  1. LOL - why would we expect anything else but a drive killing holding call?
  2. Not a good sign that Parsons was off the field on 3rd and 21.
  3. The talking heads weren’t wrong on Monday morning when they said the SF running game was a bad matchup.
  4. Welp. Can’t say I’m not surprised at this start.
  5. Now that the season is over, I'm thinking about all the work that needs to be done as we go into the first spring at my new place: put up a new blind, build a food plot, drag the roads, maybe plant some sunflowers for the dove. I'm almost as excited about that as I am for the actual hunting itself.
  6. My 14yo son is acting the same way, spouting stats and "Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs vs Jimmy G" type stuff. I just nod and say, "uh huh". Wife asked me who I thought would win and I honestly told her, "On paper, the Cowboys are the better team. But this is the Cowboys in the playoffs post 1996 and until they prove me otherwise, I'm honestly expecting a 49ers win. I will be pleasantly surprised if the Cowboys win but I won't let myself get upset if they don't." Feel kind of dirty for writing that, but old age gets you all realistic sometimes. I've seen this all before.
  7. I'd say this is correct. He probably does "care about winning" to the extent that he doesn't like losing and gets excited about winning individual games, but he doesn't care in the right way. Being the big cheese and making money - and he has been tremendously good at it since 1989 - is the real priority.
  8. I don't carry as often as I should, but when I do, it's my Hellcat in one of these in my pocket. Much more comfortable than a waistband holster. (stock image)
  9. The one you are thinking of was Romo's first year where he fumbled the snap on the game winning field goal. Then we also played Seattle again a couple of years ago in Dallas and beat them on a Saturday night. What I remember about that first game was that someone had started a satirical Drew Bledsoe blog earlier in the season called "Tony Homo" and he was live blogging the game when that happened. I thought it was pretty funny at the time. Looks like the blog is still up 15 years later and he has made a couple of sporadic posts over the years. It definitely would have been a good twitter parody account, just a few years early. https://tonyhomo.blogspot.com
  10. I came out here to the ranch in Scurry County this weekend and the local Sunday 12:00 game was Steelers-Ravens. Nobody outside of Houston cares about the Texans, not even actual Texans.
  11. Goddam, that game was the tits. That was the game when I realized Jimmy's Cowboys were for real and not just a hot streak That was the beginning of the dynasty. I think the Cowboys realized it after that game, too, because they got some swagger, too.
  12. Definitely want to learn. Just don’t have time or patience to do it today. Have to leave town later to get to my businsss meeting which is the reason why I got the hall pass to come out here in the first place.
  13. Fair enough. Fair enough. I just dropped him off at the taxidermist who is going to cape him for me. He will weigh it first and get back to me. 250, 200, 150. I don’t care. He’s still big. Ha ha.
  14. Would you expect the two participants in the championship game - both from the SEC no doubt - to say anything else? Good grief.
  15. Jimmy G is always good for a couple of picks versus a defense with a pulse. Cowboys lead the league in takeaways, so they have no excuses here.
  16. That golden spike gun is really cool. Sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing.
  17. Finally got him. He has been coming around to our house feeder for so long I think we are going to have him mounted and put in the living room. Guessing he's 250+ lbs? I have no idea. Big boy. First ever kill with my thermal scope.
  18. They have clinched. The only spot that is still open is the 49ers/Saints. But just like the Cowboys, the Eagles are supposedly playing for seeding, too.
  19. Trying to decide whether to get one last doe for the freezer tomorrow or staying up late to watch the Cowboys and hope the elusive giant pig and/or a coyote shows up at the house feeder. Pretty sure I'm going to choose the latter. Supposed to be pretty damn cold in the morning.
  20. This is poorly written, but: Basically, Cowboys win and Cardinals and Rams lose and Cowboys move up to #3. Bucs lose too and Cowboys move up to #2. Rams haven't beaten the 49ers in a couple of years. Bucs beat the shit out of the panthers two weeks ago but they also have a ton of inuries right now. Biggest problem is that the Seahawks are no good and have to go play at Arizona. Cowboys should have taken care of business last week...
  21. Mayfield is such dogshit right now. I'd be loving it if he wasn't killing Nick Chubb in my fantasy final right now.
