    The Game 11am ESPNU

Reed Klubnick from Westlake plays WR for Yale. Holds the record for most yards in a season.
  2. Before it closed we did Thanksgiving at the Barton Springs Threadgills three or four times. I haven’t checked but I assume the OG location is also open.

Wait until they hear about my buggy whip emporium!

Good points. All of those mentioned do seem to be doing well (we really like Saffron). I guess I was focused more on the ones that failed in the center at Bee Cave and 360, like the Lion & Rose (bizarre idea for Westlake) and whatever Houston restaurant proceeded or followed it before it became a very lame Kerby Lane. I did notice yesterday that we are getting a Jersey Mike's. I'll be curious to see how it does with a Thundercloud across the street.

The UFCU across from P Terry's was a New Mexican style restaurant when that center first opened. And it was good. Lasted probably five years. If my memory is right (dicey) the building where Zoe's is now and where Biderman's is going was built after the fact. And it's a terrible location. The salad place was really good. Zoe's is just awful. I'm looking forward to Biderman's, but they better reserve for some lean times until they catch on. Westlake is a hard market to crack for restaurants.
  6. Went to Rosarios and it was incredible. Old fashioned nachos, enchiladas and ceviche. So good. Ended up getting drunk at the Pearl’s Dios de los Muertes and spending the night. May hit Blanco for breakfast before driving back.
  7. In San Antonio just for one day. Original Blanco Cafe or Rosarios?
  8. Just watched my recording of the NZ v Wales match. Probably last time to see Sonny Bill and Ben Smith in a World Cup. Anyplace in Austin showing the final match between England and South Africa live at 4am? Go Northern Hemisphere
  9. I’m guessing there were no buyers. Those seats were listed for $20k on Stub Hub
  10. As I posted above, England is my pick to win. They’ve had a great tournament.
  11. Sorry to ask instead of google but I’m drunk from Friday night of parents weekend at my son’s frat at UT. Is the England v Australia match not being televised? I found the NZ v Ireland match on NBCSN, but can’t find shit about the England game.
  12. that's like when a KU basketball player steps on a defenders foot and draws the blocking call
  13. If a Dallas player had made that tackle it would have been a PF for launching

Wu Chow and Lin’s for authentic (I guess. Don’t know what you mean by that) Old Thousand for new El Chino from 1990 n Sixth Street for nostalgia.
  17. Just watched the France match. Forwards played great in the first half, but never could convert a try. At half I thought not taking the PK was a mistake but there was no way we were stopping France in the second half. We need to beat Tonga for sure. Hopefully we can beat Argentina next Tuesday too. Offloading by the French, and their kicking game in the first half, was fun to watch.
  18. Some matches are on NBCSN (including Australia v Fiji that kicks off in 30 minutes). It’s part of my ATT Uverse lineup. Lot of young players for the Eagles. And they got a tough pod. Other than Tonga, not sure I see a win though. England Thursday will be a big test. I think England has a good shot at winning it all.
  19. There doesn’t appear to be a SCOTUS thread, so I’m posting this here. Constitutionality of Warren’s CFPB will be argued by an amicus as DOJ has agreed with the petitioner that it is unconstitutional. https://reason.com/2019/09/17/cfpb-decides-that-the-cfpb-is-unconstitutional/
  20. Just got my report back from ProTax. 11.12% reduction. Just goes to show how aggressive Travis County is and likely how many people who don’t protest are getting screwed by their local government.
  21. Paris in Epcot and Brown Derby in Studios. Make reservations for both well in advance of your trip.

  23. And just like that, he ties it up
  24. I can’t imagine that place will stay in business. No parking and tucked back over by Shoal Creek. It’s never crowded when I walk by. And they’re not open on Sunday.
  25. Cedar Door basically invented the Mexican Martini style Margarita. I haven't had one in years since I don't office near there anymore, but I would imagine they're still delicious.
