  1. Are you saying a paper calendar at home, or do y'all use an app? An app you or anybody on here likes? Preferably something that can be accessed via mobile and desktop. I'd like to get the shared calendar going, but I can't access personal google stuff from my work computer so it rules out google calendar. I don't like the iphone native calendar for adding events.
  2. Best Texas bourbon, preferably expensive? Wife’s boss is trying to impress somebody, but also wants it to be from Texas.
  3. Thanks. That’s what I thought. Sent him on his merry way.
  4. Good or bad?

    Tokyo

We stayed at the Park Hyatt. It was pretty awesome to end each night at the New York Bar. Our room would have checked all your wife's boxes 😉. However, this was in 2017 and I was able to use my corporate rate of around $500 per night. No idea how many arms and legs they're charging these days. 6 days in Tokyo sounds a bit much to me. As I've said before in this thread, I'd shorten and work in some days in Osaka.
  6. Also, do they sell beer at games?
  7. Driver's seat on my 2001 LX470 is getting pretty rough. Anybody have experience with a DIY replacement? Found this on ebay. Looks right, just no idea what I'm getting into. About Installation: Installation Takes About 60-90 Minutes Tools Required: Snips, Flat Head Screw Driver, Phillips Screw Driver, Socket, Wrench & Drill. More Information: Actual Replacement Cover, Not A Slip On or Pullover, You will Remove The Old Cover & Then Install the New Cover.

    Tex Mex

Que Divino opened up in NW Hills on Greystone near Mopac. It's very relevant to my geographic location as we're less than 5 minutes away. They just opened and seem to be going with a quiet/soft approach to work out the kinks. Google still says "Opens July", and when my wife called the person that answered the phone just said "Hello" such that she wasn't sure if she had the right number. He was very nice after that, but when asked about closing time it was "6 or 7". My FIL and SisterIL took my kids last night as my wife and I had plans. They said very friendly and the food definitely has potential, but it wasn't great. Some of it came out cold, carne guisada gravy was very thin, but flavors were there. Curious if anybody else has been. I'll post an update when I try it out.

    And old school video games/consoles.
  10. How was the trip?
  11. Awesome. Where did you get the gator?
  12. Appears to be all clear: https://www.statesman.com/story/news/local/2023/05/09/acc-northridge-campus-placed-on-lockdown-due-to-armed-person-nearby/70199045007/
  13. Please remember to post a review here.
  14. This is my first spring in our house in NW Hills, Austin. I posted in November about my yard guy spreading some perennial ryegrass with fertilizer. It did add some green, and does not look like it's choking the st. augustine or anything. I'm a total noob at this. What's the most important thing I should be doing right now? Some sort of fertilizer? We've been getting decent rain, but I might start running the sprinklers too. My st. augustine is just not very thick/green so I'd like to improve on that.
  15. Brother I just shit and pissed myself!
  16. Had a friend that did this while attending UT (the real one). Got a bunch of free Longhorn athletic gear every semester. Said if you left them open they could shoot fast and accurately, but he didn't have many other nice things to say about their game.
  17. Completely agree with po elvis. I would add that if you can stay the night in Ronda, you won't regret it. The tourist buses all leave, and there are some bad ass hotels on the cliffside. We stayed here. I haven't been to Cordoba, so can't comment on that.
  18. Does anybody have a fireplace/chimney sweep person they like and trust in the Austin area? We had 2 companies come out to inspect the fireplace/chimney at the house we bought in NW Hills. Both said we needed $5k+ of work, but had differing reasons and ways of spending all that dough. They wouldn't really answer the direct question of, "Ok, but can we safely use it today?". One company was Top Hat Chimney Sweeps, who I was not a fan of. I forget the other one.
  19. Taking my 4 year old to his first Horns bball game. Would like to avoid stubhub. Don't really care where we sit.
  20. Looking at this for fun family use. Have an almost 5 year old that I think will enjoy it. Amazon Telescope Any objections or alternative suggestions for amateur home use?
  21. And while I wait for that answer, any suggestions on best parking? Right now my plan is the AT&T Hotel garage.
  22. About to buy a couple off stubhub for tonight. Long time fan, but this will be my first in person experience. Do they sell beer?
  23. Google is not making me feel good about it
  24. New homeowner in Northwest Hills area of Austin. Our St. Augustine has some brown patches as the house was vacant during the summer so we weren't watering much. The yard guy I have hired suggested spreading perennial ryegrass with fertilizer (Fairway Supreme by Pennington to be exact), saying it will live in the winter and then die when it gets hot. I meant to research it, but didn't have a chance and he came and spread the seed today while I was on a work call. Was that a good choice? Will it mess with our St. Augustine? Or should I get my tweezers and pick up seed all weekend?
  25. New to the game. Put in a Bio Bidet Bliss 2000 in the master of our new house pretty much based on this thread. It's cool, but how is there still something to wipe after I've been blasted for 2-3 minutes? Am I doing this wrong? Is that just to be expected? Also, am I right that there is basically an enema setting? I haven't tried that.
