% or more of the population thinks the guy only serves what is politically expedient for him. I doubt that has changed over the last two years. However, I presume bama chick is suggesting he is going to run for office in VA, Virginia elected two dudes who are out there racists and a two time rapist. Of course Virginia is going to be a state that could very well elect comey.
  21. I think Comey would be the most polarizing politician of our time, which is truly extraordinary to say. Everyone hates him, but if he somehow got into office or into another appointed position he would absolutely use his position to destroy people. His comments before, during, and after the investigations he has participated in with the election, and his comments regarding his job when dems were calling for his head and when repubs were calling for his head, and when he was finally shoved out should eliminate him from anything. While he is right that the biggest enemies of our state exist in our own government, he is one of the heads of that snake and letting him back in would be a great misstep by the entire country.
  22. If you are a democrat that even thought that Christine Blassey-Ford was credible at all then you absolutely have to believe that this woman is credible. Regardless of whether she is or not. You cannot "believe all women" and leave these two women behind. That's how it works. Put him through a rigorous investigation by the FBI and local authorities, and then sit him in front of a panel of his peers to face his alleged victims. Broadcast it so the public can decide exactly who wins and who loses in their eyes. Then let the guy do whatever the fuck he wants because that's how our political system works.
  23. True story.... My company has a strategic partner in the real estate development world that invested in an airline in the 80's. His partner ran the show and he just supplied capital and resources to buy the planes. Turned out, his business was shut down due to political pressure. His partner was CIA and his planes were flying weapons to Iran. He actually made money on the deal and everything was swept under the rug as quietly as possible. The dude is actually a great guy, known him for years now. He's 80 and about to retire but he has some awesome stories.
  24. I didn't know it was stealing to just refill my cup from the QT across town at the QT I'm sitting at right now but I still have to pay for the soda. This is the biggest problem I see from both sides in the political arena today. Something comes out and all of the sudden everyone is jumping through hoops to say "yeah.... but....". Flat out, she filled out multiple documents that require truth on them from 1984 to 2004 and in the time since then she has said "I never did that," as well as "I am this," as well as "I can prove I'm native, look at my DNA." I think we can all agree that many on this board think that Trump should be held accountable for his misgivings, why aren't these same people crowing about how warren should be held accountable? The sad truth is we shove a dog's face in shit and piss when trying to train it not to shit in the house. We might spank a child or at least chide them when they do something wrong. We put people in jail for not paying a speeding ticket at 5 mph over in a timely fashion (trust me, I've been booked). But when a holier than thou politician lies for 30 years we say "but did they really mean to?" It is disgusting that we hold our pets more accountable than our elected leaders.
  25. The reason it is a story is because of how big of a deal cultural appropriation has become. Her party, and maybe even her, have fanned those flames. Someone dug up the dirt and showed that people within the ranks of fanning the flames are also guilty of what they charge others with. This will always be an issue for her because she hopped on a train and didn't think of the consequences. Now she has to deal with them. You're 100% right about trump and he said it himself that he could shoot someone in the street and still have his followers. No doubt. But when you build a glass house like the dems have you better not walk around naked inside unless you're ready to be called out on your issues. I have a huge rant about weaponizing dirt by both parties and now each party is having to sleep in the beds they made and they hate it. It has been an arms race to see who could stockpile more nukes against their political enemies over the last 10 years. Both parties would be better served if they would sign a peace treaty and some rules of engagement and start to work together instead of trying to sabotage each other with things that aren't even related to policy. Oddly, if they all stopped focusing on who wronged what group of people and who is oppressed today then they might actually sit down in a room together and hammer out legislation that makes the country better. Right now all they do is hate each other because of a climate they all created. Humorous if you think about it.
