  1. I guess I struggle to understand the liability. How is a lawyer going to confirm the location of infection of a virus?
  2. This explains why you never see hot aggy chicks. They are all minorities hiding from the rest of the aggy population.
  3. I wasn't sure where to drop this, but this thread responding to this comment seems right: I watched 13th on Netflix last night, which is an extremely interesting documentary on black life in America from slavery until 2016 and the beginning of BLM. I was educated and horrified. The documentary made the argument that the War on Drugs was simply a covert name for black oppression. They did a damn good job of backing that argument. I will admit it has a very specific view to it, and you should watch with an open mind. But they hammer both sides of the political aisle pretty evenly and make a ton of very good points that I had never really considered. ....Please feel free to resume name calling.
  4. I am shocked that the WHO is still as confused as anyone about this virus 6 months in. Shocked!
  5. I would love for that study to also compare the black students with their "meaningless degrees" earned while playing college sports compared to their friends that never go to college of any type.
  6. It means a lot of things. How many black people work for your company? Have you ever looked to mentor a black person or reach out to black children through Boys and Girls Club or Big Brothers Big Sisters? It takes admitting that black people are fundamentally disadvantaged based on skin color and history. It means not saying "yeah, but" when the narrative starts about criminal records or past infractions after another black person dies at the hands of cops. It involves looking deeper at protests by the Colin Kaepernicks of the world and not dismissing him as simply disrespecting the flag. I'm not trying to hold a moral high ground, because I have been as guilty as the next white guy in saying "not my problem." But that is the thing, it is all of our problem. What each person does about it depends on their situation, but you can make a difference in one way or another.
  7. Gotta say, if me and a buddy are both holding pistols and the best the other guy can come up with is a metal bar or a cinder block, I bet I can get him to drop said block / bar without unloading a full clip into his body.
  8. I love that it has gotten to this point. If we are declaring, I will also be on team "I don't want people to die"
  9. How about the Brockermeyers going Bama because we can't manage to get our shit straight?
  10. I'm not working from my damn house for the next 70 years
  11. So Georgia the state hs more people than Georgia the country. Lesson learned on quick google search info, and also a reality check in comparing the US to other countries.
  12. It is a good thing that article came out yesterday, since it appears they took a one day upturn (yes I know what a 7 day moving average is) and immediately went to press with the "upturn" A more pragmatic person may look at the graph below and see a downward trend since April 9th. And we are still talking about a few hundred people in a state of 4 million
  13. But then how would they all go 10-2 or 9-3?
  14. This is right for airline traffic currently. It is experiencing a modest uptick from 5%
  15. This is almost the exact situation with my 9 year old. She is a socializer (no CR) above all, and cannot stand the lockdown limiting her ability to connect with people.
  16. Not there yet, but let's say by Jan 2021 - The Road by Cormac McCarthy
  17. This is no doubt one of my biggest issues. I can hardly talk about the fact my 8th grader is missing the best months from a unique school that she will never get back. She tears up at the mention of it. Top that with the fact that there is nothing to do and no one to actually talk to. This is serious shit that needs to be discussed.
  18. Bro, if it took COVID for you to want to have $500k and a beach bum life in Costa you are truly living the #blessedlife
  19. 1) I was born in the US of A. But having seen plenty of Swiss and Icelandic chicks, I will reserve my opinion on lucky. 2) I held my tongue as Florida was beach shamed, but I have never thought that a beach was a good place to pass any type of virus. Sure I saw the sensational spring break videos, but that ain't real life here 90% of the time.
  20. What in the actual fuck is going on in here? Checking in from Florida to let you know we have all been running around like a bunch of irresponsible idiots for the past 2 weeks and the numbers are still falling, or at least not spiking. Is that a conversation for this thread? https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/florida/ I should probably move...
  21. Why don't they just admit that they track everything we do and say on our phones anyway? As long as they give us back college football.
  22. I used to do alcohol and drugs. I still do, but I used to too. - Mitch Hedberg
  23. 2001 and the goal post game was fantastic theater. I use that as an example when people around here in SEC country try to tell me that the Big 12 doesn't care as much about football. And also as a good example of how crazy Tech fans are. The game against Texas where they were throwing the bleachers out of the stadium was another good example.
