  1. I may, but I don't give a shit. The Gators since Spurrier have been one of the strongest brands in the nation in football. They have three nattys in your lifetime while Texas has 4 all time. And I get the 2008 argument, I was at that championship game as a Gator fan but bought tickets as a Longhorn fan. Then Tech happened. I will always believe that we got screwed out by voters and OU. Sure UF lost to Ole Miss at home, but they beat undefeated and #1 Bammer in the SEC championship game (also at that game) to earn their way in. We got voted out by shitty coaches in the Big 12 and elsewhere. Both Texas and UF beat OU on a neutral field by 10 points that year. I haven't convinced my Gator friends to split that title with us yet though. They all still appreciate us for 1996 though.
  2. Damn right! Middle of the pack is our new standard! Bro, I get that you are not old enough to recognize Michigan as a blue blood, but they are. Army has lost that spot, and Nebraska could if they don't come back soon, but Michigan has not. And to somehow argue that TEXAS is a blue blood while others aren't is pot - kettle - black. I am a part time Gator (did my MBA there), and I know that they are new money, but they would laugh in our face if we said they aren't blue blood and we are. This whole topic is subjective as hell, but trophies matter. Winning them, not just playing for them. We are definitely in the blue bloods of underachieving and doing less with more no doubt. Thanks for this derail from the depressing topic of cancelling the 2020 season though.
  3. Locking down for 4 months is much easier to do in communist China. Not sure I would say the Wuhan lockdown was due to the strong willed people.
  4. Are you selling tickets to the theater room? How much if yes?
  5. I can't wrap my brain around why certain people get it and others don't and the wide variety in severity of the cases. I am firmly in the middle ground of thinking this is a serious virus (had a close friend die from it - 44 years old for those that care) and also wondering what the right answer is (shutting down the economy and society for any long period of time is not the answer). But, a close friend who is a nurse practioner and likely got the virus that way, did not pass it to anyone else in her family, and they didn't do anything special to isolate her in the house. Her husband is one of the bigger guys I know (my buddy that passed was heavy also) so I was very worried about him getting it. He tested negative and never showed any symptoms at all. This was over a month ago, so I would think he is in the clear. I know other families that have had a positive, but no one else in the family showed symptoms or tested positive. Other than my buddy who passed away after 10 days in the hospital and 3 days on a vent, all of the other cases I am aware of have ranged from 2 days of feeling like complete shit to a week of headaches and loss of smell. No one else I know was hospitalized aside from an elderly mom that was moved from the nursing home to the hospital then back after beating the virus. This thing has very different effects on different people for whatever reason.
  6. But they wouldn’t be able walk on it. What am I thinking? They are aggy so they wouldn’t care.
  7. Same but different, in that both of my high schoolers are girls. But my senior is the cheer captain and their team that went 0-10 2 years ago went 8-1 last year and made the playoffs for the first time in a decade.
  8. Well, if I'M here and YOU'RE here, doesn't that make this OUR time?
  9. Damn! Add Kenyatta's mom to the milf list.
  10. Bro. I watched that in my 4th grade class room, and yes it is too soon.
  11. No way this is happening at Florida State. I refuse to believe it.
  12. If we didn’t have you to worry about the “fat fucks” whatever would we do? You are so noble and caring Fletch. Thanks for teaching us all!!!
  13. At least college football is still the most interesting thing to happen since the pandemic hit.
  14. The head coach at Valdosta State (Ga.) was on this local radio this morning talking about testing and said that he had 308 personnel that need testing. At current status he had to test 25% once every two weeks. I think he said all 308 needed to be tested 2 times weekly to play football. That's money Valdosta State doesn't have, and they won the national championship 2 years ago.
  15. I love how everything in life has to be somebodies fault. Now, of course it isn't China's fucking fault for unleashing this awful virus on the world, but it is the fault of anyone who had skepticism about the seriousness of this disease. Anyone that didn't think that this virus would exist for 18 to 24 months in some shape or form is an absolute fucking moron. Had the entire population sown masks to their faces in February, we would still have college football at risk this fall. Do you seriously think if we locked the whole country down in March, we would just go back to life as normal in time for college football to kick off? Are you that stupid?
  16. So he agrees with his coach then? Lesson learned?
  17. I don't know any college football players with it, but my 44 year old friend died from Covid this Monday morning at 5am. I've known the guy since I was old enough to ride a bike, and went to Key West with him in January. He was a heavy guy since the first day I knew him, played DT on our HS football team. He was a veterinarian and was in pretty good health overall, but used a CPAP or snored like a madman when he slept. I don't know of any other pre-existing conditions he may have had. He checked into the hospital on July 9th and his situation roller coastered until he went on a vent on the 17th. 3 days later he was dead. I don't consider it "just the flu" and I hope that is a good enough example of real life for you. I have a "life long condition" of living the rest of mine without a close friend. Pray that you don't get to experience how real this thing is like me and my friends.
  18. Can we start talking about this yet? Because in all honesty this is what is likely to happen, and we will be one of the lucky few to have our top tier QB come back rather than just go pro. He is very Tebow-esque in his abilities at the CFB level not translating to the pros. It will also give us time to figure out WR and our RBs will get a year to lift and get bigger and healthier. It also gives us a year to do a full install on the new systems. I mean, no football this year will suck royally, but we would set up well for a full skipped season.
  19. Which illustrates that we support LGBT as well. So, good all the way around.
  20. Good to see Overshown and others giving positive reactions. Any word from Eagles? He and Overshown had the strongest stances that I saw.
  21. The comment after the Kindle sack may be the most aggy comment after. Something along the lines of "he is trying to salvage a senior year, really a just dissapointing career as an aggy after coming to BCS as a highly rated recruit"
  22. We need exactly this to happen so Superman can go back and strangle the life out of patient zero. Also reminds me of something I saw saying that time travel will never be invented, because if it was, all of the time travelers would have arrived trying to stop 2020 from happening.
