  1. Heading down in early November. Trying to book my puddle jumper flight. Our SWA flight is scheduled to land in BZE at 1:15 PM. Puddle jumper options are 1:40 or 2:40. We're not checking bags, but I'm assuming with entry activities we'll need to go with the 2:40. Thoughts on that? Similar for the return. Our flight leaves BZE at 2:10 PM. The puddle jumper lands at either 12:15 or 1:15 PM. Think we'd be ok pushing it a little and doing the 1:15, or do the exit procedures take a bit of time?

  3. +3. I believe it's $100/year when you pay the lump sum.
  4. Can't recommend this stroller/car seat combo enough. I laugh at people carrying heavy ass car seats around. Only downside is that when they grow out of it (around 1 year old), you'll need something new, as opposed to some that grow with your kid. The good thing is there's definitely a secondary market, so you can sell easily if needed Expensive, but worth every single penny IMO. You can find used on facebook marketplace or resale shop, but don't buy a knock-off brand (read an article those haven't been properly tested/certified). https://www.shopdoona.com/products/doona-car-seat-stroller We use this for diaper trash can. It uses regular kitchen trash bags, and works well for us.
  5. What is the best way to shop realistic leases? We need a 2nd car pronto for various reasons, but I'd prefer not to buy in this market. Lease deals I see advertised are for base models and low mileage. Is there a way to "build" a realistic lease on a website, or pretty much have to go to a dealer in person to work it out? I've never leased, so I also welcome any warnings that the lease market is just as bad or worse than buying, etc.
  6. At the recommendation of one of the food deliverers (not really a waitress due to the order at the counter aspect) when contemplating our 2nd round of ordering, we got the glass noodles and an order of karaage to mix/eat together. Was delicious. Will do again.
  7. Somebody doesn't use their signal when changing lanes ☝️
  8. Awesome pics. Definitely fond memories for me. My trek was about 22 years ago near as I can figure. My oldest son is 3. Hopefully I'll get back some day.
  9. Some quick googling says pure aluminum is about $0.89 per pound. So although a cool video, I'm gonna go with no on the "is it worth it".
  10. We stayed at this riad in Marrakech: http://www.riadkniza.com/ It's just inside the walls of Old Medina, so all the old city stuff (souks, historical sites, main square, etc) is very walkable, and it's also easy to leave the walls to check out the "modern" side of things which you'll likely want to do for some dining options. We did the hammam experience on site which was really cool, and they have a nice rooftop. The owner was very nice and served as our guide on a walking tour (not free, but worth it). I would not say he helped much on the haggling front. That was left to us. That can get stressful, but we had fun with the experience for the most part. Last thing I'd say is 7-8 days in Marrakech sounds like a lot to me unless you really are just planning to sit by the pool for a good portion of that, or if you plan on doing a ton of shopping. We were there during Ramadan. I would recommend trying to avoid that. It's weird eating and drinking during the day in front of people that can't. We didn't go anywhere else in Morocco as this was the end of a month on the road (spent mostly in Spain), so I can't help with the other questions.

And of course I just looked back at the flyer, which very clearly states it's Kid Friendly. Ha, my bad. Thanks for the confirmation!

@C-Man Would you say this is typically a kid-friendly event, or recommend a babysitter?

  14. We'll be up there May 16 - 24, which is "Early Season" so the Going to the Sun Road won't be open yet. Not ideal, but it's the timing that works for us. Hoping we'll miss some crowds by being early. I have a 3 year old. Can he do a kid's float trip? We are looking to rent a cabin somewhere between Glacier NP and Bozeman (where we fly out of). Any particular locations come to mind? Would like to relax a bit, but still do some hiking/fishing.
  15. My FIL won the putter in a closest to the pin challenge. I honestly don't think he has ever hit a putt with it, but obviously there are some minor dings visible on the bottom that got there somehow. The putter is currently with my FIL in Garden Oaks, Houston. I'm in Old East Dallas, and he makes frequent trips up here. Thinking $175. He'd probably throw in the Butterfinger tin to sweeten the deal.

It's actually very easy to make. https://www.themediterraneandish.com/homemade-labneh-recipe/
  17. Can regular consumers buy these? Their website says the below. Best to use a professional? Are you a homeowner? Professional servicing by Pest Management companies is needed for the employment of the In2Care Mosquito Trap. Veseris can assist you to find Pest Control experts in your area. Call toll-free 800-888-4897.
  18. XMET is showing up as completely worthless in my account. I was riding on free shares and a little profit, but was hoping to get something for the remainder. Can they really just go to absolute zero? Same for others that still have some?
  19. @RCRanger03 Are you completely out of FPVD? I sold the majority of mine for a nice gain, but still have 50k shares. Can't decide if I should let it ride or cash in the $1k today.
  20. Bid Ask spread is pretty wide at the moment.

Nothing wrong, just making sure you didn't see something saying they were closed longer. I'm glad you mentioned. We probably would've headed there after thawing out this weekend and been disappointed to find them closed.

What makes you say this? Not sure when they closed, but my wife picked up a few things on Feb 3rd (glanced at cc statement), and their website says they're closed till 2/22 due to a single case. We live close, so we drive by/go pretty frequently. On weekends there is often a line to get in, and not uncommon during the week either. Pretty much been like that all pandemic. I certainly hope they're doing ok.
  23. -26F in Quebec City, 1/2/2014. Been skiing all my life and lived in Manhattan and shit for 10 years. -26 was...eye opening. Pick a summer in Texas for the high. Looks like it was 112 in Dallas in 2018. I was here then.
  24. A separate /WSB thread makes way more sense.
