  1. You should really get into recruiting if you are looking to be depressed 24/7/365.
  2. I just hope they flag the Horns down hand sign.
  3. I've only been to Lexington once and it was for business, but I was shocked by how nice the town and surrounding areas were. Lots of rich people and lots of horses. I will go back, and have heard great things about the whiskey tours.
  4. I was up in the Texas Section in the endzone nose bleeds. When we scored the first TD a bunch of people starting pulling out keys and jingling them. It got more pronounced with every TD. Pooooooor Aggies started raining down as they started filing out of the stadium (which legend holds they never actually do). It was glorious, and every Longhorn should get to experience it.
  5. Bro. It’s 2021. How are you unable to watch on your phone?
  6. And I said they are likely to move to 3 OOC games which will fix that problem. Are you my wife?
  7. I went to a first round NCAA tournament that WVU was in. I came in with no impression of them, and left hating them.
  8. I'm saying that the SEC doesn't control the individual team's OOC schedule any more than the Big 12 does. They definitely choose to play their share of cupcakes which is one of the reasons that they all have inflated W/L records and high rankings. We may decide to do that too, but it won't be because the SEC "imposed" it on us. Moving to 9 conference games will fix that for quite a few of them too. This year Georgia is playing Clemson, Alabama is playing Miami, Auburn is playing Penn State, and Arkansas is playing us. Hell even Vandy is playing Tree. When you also consider the auto OOC that some of them have (SC v Clemson, UF vs FSU, Aggy vs Prairie View) it is really the fact that they have 4 open dates that makes the OOC look so weak. Cut that to 3 and play a name school for one of those and the typical SEC schedule won't look much different than ours.
  9. I couldnt bear not getting a chance to humiliate blowU every year, and I look forward to reigniting a piggy rivalry I never really knew first hand, but I could die living a fullfilled life with NO RAGRETS if we never play aggy ever again. I shudder at the thought of a few thousand gomers defiling DKR, and pity the Longhorns who drive to Collie station to sit inside a giant, smelly Kroger. One of my favorite memories was yelling Poooooor Aggies! in BCS after the 2003 game. Going to College Station and humiliating the Aggies is something every Longhorn should experience. a) That is completely untrue, and being in the SEC will allow us to schedule tougher OOC, because SEC treatment means good losses don't hurt as bad b) I've been to numerous SEC games, and the only times I remember hearing this chant was 2008 SEC title game, 2008 National Title Game, 2019 Sugar Bowl (by me and all of the Texas fans). Sure it happens, but it isn't an every game type of thing. c) not gonna argue this one, because it is kinda true. I hope we don't adopt that mentality. d) Cheating had a part, but cheating also killed the SWC and none of those cheaters gained from it. The main reason it is the premier conference is because it has been forward looking and innovative since adding Arky and SC in 91 and playing the first conference championship ever. The SEC has elevated that spot by branding themselves as the best conference and having it repeated by ESPN long enough that it actually came true. The flip side to this coin is the fact that everyone on the $9.95 board wants us to join the cheating party, and I agree to an extent. We now have the leadership bold enough to move us into that conference, and I doubt we are doing this eyes wide shut. We just need to figure out the new landscape and maximize our brand potential. Being in the SEC will be the way we get back to the top.
  10. I have a ton of Auburn and Gator friends and they are all pumped.
  11. No brainer, but still shocked we did it. Playing even the dregs of the SEC is better than the Big 12 line up. Iowa State is the 2nd best team in our current conference. Fucking Iowa State. We traded a whole bunch of who cares match ups for a future rotation of LSU, Arkansas, Georgia, Auburn, Bammer, UF and Tennessee (oh yeah and aggy). That's better than any other conference and it isn't even close. Of course I'm also happy that I can make a ton of away games with less than a 5 hour drive from where I live.
  12. I think I read that if you are vaccinated you are not subject to testing. If everyone were vaccinated, nobody would get tested without being sick and showing symptoms. Quarantine rules and other things are greatly reduced for vaccinated players as well.
  13. Kickball is the much better alternative. Eliminate the softball bros almost entirely and greatly increases the likelihood the hot chicks will play. csb/ our upstairs neighbors in college were St. Ed softball players. 2 of the 3 were pretty hot, and all 3 were cool as hell. I don't think any of the three were interested in dudes. But times have changed in the last couple decades.
  14. His comments a week ago were very aggyish. FSU has a pretty big inferiority complex. "My point to (FSU director of athletics) David Coburn and to (new ACC commissioner) Jim Phillips is I don't want Florida State to be left behind. I consider us as part of the ACC, but I also know that we have a marquee name, Clemson has a marquee name. I think there might be people coming after us, I don't know, but we've got to be prepared no matter what the options are.”
  15. We might be Clark, but we got a whole lot better than the jelly of the month club
  16. The PAC should definitely consider adding at least OSU and Tech. I would actually watch those schools against the PAC, and I bet a lot of other non-fans of those schools would too. Right now, I couldn't care less about what happens in a PAC season. If the PAC decides to stay strictly west coast, they will continue their slow death. Adding central time zone games and trying to at least have a market or two in and around Texas is what is best for that league. So they probably won't do it. The B1G never did anything for me, and I never wanted to join there. I was somewhat excited about the PAC 16 deal that fell through. Man, am I glad that fell through now...
  17. Funny that others want to use us and OU as a way to yank some power away from Bammer. Of course we will still be blamed for the move in the long run.
  18. Missouri announced they were leaving in November of 2011 and played 2012 in the SEC. Fucking Mizzou 100% chance we will be playing SEC football in 2022
  19. UF hasn’t won the SEC since we won the Big 12. Kind of stupid they have him in Cocks gear, but they have never won the SEC either.
  20. Damn. It already feels good to belong to a real conference.
  21. Agreed. I didn’t click on any of the non imbedded links because I don’t trust any of you bastards.
