  1. I was somewhat disappointed with the Cyber Q (BBQ Guru) that I purchased a few weeks ago, so at the advice of the BGE Facebook group, I bought a Fireboard instead. The guru controller did its job fine and maintained the temperature, but the internet and bluetooth connectivity were pretty spotty and I had to log back onto the wifi network constantly. My main complaint was that I wanted to be able to sit at my desk in my study - on the opposite side of the house from the patio - and watch the BGE cook and I was unable to do it with the Cyber Q. Having used the Fireboard twice now, I highly recommend it over the Cyber Q. The controller works well, the interface is better, and the connectivity is MUCH better and does exactly what I was needing it to do. I can check on a cook from across town. Could not do that on the other one. It also has a battery and with a USB-C plug and will run with any 12V bbq fan with a barrel connector, so all you have to do is buy the controller and you can still use the old fan from your old controller. Here are a couple of screenshots plus a marketing photo (couldn't get a good picture of mine outside)
  2. My shotshell reloading buddies say it's impossible to find primers right now. The last time there were shortages it was powder and to a lesser extent, lead. Personally, I can't find 410 ammo anywhere. This is all Ammoseek shows at the moment for ANY 410 ammo, much less specific brands or shot size:
  3. Well, he does have a lot of experience dealing with these kinds of problems.
  4. Not if you bought it at $35 earlier this year. Also, that Midland High (Doug McCutchen?) cap is outstanding retro.
  5. At this rate by the time the Perazzi factory opens back up, you'll be ready to order one too.
  6. Fun story from the gun club this morning: I have bigger than average hands. The palm swell on my Beretta 682 Sporting is regular size and thus is too small so I have to remind myself not to wrap the trigger when I mount it. The danger of wrapping the trigger is that it's easier to yip and shoot too early. So I always take care to make sure only my fingertip is on the trigger before I call for the target. But this means you can't grip the gun as tightly and sometimes it might slip while you're swinging it. Have never shot 50 straight before in registered skeet. Went 25 straight in round 3 this morning and had done 24 more. One more shot on 8 low was all I needed. Last shot of the round. I mount the gun and as soon as I call for the target the gun goes off in my hand and fires right into the low house window. Lost bird. YIP YIP! In hindsight I was pretty nervous and was squeezing the the shit out of the gun. Bad news. At least the new P-gun I have on order has an appropriately sized grip for my hands, so as to reduce the yips. Goddamit.
  7. Ambivalent on whether it will be planned, but do agree that there will be a mass shooting - we average a few every year anyway - and as soon as it happens Joe (or the Ho) will start agitating about a ban on semi-autos or "assault rifles" or ammo. It's as predictable as the sun coming up. I fully expect them to threaten UPS and Fedex over mail order ammo and am fairly sure that both will succumb to the pressure sometime in the next 1-2 years. They'll come up with some compromise like shipping to FFL's or something, but the days of getting boxes of ammo delivered to your front door are going to end soon.
  8. He did for the first two years but chose to spend his capital on Obamacare. Not disagreeing with your main point though.
  9. I thought the same thing. They played hard for 60 minutes, especially on defense. Much better effort all around compared to the first half of the season.
  10. How the hell do the cowboys have the ball again?
  11. I didn't like the hire in January and I really don't like it now.
  12. Not sure which is worse, the Cowboys' ineptitude at the end or the officials' collusion on the 3 and out. It's all so fucking disgusting.
  13. Wait whut? Didn't work versus Iowa State did it?
  14. Tony's losing his touch. Roethlisberger ignored him twice on that drive.
  15. Well fuck. I'm drunker than I thought.
  16. Dude went to So. Carolina and is named Gallo? That's pretty apropos. LOL
  17. I always thought Superman bent the barrel back into a U shape.
  18. This is what I always think of when I see gatling guns. Although I think the original caliber of GG's was 45-70 and I think at that close a range there would be more carnage, even with the leather armor.
  19. Yeah, I might consider .22 LR on something like that but 9 MM is just a waste given the current situation.
  20. Not quite as big as I might have imagined, but the holes it pokes in bad guys would still be the right size. They say, "contact your dealer" but there is no list of dealers, so gotta make a @#$!#& phone call. https://tippmannarmory.com Only question I have is how does the ATF allow them to sell it?
  21. If they were playing Turtle Tom's Merry Bale of Testudines, Tech would be up by 21 at this point.
