  1. I gotta wonder what both the offense running the ball well and the defense stopping the run well looks like in a practice. I know both are really, really improved since we did all of this "good on good". But how exactly does that work, that both improved? Seems like an impossibility to my non-mensa brain.
  2. Count Reggie Bush’s thot amongst things I didn’t expect to be updated on in the Fire Tom Herman thread. You do you surly. It sucks that this is the only thread I am interested in anymore.
  3. If we are going to hire nurses for the sidelines, sounds like we will be near 12 already. I say we toss that in as a paid perk.
  4. I don’t think I’ve seen Mark Stoops on any list yet. Guy can flat out coach, but doubt he would come here. He is my new Mullen, a good coach over performing at a typical doormat. Not sure he would win national titles, but he would win a conference title or 2 here.
  5. Considering 6 wins is his longest streak during his time at Texas, I would call winning the next 6 a very high hurdle indeed.
  6. To be fair, aside from the Sugar Bowl win, this team has never been in a really good place under Herman. So if he means "start the season with a loss to Maryland" kind of good place, maybe he is correct.
  7. That's good enough for me. But, I will say that he stepped down from UF due to medical issues and didn't know if he would coach again. He stepped down at OSU for completely different reasons, although I think his "health" helped cushion the departure for OSU. I think if the Zach Smith stuff never happened, he would still be coaching there. I have always expected him to take another job, I just didn't expect it to be Texas. The FCB podcast was definitely worth the listen (The Flagship from 247 posted last Friday). I rarely listen to it, so hat tip to whoever recommended it. It was basically 30 minutes of a lead OSU reporter talking about Urban. My takeaway was that Urban would likely be interested as long as we were. He talked a lot about LA vs Austin and seemed to lean toward Urban liking Texas better than USC if it came down to that.
  8. I bet Greenspoint has the VHS box set of ER and the complete Grey’s Anatomy on DVR.
  9. Three to cement it, but that may be hard to do in 5 years.
  10. Sweet, so sounds like the team with the ball last will win. Like all of our other games.
  11. He wins every game left, lucks into the playoff and wins the WHOLE. DAMN. THING.
  12. Someone would get stabbed if this was head to head. My money is on UNLV girl to start out the gate fast with a hair pull and her boyfriends helping her out. Then LSU Darlene Conner lands an elbow to the ribs and pulls a razor out of her boot.
  13. I say we say fuck it and let them do whatever they want this year. Let Urban and CDC figure it out next year.
  14. Yeah, not really. He has said they should get together and show a unified front, or at least have an agreement on what that protest looks like as a TEAM. Like I said, he has some reservations. He still wants the song to remain.
  15. I haven't heard many of their opinions, but I know that Bucky Godbolt and Rod Babers are in favor of keeping the song. Both seem pretty strong in their support as a matter of fact, although Rod has expressed some reservations and noted that he knew the origin as a player. Bucky called the players out pretty hard Monday morning. My issue is that we are letting the 2020 football team decide the future of a song that has been part of the history of Texas forever. I had no idea of its origin, and I have a slightly tainted opinion of the song now as a result of its origin. I realize that bringing the origin to the public will have an impact on our players, both black and otherwise. But that doesn't mean that the 2020 Texas Football team gets to be judge and jury of whether this song ever gets sung on campus again. If the 2005 team wants to vote, I may listen.
  16. Like Goldie Hawn in Wildcats? Hell yeah, let’s do this!
  17. An alternative to this clownish bullshit to show you were committed, would be actually playing good football.
