  1. Westbrook leads 25-10 at half
  2. Westbrook goes 66 yards on one play for the TD. Now lead 22-7 and that's with two turnovers as well. Westlake better get their offense going of this game is over.
  3. Westbrook answers immediately. McGrew from 69 yards. 15-7 Westbrook over Westlake.
  4. Westbrook returns a fumble recovery for a 60+ yard TD
  5. anyone know if Dylin Duhon for Westbrook is related to Brent Duhon of the Port Arthur Connection?
  6. TD saving OSKIE by Drew Webster of Westlake. Westlake starting second series from their 20. 0-0.
  7. Rare guilty pleasure over the past few years, but the last Taco Bueno in Austin at Slaughter and Mopac apparently closed down.
  8. Citation? My understanding is that under the ACA annual and lifetime limits are prohibited. Since you seem to know, what are the limits on coverage for catastrophic cases (whatever that means)?
  9. Statement from Texas Football senior DL Breckyn Hager:“I consider sportsmanship to be an essential part of the game I so truly love. I spoke with our athletics director Chris Del Conte and Coach Herman about what I said after Saturday’s game and understand why it reflected poorly on me and my team. I had no ill intentions when I made my comments about Oklahoma, which included a phrase that’s used by fans, but I have to realize that it’s different coming from me. My thought process was that it would put a fun and light-hearted charge into the greatest rivalry in college football that my family has been involved in playing in for many years, but I can see now that was not the way to do it. I have the utmost respect for the University of Oklahoma and their football program and know a number of players on their team, and I want to apologize to them. I want to represent myself, my family, my football program, my University, and the Big 12 Conference in the best possible way. I’m truly sorry for the comments I made, will learn from this, and will keep working to improve my ability to think about the ramifications of what I say before I say it.”
  10. If it turns out they're playing each other, OU and Texas should petition the Big 12 to have the Big 12 CCG playyed at Fair Park at 2:30 on December 1

    Fried Chicken

For the basic stuff Bush's is hard to beat. There's one down around Slaughter and Brodie. Top Notch also fits the bill for basic. Max's Wine Dive had great fried chicken a few years back, but I haven't eaten there since I quit working in that part of town.

    Pizza

Craig O's or Southside Flying Pizza have good lunch deals. Conans, Via, East Side Pies and Home Slice for dinner and dinner prices.

    Tex Mex

Maudie's is my. Personal favorite. Wife loves Polvo's for the fish and shrimp dishes. El Dorado is one of our newer favorites. Used to love Dario's but have had bad experiences at Don Dario's the two times I tried it. Worth going back for a third?
  16. I don’t disagree. Look at the over abundance of speed bumps on side streets that have been installed since the work on Bee Caves Road started. Much bigger pain in the ass to residents but a few noisy types convinced the council that they would slow down cut through traffic. They, of course, haven’t. You think Austin neighborhood groups are NIMBY? Go to a West Lake City Council meeting where an owner wants a variance to remove a 14” circumference cedar tree.
  17. I guarantee you that the West Lake Hills residents pay more taxes to the City of Austin in the form of sales tax than the City of Austin, Bee Cave and Lakeway residents that cut through West Lake to use the low water bridge pay in West Lake taxes. And believe me, knowing many of my neighbors, and reading the shitshow that is Nextdoor, lots of West Lake residents would be fine gating off Westlake Drive and Redbud to non-residents in exchange for giving up the Red Bud Bridge.
  18. They should rename Lady Bird/Town Lake "John Snow Lake"
  19. Rumor going around campus that the water is going to be so bad after tomorrow that residents will be advised not to use it for sanitizing, bathing, dishwashing, hand washing or laundry. Son just sent me a text from a friend of his who works for one of the water districts. Guess it's time to panic buy again.
  20. This was posted on Austin Reddit. Check out the difference in color of the water in Travis and Lake Austin. Obviously because it comes out of the bottom of Travis where it’s settled, but that shit isn’t settling in Lake Austin anytime soon. Lake Travis is enormous. It’s going to take a while for this stuff to go away if they keep any gates open. https://youtu.be/qRWo8xxZpNc
