  1. I literally this morning ordered another 5.56 and another .308. That gets me into the "more than a few" category. Biden is going to come in swinging executive orders in a month and even if they eventually get shut down by the courts, they'll be enforced for at least a couple of years while it winds its way to SCOTUS. The price I paid this morning is literally twice what I would have paid for similar guns a year ago, but it's not going to be cheaper anytime soon.
  2. Getting cheaper.... https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting-gear-gun-supplies/ammunition-ammo-for-hunting-shooting-sports/handgun-ammo-hunting-shooting-sports/cci-independence-9mm-luger-115gr-fmj-handgun-ammo-1000-rounds/p/1629202?avad=190366_c1ecfea59&utm_source=avantlink&utm_medium=www.facebook.com%2Fmrgunsngear&utm_campaign=Easy+Link
  3. Those new Springfield AR's a pretty. I need one.
  4. I will do sporting for fun with guests or at corporate outings and it's all I can get my kids to do at the gun club. Don't forget that in addition to the expensive gun and all the fancy chokes you'll want to buy, you also need to buy ammo on a regular basis and rent a golf cart... until you decide that the basic golf carts aren't tricked out enough and don't have the right kind of gun rack and heater and tinted windows and performance tires so then you'll need to buy one of those, too.
  5. Still ridiculously expensive compared to the good ol' days of a year ago, but I'm starting to see more and more 9 mm available in large quantities and common weights. https://www.laxammo.com/handgun/9mm-ammo/norma-9-mm-115-gr-fmj-1214-fps-detail
  6. Those resources paired with a guy like that who kills himself in Florida on the recruiting trail....
  7. The QB on a championship team is always the best player in all of college football. I think that's in the constitution.
  8. LSU is going to ruin MY fucking season (even more) if this ends up helping aggy get into the playoff.
  9. And it's all going to be executive orders because "this crisis can't wait for congress to act!" barf
  10. His mama is the most charismatic cow out there. Not afraid to "talk" to humans who come by and ask to get her nose rubbed or a stray cube. She is the one who had a calf die last spring and she stood over the carcass for a week before anyone could get close enough to take it away. This new little guy seems to be doing pretty well and having luck so far. He's going to need it to keep up with his mom. All corrientes and the gray brahma bull. The calves thus far are very interesting looking.
  11. Guess who came back last week? Kids are ecstatic. And he came right back looking for a handful of cubes as soon as he saw us. Cows seem happier too, since he's back just in time to start witnessing the results of his hard work last spring.
  12. That last play was closer than I expected it to be. So close.
  13. Surprised they aren't reviewing targeting there, even if it really wasn't.
  14. Any ideas? Head and craw are still attached, that and time of year makes me want to rule out a raccoon. Thinking maybe a dog or coyote? The breast is ripped off and stomach exposed Three got out of the tractor yesterday afternoon that we couldn’t catch. Came back after dark and one was sitting on top and got put back inside but the other two were nowhere to be seen. Came back this morning and found this carnage and the other one walking around with PTSD but unharmed otherwise.
  15. The play is at 1:10:20. This is the reverse angle and the QB hit is offscreen as well at the very end. Not very illuminating. That's what you get when you only have one camera. You barely catch the kid running back on the field before the camera pans away and then they quickly go to commercial when they see what's happening. "And.... we'll be back."
  16. Listen for it. It's very clear on the video right when the ref hits the turf at ~27 seconds. Kind of funny even if the rest of the story is terrible. The local news here in Houston just showed the offending play. The actual hit happened just off screen, but the play itself didn't seem all that bad. He was chasing the QB and took one too many steps. Where the kid screwed up was that after the first flag he got in the refs face and started arguing the call. Can't tell but he might have touched the referee while he was arguing. That was the personal foul and definitely worthy of ejection.
  17. Houston. Larry Feland is my guy. Highly recommended and entertaining as hell when he's in the shop at the same time you are.
  18. Found this on Gunbroker a couple of weeks ago and finally picked it up from the FFL yesterday. It's a stop gap until the one I factory ordered in August is finally ready, which I recently heard from the dealer is going to be delayed further due to covid restrictions in Italy. So, I decided to just find a used one for now to tide me over. Still need to get this one tubed and get the stock adjusted to my measurements before I can start shooting it for real, but at least I have it in my hands now.
  19. I presume you are talking about the $400 12 gauge model? My brother has one and likes it, but he isn't a clays shooter and doesn't put many rounds through it. Mostly just carries it when walking around looking for quail in Scurry County. For that price, I'd guess the quality of the materials isn't as good as a more reputable brand, including inside the action. As with anything, it will wear out more quickly the more often you use it. Probably OK for occasional hunting use but my guess is that as a high-volume clays gun it won't last as long as a Beretta or Browning O/U. All that being said, for that price, take a flyer and buy one and use it and let us know what you think.
  20. I don't begrudge that old man at SG Ammo one bit. I regularly bought from there for a couple of years and he had good prices and every weekly email said (paraphrasing), "This shit is cheap. You better buy it now before there's another shortage." Can't say he didn't warn us! EDIT: I have no idea if he's an old man or not. His newsletter is just more fun to read that way.
  21. Holy shit he got wrecked.
  22. I've felt this way all week. My LSU friends are telling me I am too optimistic. But after tonight they have road games at Auburn and Tennessee. Both of those fit the aggy step on rake pattern.
