I treat patients who can’t pay. And I can’t write that care off. So I actually pay to care for them, because my overhead is the same regardless of whether I’m seeing paying patients or not. So I absolutely see that people are hurting. I also am the first person on the maternal side of my family to graduate high school, and grew up with not much and have family members who still don’t have much and rely almost completely on the government for their livelihoods. So when I see Medicare patients or patients who are self pay or no pay because our healthcare system is so fucked up wearing MAGA gear, or certain family members and childhood friends posting on Facebook about this wonderful, God granted red wave, I am no longer just an eye roller. My daughters are in literal peril of their lives should they get pregnant in my state. My daughters as well as gay friends and family members are in physical danger due to the newfound boldness of bigots and freaks who don’t consider them as human. I have no more fucks to give for any of them. I will care for my patients as I always have, taking them as I find them. I will not go out of my way one little bit to help anyone who voted this orange shitgibbon and his minions into office. My only priority at this point is the wellbeing of my immediate family
And the idea that anything Trump plans on doing is going to lower grocery or gas prices is too ridiculous to even address
